This is the first book in what I know will be an outstanding series. While the Audreys has the same first name, they are different in just about every other way. Experiences the friendship between them develop is a good lesson for early elementary school level children. My son loved the story and the cute illustrations, and we look forward to reading more in this series. A fairly standard school story. You have a kid looking for a thing that makes her special and comparing herself constantly to a new kid. Still, a decent read with a solid voice.

This is a super cute young reader about making friends. It's got a classic feel to it and readers will love the darling illustrations.
