I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. The pacing of the book was great and it help my interest the whole time.

I wanted to like this book as an addition to my library, but I just don't think it will resonate with my teenage student even though part of the story is about a child with a nonconforming gender identity.

The book seemed more about the author's experience teaching than what his daughter, Ollie, was experiencing and that's what I wanted more of.

Rademacher's writing style is engaging, entertaining and funny. He applies these skills to the topic of a gifted, nonbinary child experiencing public schools today.
