This magnificent, thought provoking book should win every award, a short film should be produced and we the readers or viewers should focus on what's important because in the end, work won't save us.

Infinite stars, storyline and art.

I dont know how to explain this. I dont even know if it's a book. Not only that, but I think it's an idea, an idea filled in a book that all about a line and a picture and when you read it, you go into deep thoughts. The graphic were surprising funny with a dark edge of humor and conveyed the truth razor sharp. It takes less than 10 mins to read, but the book will probably be in your mind for a longer period of time and resonated with you at times.
just read it, thats all I have got to say.

This was a shocking but fun read in a morbid and bittersweet way. Reminded me of a slightly more heartfelt "All My Friends Are Dead.

I Will Not Die Alone is described as a “Bathroom Book for People Not Pooping or Peeing but Using the Bathroom as an Escape.” This is quite a strange but powerful little book.

Three words to describe this book: Powerful. Strange. Surprising.

Cover: I love the cover with the animals sitting together!

Story: This is what many would think is a self-affirmation book with one sentence and one cute illustration per page with no cohesive story. For example, there is a picture of a goldfish with floaters on its fins, and the affirmation is “I will let go of all disempowering beliefs.” However, the subtle story that ties all these animals together is quite interesting.

Illustrations: The illustrations are colorful and humorous.

Verdict: Recommend. This is a strange little book that is worth reading for its inventiveness.

ARC was provided to me by Macmillan-Tor/Forge, in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a wild time. I did read the description before requesting it but I kind of forgot by the time I actually read it. But it was great (if a little sad). Loved the illustrations and the story itself. It's definitely one of those books I would love to read again. Had a lot of emotion (and humor) to such a small book.

This is a cute quick quirky book that was an easy read. I loved the drawings and progression of different animal-characters. I had previously not known this artist but will have to track them down on social media. If anything I wish this was a little longer!

I found this to be a rather odd collection of strips that seemed rather disjointed until the last few pages. I don't want to spoil anything but there is a clever and subtle ongoing narrative through the book that only reveals itself at the end. Each strip contains a mantra or aphorism about resilience and personal growth. The illustrations are neat enough and lend comedic contrast to the words on the page. I was going to leave this a negative review until the last few strips changed my perception of what the entire thing was about.

If you have the patience this rewarding collection of strips.

I loved the artwork in this book! The characters were all imaginative and fun and the images always went really well with the words. It was really short, which in this case ended up being a downside for me. I liked the artwork a lot but wasn't very invested in the actual book. I ended up skimming a lot of the words and just looking at the artwork, to be honest, because the words got too repetitive for my taste. Ultimately not my favorite book but it has a good message with fun artwork, so no major complaints from me!

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

I Will Not Die Alone is a touching and yet funny at times book about a group of animals told in illustrations and short but simple sayings. The animals are facing the earth being destroyed by a meteor. They realise how short and precious life is to them and decide to live the last days of it to the fullest. The animals bond with each other, communicate better and realise what matters and what doesn't.
This book gives such an important message to the reader - don't waste what short time you have on earth, live each day to its fullest and helps you see from a new perspective what matters and what doesn't, what's inlmportant and what's not. I loved how all the animals were not alone anymore at the end of the book.

I would like to thank Dera White and Netgalley for providing an advanced reader copy in exchange of an honest review. I Will Not Die Alone is a self-help book in the form of a graphic novel that follows the lives of animals. Overall, it was unique. The affirmations were unique and styled in a way that could fit everyone but were also in a way specific to situations. I Will Not Die Alone is described as funny and dark. However, it didn’t seem dark nor funny. What I Will Not Die Alone was is a good pick me upper. The beautiful illustrations and the quick format. I can see how it would work as a pick me upper after a long day for someone. As it is made in a way that is self- help, but it is simple. It without a doubt can help someone when they need to calm down or boost their mood. I Will Not Die Alone is a book that someone would read multiple times to reenforce the affirmation’s and can be a good tool\resource. However, it simply wasn’t what I expected as I was drawn in by the dark and funny bit. But it can be beneficial and an enjoyable read for others.

While ultimately uplifting, holy crap does this book take the darkest road to get there. The smiles, laughs, and knowing nods the start of the short illustrated tale engender don't quite make up for the dark conclusion, in my opinion.

This was not at all what I expected. I expected a story and, even though there is kind of a story going on, it is a graphic novel where you have one illustration and one sentence per page. Hence, it reads fast, really fast, but I guess this is also the kind of graphic novel I would reread every now and then. Some pages were funny, some were sad, some felt neutral.
Overall, I enjoy this book but it is not a favourite. The drawings were nice and cute, always full of colours. The characters are animals and they were quite entertaining and fun.
I recommend this book to adult looking for a short read with dark humour.
3/5

Ziggy, Family Circle, and Snoopy this ain’t. These anthropomorphized wild animals are doing ok. Living their lives one day at a time until the word ends… then things gets physical… metaphysical. Time is short… you gotta make the most of it.

This preview (link here) will give you a good sense of the book and its style. It’s irreverent in places. It’s witty. A little sad… but overall, it’s a book to slow down with and read through a couple times.

4 out of 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Forge Books, and the creators for this advanced copy for review.

While the title may come off as a little bit dark, I Will Not Die Alone is one of those graphic novels that immediately caught my attention. Written by Dera White and illustrated by Joe Bennett, this is a collection of comics revolving around...well...the end of the world.

I Will Not Die Alone is more of a collection of short stories, with some overarching stories mixed throughout. It's an interesting combination, one that helps keep our attention through to the end. Though I feel I should be clear, this is not a children's book despite what the artwork on the cover might have readers thinking!

This is one part a sequential art story and one part a self-help book. It's clearly intended to be inspiring (even the title makes that much clear, I believe), though there were times where I felt more somber than cheered up. Perhaps that was just my take on things, though – we all see the world differently.

umm okay, I just do not get why this book is SO hyped in the blurb. I clearly did not get the point it was trying to make after reading it twice. And if I have to look that deep to get it, I doubt I'll 'feel-good' or find it 'hilarious' and full of 'self-love affirmations.'

The blurb attracted me because I do discover a lot of such cute graphic novels on Netgalley which give me a break from heavier novels. But this book was clearly trying very hard. I was quite shocked to read the reviews on Goodreads and sorta felt dumb because many people felt enlightened after reading it and I didn't feel anything at all. I just kept reading because of the cute illustrations haha :))

Many thanks to NetGalley & Macmillan Tor-Forge for allowing me access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I Will Not Die Alone was a truly pleasant surprise. Although it’s definitely Not what I expected it was going to be, I Love what it actually turned out To Be. This adorably witty & inspirational little graphic novel packs a huge punch for a book of so few words! Each page has a headline of sorts & a very descriptive illustration to accompany it. Upon closer inspection, the little illustrations are actually very intricate, very well thought-out depictions of the passages. I’m impressed. I give this gem a full 5 stars, hands down.

3.5 🌟

This was humorous and dark graphic book.

A fast read with simple art but each page and lines are related and lets you think about what and how would you live life if you would die. I felt inspired before the pages went into a scene where we can see that all characters would probably die here.

Special thanks to NetGalley, Dera White and Macmillan-Tor/Forge for an e-ARC.
