Absolutely enthralling and unbelievably sexy, this story of Eros and Psyche will knock you off your feet.

I couldn't put it down. Psyche was perfect, I especially love how she was a curvy girl. I loved Eros's confidence in their relationship. This was sweet and sexy and I am already anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!

Electric Idol picks up where Neon Gods left off. Persephone's sister Psyche has ended up on the wrong side of Aphrodite. In an effort to escape danger she ends up having to trust one of Olympus' most notorious bad boys.
Where the first book in the series was dark and sexy, this second books is much more sweet and tender. Our main character Psyche is a classic girl next door type, turned fat-positive influencer. I really loved seeing the reputation of a bigger woman still being seen as the object of desire worthy of love. I can't wait to read more in this series!

This is my first book for this author, and I wasn't impressed. I have only read a few erotica books, but this story fell flat. I don't care about racially simple descriptive words like a white or black person. I would have enjoyed the book more if it used a little more descriptive, I know that we are going through this odd time where words are being twisted to fit some sort of narrative but in the case of making a romance book base on greek mythology set in modern times. This is not the one.

So we continue to follow with the Dimitriou sisters. Still, this time our lead is Psyche as she is pulled into a marriage with the delicious and deadly Eros (not my words, but I agree with this description) to save her life, a life that he was initially asked to end.
We follow them to play a game of husband and wife and play the media and public, making them think they are entirely in love with each other as they fall in love with each other!

FOLKS, I have discovered that I love a particular type of enemy to lovers; enemies to lovers who pretend to be married and pretend to be in love. The moment this deal was made, I was so giddy and involved. I knew this book was going to give me everything!
We had a plus-size Goddess who is intelligent, kind, cunning and played everyone who underestimated her. We got a love interest, a bad guy (literally) who reconnected to his humanity and emotions because he was finally given the change!
ALSO, this world with titles and legacies is captivating on its own; like this world is alluring with its politics and power structures, I need more. I am so invested in the new Zeus and Hera, and I WANT A STORY FROM THEM! I need an enemy to lovers!

My only complaint…. Nah, it’s not a complaint at all, more like a small note. I want the books more extended, so the ending where everything gets resolved has a little bit more room to breathe.
Anyway, Katee Robert continues to earn my love and money, so I FULLY recommend this book!

This book was sexy, hello MIRRORS, and surprisingly super tender. I loved being back in Olympus and learning more about the power hierarchy that moves in this city. I LOVED Psyche, her confidence and her take no shit attitude. The fat representation was lovely to see but most importantly her self love. Eros, sweet baby, I just wanted to love him. He definitely has to work on his mommy issues but loved his dominance and tenderness.

The Steam - Whew! Katee did not disappoint. Her oral scenes are by far some of my favorites. The mirror scene, JESUS!!! I did find that the Steam was turned down a notch compared to Neon Gods but still so delicious.

My criticism is that I felt that the author described side characters as Black or Latinx without any purpose but to check a diversity box. Like the bartender at one spot is described as Latina without serving any purpose to the story? Like ok …. And? She served your drink and now she’s gone so what was the point in that?

Overall another fabulous and sexy retelling!

Katee Robert has quickly become one of my favorite authors. Electric Idol isn't quite as good as Neon Gods, nor is it as steamy in my opinion, but it's still a sold book 2. Psyche is a great character and I love the heavy body positivity message throughout. Once again the male lead, Eros, is super respectful and is constantly checking for consent. I can not wait for book 3.

It's easy and steamy and I love that Psyche is plus sized! I think maybe there needs to be a little bit more delineation between Persephone and Psyche, they both felt like good characters, but very similar characters.. Still, I'd read more in the series!
