I really enjoy reading these books and getting a glimpse of Amish life. That Millie has such a great "English" friend is awesome, and it is funny when Millie is so stymied by some of the comments that Lois makes. I have also read Flower's Amish Candy Shop series so it is great to see the way that she brings in characters from the other series and really makes it seem like Harvest, Ohio is a town full of fun people and events. I think that I would like to visit there some day.

The third in Amanda Flower's An Amish Matchmaker Mystery series was completely engaging from the very beginning. I love the juxtaposition of childhood best friends, one of whom is Amish and the other not. Millie is an unofficial Amish Matchmaker and is dogged in her efforts to help resolve the decades old mystery as to the murder of Uriah Schrock's brother-in-law and the disappearance of his sister Galilee at the same time. The author used a kind and light hand in addressing many nuances of difference between the Amish and English ways of life. The characters are all so engaging and with all of the twists and turns many became suspects in my mind. The resolution of the murder was truly a surprise to me. I was disheartened by Uriah's leaving and hope that there is a happier time in the future for him and Millie, and perhaps Lois and her ex-boyfriend the former coroner.

Marriage Can Be Mischief by Amanda Flower is the third book in the An Amish Matchmaker Mystery series. This cozy mystery focuses on a cold case in the Amish community that comes back into the picture when remains are found. Millie, an Amish matchmaker, and Lois, her Englisch best friend, find themselves tied up in the case, searching for the killer.

I loved everything about this book and I love everything about this series. The characters are so fun and I love getting to know them through each mystery in this series. I love the setting of Harvest, OH and the mix of Amish and Englisch life. I just love everything about this series and this book was no exception. It is definitely worth taking the time to see what Millie and Lois get up to in this “Amish Marple” mystery.

Set in the Amish Village of Harvest Ohio, Marriage Can Be Mischief is one of my favorite new books by Amanda Flower. Very well-crafted characters and a fun storyline make this a great cozy mystery.

I don't know what it is about these little cozy mysteries that I just enjoy so much! Perhaps it's how easy Millie makes the simple lifestyle look. Or maybe it's the dynamic friendship between her and Lois, I don't know for sure, but I enjoy the heck out of it. I don't want to spoil this for anyone who's yet to read it, but my heart was a bit sad with this ending - I'm hoping (fingers crossed) that something happens down the road, I look forward to the next book!

Thank you netgalley, for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Amanda Flowers delivers yet another funny, captivating book as Millie and Lois, two amateur detectives and matchmakers, try to solve a cold case murder. Throw in their two goats, Philip and Peter with their crazy shenanigans and a police officer who wants nothing to do with the Amish and you get a whirlwind of a storyline. It will keep you guessing in more ways than one.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher for my review and honest opinion.

Another mystery in Harvest, this time a cold case!

I enjoyed this book just as much as some of the others by the same author, the candy shop and bookstore mysteries. This book has very likeable characters that have warmness about them. Millie is a fun old lady detective!

I was definitely guessing the whole way though the story as far as the killer, even though the book had a bit of a slow start. The cold case part gave the story a bit of a twist when the past and current collided.

This was an enjoyable book and I am excited for more to come in the series!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me a free digital copy of this ARC for my honest review.

The Amish Matchmaking series is a great light read and this installment did not disappoint. Millie and Lois once again are trying to solve a murder. This one is from the past. It made me smile and was hard to put down.

3.5 stars

Millie and Lois are fun characters, and the two friends, one Amish and on English, are at it again. They can't seem to stay away from being amateur detectives. The goats are a fun addition to the story. This is part of a series, but it is a quick read that could stand alone. It's fun to sleuth along with Millie and Lois.

I love The Amish Matchmaker Mysteries! I especially love Millie and Lois! They are at it again trying to solve a murder. This murder occurred 40 years ago and of course the Sheriff has no interest in resurrecting the crime. I hope that we learn soon why he is so against the Amish. Millie's goats are up to their normal antics! They make me laugh. I love Amanda Flower's cozy mysteries because they always make me laugh along with bringing some anxious moments when the killer is just about to be revealed! A great addition to the series and as always, I'll be waiting for the next one!

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of MARRIAGE CAN BE MISCHIEF (Book 3 of the Amish Matchmaker Mysteries), by Amanda Flower, in exchange for an honest review. For months, Amish Matchmaker Millie Fisher has been renewing her friendship with her former suitor Uriah Schrock. When Uriah acts out of character by failing to show up for a work assignment, Millie’s concerned. When Millie spots him at a police investigation of human skeletal remains, Millie’s worried. The remains are subsequently identified as Uriah’s sister Galilee, who disappeared forty years prior on the same night her husband was murdered. Though Uriah was initially identified as a suspect, local law enforcement ruled the death accidental despite indicators that it was homicide and closed the case without investigating the death. Even though Uriah and the police have both given up on finding answers, Millie (the Amish Marple) and her best friend Lois investigate the cold case.

I like this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy mysteries featuring murder, cold cases, Amish, matchmaking, secrets, church politics, quilting, and funny goats.

Amanda Flower gives us another great book with this, the third in The Amish Matchmaker Series. She welcomes us back to Harvest, OH and the delightful characters of Millie, an Amish widow who is known for her matchmaking and detective capabilities and Lois, her English life-long friend and accomplice in solving crimes.

Once again, a crime has been committed that needs to be solved, particularly since it occurred 40 years ago and their Amish friend, Uriah, is looking for answers to what really happened to his sister.

There are many surprises along the way to solving the mystery. You do not want to miss reading this book as you will not be able to put it down until you get to the end. I highly recommend this book for all lovers of the Amish genre, mysteries, and Amanda Flowers Books.

I received an advanced copy of this book from Kensington Books and NetGalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

Widowed Amish matchmaker Millie Fisher (AKA Amish Marple) has moved back to her home county in Ohio after caring for her sister in Michigan. Now that they are 67, Millie and her non-Amish friend from childhood, Lois, are still great friends despite their differing lifestyles and are kind of like Holmes and Watson. This is the third time they are involved in ferreting out the truth of murder, but this time is more difficult: A. because the case is 40 years old, and B. because the sheriff wants nothing to do with the Amish in his county and ignores logic because of it. Add in a difficult clergy wife, a young couple with a misunderstanding, and *the goats*. Mostly it's a good mystery, but the hilarious incidents creep up now and again to make you laugh your sox off. Loved it and it really can stand alone.
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley. Thank you!
There have been references to the Amish in Ohio, Michigan, now Indiana. Can't wait for our folks in Wisconsin!

Millie and Lois come across the police one evening when a body in found. It's likely the Uriah's sister who has been missing for 40 years now. Once Millie learns this, she and Lois are on their next case, trying to find out what happened to the woman and her abusive husband all those years ago. Now it's a matter of getting a confession from the killer because there is no evidence and too much time has passed. Will the ladies find justice for Gali or will the killer strike again and end their sleuthing for good?

Amanda Flower knocks it out of the town commons yet again! I don't think that she has written anything I haven't liked to date. That's saying something with all the series and books she has written. If you haven't read Amanda's work yet, what are you waiting for? You'll soon be enchanted as well.

Think is the 3rd book in the Amish Matchmaker Mystery series. It’s a charming cozy mystery that I really enjoyed! I love visiting the characters in Harvest, OH. They are well drawn and I can easily imagine them as real people. Millie and her best friend Lois are back solving another murder, this one a cold case of a dead husband and his wife, who disappeared the night he died. I highly recommend this book, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Marriage can be Murder by Amanda Flower in exchange for an honest review. Millie Fisher is Amish and Lois is English, and they have known each other for many years as good friends. Both are now nearing the end of their 60's. They live in the village of Harvest, OH. Millie is a quilter and also a matchmaker. A friend, Uriah, is missing. Then a skull is found by a film crew.
Amanda Flower is a great writer. I've read two of her series and have enjoyed them. I was kept guessing who the killer was till the end.
