I absolutely love this series by Sherry Thomas - I have listened to all the others on Audio and love the narration there, so moving to book format was a change for me and though I enjoyed it, I think I do prefer to do this via audio!

Thomas does an amazing job with the mystery and kept me on the edge of my seat seeing how this one would wrap up!

Ash and Charlotte are my faves!

Thank you for the early copy for review!

The sixth book in this series is more interesting and deadly than the previous books. Moriarty shows up as does his daughter with a generous amount of sexiness and dread.
The supporting characters are as good as ever with more to do this time. The next book should be a real corker.

Sherry Thomas' Lady Sherlock series is one of my absolute favorites! Miss Moriarty, I Presume was another great installment in the series, and one I eagerly awaited. While it was not quite as strong as some of the ones to come before it (book #3 being the strongest, in my opinion) but it still satisfied. Perhaps the best part was the sexy tension between Holmes and Ash. I don't think the tension has ever been as sparkling as it was in this installment, with each character doing their best to set the other's heart pounding. The Victorian era flirting was ON POINT. There is a scene where Ash does this thing with his..... well I don't want to spoil it for you but it was wonderful seeing Holmes so distracted by lust!

So the relationship development between Ash & Holmes was the best part of this book. The weaker parts were the mystery element, as it was the least well crafted of the series in my opinion. The mystery was a bit confusing but also not that compelling, and the results & conclusion were pretty easy to see coming. The plot and mystery didn't have the same magical alchemy that has been present in the other books, and I found myself bored through some of it. Luckily Thomas' characterization is so excellent that I didn't mind too much because I enjoy spending time with her characters anyway.
This book seems ot have served as something of a jumping off point to a new story arc, as the ending left the characters on quite a different playing field & direction that they'd been previously so I'm excited to see where the series goes next!

I would recommend this title only to those who have read all of the previous entries in the series, and that preferably recently. The enjoyment here is in the development of a romantic subplot that has been building across the previous books and it's as much a pleasure to read as it is clear it's something Thomas revels in writing. But it remains a subplot and thus takes a back seat relatively early. The mystery, as has been the case in some of the prior books as well, is overburdened by a too large cast and multiple cameos by characters from ongoing plots that are neither sufficiently (re)introduced nor developed. I've read each installment eagerly and still was barely able to follow turns taken based on minute details from multiple books back. Nevertheless, on the whole it is always a pleasure to spend time with Charlotte and crew. And the introduction of a new ally bodes well for future installments.

Another wonderful addition to this series, Sherry Thomas is a detailed, oriented writer, who always has a clever plot.

Charlotte Holmes and her friends are back, and under direct threat from Moriarty himself. His daughter, it seems, has gone missing in the clutches of a cult, and he wants Charlotte to investigate (not that there is much choice in the matter). It's a dangerous game, and the book keeps you guessing who is going to come out on top up to the very end. A thoroughly enjoyable read, and I can't wait for the next in the series!

Charlotte and co are back, and this time they find themselves directly in Moriarty’s crosshairs. The series remains fun and interesting. I look forward to further installments.

Thank you to Berkley for sending me this book!

I’ve been fan of this series for year. Holmes is absolutely one of my favorite character. Ash gives me all the feels all day, every day and Mrs Watson is just the best.

This book closed sooo many story line that were started in previous books and I was here for it. I loved how all the important characters, being good or bad ones, were connected in the most unexpected way. The whole book I keep guessing (and even succeeded) on different points of the story and that’s exactly what all of us look for in a mystery novel.

Meeting Moriarty was not what I expected but also exactly what I expected if that makes sense. But I think this is the first time we see Holmes actually “working” for Moriarty which I think is an amazing twist.

I am also soooooo incredibly happy that Holmes and Ash finally get a little bit of happiness. Their scene were my favorite. Every time the “proper” Ash turned into “hot damn it’s hot in hear” Ash, my heart skipped a couple of beats.

Also, i think it should be acknowledged that Holmes’s of Pastries is absolutely the part of her and we should all be more like her. Just eat that cake every time we want a piece and be unapologetic about it.

I really hope we get more books so we can see where the story can take us.

I really enjoyed the newest installment in the Lady Sherlock series. Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group for the review copy.

This series continues to delight and entertain, as Mrs. Watson and Lord Ingram help Charlotte with her latest assignment -- which comes from Moriarty himself. Is it a trap? I'd love to talk about the conclusion, which was very satisfying, but don't want to include spoilers.
