I loved this book and read it pretty much in one sitting. I loved both main characters and all of the supporting characters. The location was fantastic and the addition of Charlotte the sea turtle really added to the story for me.

I really wanted the couple to work out and I’m so glad the ‘angst’ was quite minor.

Really lovely, romantic read

This is my first time reading a Toni Logan book and I will be looking out for the next one.
The Marriage Masquerade is has a great description and I was keen to read the whole book, which doesn't disappoint.

Taylor and Jayden are both great characters, the story is sweet and easy to read, I immediately wanted to be in Maui.

Would I recommend; Yes for that sweet take me away romance

Taylor Braxton, personal trainer, needs to marry (and stay married for 1 year) in order to inherit her grandfather’s B&B on Maui. Jayden Wheaton, recovering from a serious car accident, is looking to find purpose in her life. Both women need something that the other can assist with. Taylor needs a wife ad Jayden needs time away to heal.

An entertaining fauxmance that is sweet and slow with growing attraction. Although the reader realizes that Jayden and Taylor each have a liken for each other early on. Unfortunately, the story gets bogged down with Taylor's back and forth of not dealing with her personal issues. Should I go it alone or lean on someone. The read made me think of the song by the Clash, Should I stay or should I go. This read also made me think about the need and importance of family.

It was a light, easy, and fun read.
Two women that had a purpose for their arrangement but love surprised and changed them.
It was about learning how to confront your past and fears and move on.
A nice summer read to finish in a couple of days

I didn't know this author before, I was immediately attracted by the cover and then the description. The book did not disappoint, I like the author's style, I liked the characters and the story, although at times it felt a bit rush, some parts could have been more developed but overall I very much enjoyed reading this book and will look at other books the author wrote.

The Marriage Masquerade is about a personal trainer, Taylor, who finds out her dead grandfather willed her a B&B in Maui. The catch? She must get married and stay married for a year in order to own it. Taylor ends up entering a marriage of convenience with Jayden, one of her clients with chronic pain and depression following a car accident. As a big F.U. to her deceased homophobic grandfather, they turn the B&B into the "gayest B&B in Maui." Over the course of the year, they begin to develop feelings for each other. Will they be able to say goodbye once the year is up?

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this one. I really enjoyed the setting and the characters separately, but I didn't believe their romance. Throughout the book. I felt like they barely talked to each other. They hung out like 3 times throughout an entire year and then say they love each other? Why? How? I wanted a lot more development between them. That being said, I found other parts of the book compelling, such as Jayden's journey to healing and Taylor's revelations about her family. Overall, though, in a romance novel, I expect the romance to take the forefront, and it just didn't in my opinion (unless it was supposed to be centered on Jayden and Charlotte the sea turtle because they had real chemistry). If you want an easy-breezy summer read without too much development, then give this one a try. (All this being said, I would love to take a trip to this B&B. Sign me up!)

The Marriage Masquerade is about a marriage of convenience. I thought that it's also about healing the mind, body and soul but turns out, nobody really healed much by the end, so I don't really know.

The story goes like this: Jayden is on the road to recovery following an accident to rebuild her body and self-confidence by taking physical training sessions at the gym. She harbours a secret crush on her physical trainer, Taylor, who is a gym goddess on the outside but has her own issues to tackle on the inside. When Taylor's late grandfather wills her a B&B property in Maui on the condition that she must get married and stay married for a year, she hitches a plan to marry a woman as a final F.U. to homophobic grandpa. When Taylor shares her plans to fake-marry and divorce after a year, Jayden eagerly jumps at the opportunity because a year in Maui weather would do her legs some good... and well, it is Taylor we're talking about. After fake-marrying one another, the faux couple move to Maui to run a B&B.

Maui, with the sun and the sand, is one of the most romantic settings. But instead of growing closer, the couple spend months not talking, being awkward and avoiding each other even though they live in the same compound and have feelings for each other. Even PTSD which is clearly a problem for at least one of the characters wasn't dealt with or talked about. And what tickles me is that Jayden seems to spend more time having solid heart to heart conversations with a big sea turtle than with Taylor.

This story started out with a lot of potential. I'm not sure what happened along the way in Maui but I did expect more from Logan.

The Marriage Masquerade is a book based on marrying for convenience. An often used tactic used in writing. It is a nice story based on the island of Maui. What could be more beautiful than moving to a B&B as a condition of a will. Needing to find a spouse and stay married for one year in order obtain the deed is new spin on a often used premise.

The storyline is not necessarily new but it was interesting and very descriptive. The broken characters spend their time getting to know each other and work to heal themselves in the beautiful surroundings.

Jayden Wheaton was still trying to recover from an accident that has left her leg permanently damaged. Her family, such as it is, are basically not part of her life. But she does have her best friend Andy with whom she shares her home with. She’s been going to the local gym working out, trying to strengthen her body. She has just ended a relationship that has left her feeling lower than low and to top it off she lives in Missouri where she gets to enjoy all the cold weather anyone could ask for. She would love to move on but didn’t think she could do it on her own.
Taylor Braxton has had a rough life. Only family she could count on was her mother who passed away way too young. Now the only family she has is her best friend Annie and Annie’s mother. Her grandfather certainly wasn’t any help even though he must have known about the financial situation her and her mom were in. So she worked at the gym as a trainer.
Now it seems her grandfather decided to make her his heir. Heir to what she didn’t know. As far as she was concerned he was as poor as she was. But no, he has left her some investments that he never spoke of. Along with a B & B that just happened to be in Maui. But, there was always a but in order to inherit she has to be married. She doesn’t have anyone she can ask to marry her with the understanding that after a year she would divorce. When Jayden hears her story, and wanting to go somewhere that was actually warm, she agrees to marry Taylor for one year. A year in paradise, soaking up the warm weather would be well worth a divorce.
Nice story that I really enjoyed.

A very cute story. I enjoyed the book. The characters were likeable and fully developed. It was a joy when Taylor decided to turn the B&B into the gayest one ever. Jayden's journey over coming her doubts about her image and giving up her pain meds had me cheering for her. Charlette the turtle was one of my favorite. I recommend 4 stars

The book was good. A different kind of story with great scenery and well developed characters. I only wished that they didn’t take the whole dang book to figure out that they loved each other. That was annoying.

I really enjoy books where a woman has to find a date or a girlfriend to impress others or to show them that she has a committed significant other. I am not sure why I find this of interest, but I always go for these types of books. This book did not disappoint. The book focuses on Taylor and Jayden. Taylor is a personal trainer and Jayden is one of her clients. Jayden was in a bad accident and is trying to get back in shape so the every day pain is lessened. Taylor learns that her grandfather has passed and her left her everything. She is surprised since her grandfather had very little to do with her when she was growing up. Neverless, she goes to the lawyer to hear the reading of the will. He left her his condo and his bed and breakfast in Hawaii. There is one catch, She will receive the deed to the bed and breakfast only after she has been married for a year. She asks the lawyer if the marriage has to be with a man. The lawyer states that since gay marriage is now legal, it can be with a woman. She is relieved but she has no girlfriend or anyone she can ask. She tells this to Jayden one day during her session and Jayden blurts out that she will get married to her. Jayden figures the warmth of Hawaii will be a haven for her and a free place to stay for a year. Taylor agrees and off to the courthouse they go.
Jayden loves Hawaii and forms a close relationship with a sea turtle that comes to visit her every day. Taylor is very busy with the renovation of the bed and breakfast. She vows to make it the gayest bed and bedfast in Hawaii. The two women do not share a bedroom. Rather Jayden is in the guest cottage and Taylor is in the main house. This does little to stop the attraction the two feel towards each other.
Will they make it to a year and if so, what will happen when that year is up?
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend.

Ms. Logan has done it again. This time by including persons struggling with pain and pain relief pills, not your typical body shapes. Thank you. Not every heroine is svelte or has blue eyes and blond hair.

This was a joy to read. There's almost always a loophole. You won't regret this one sitting read at all. It draws you in and keeps you entertained.

Taylor is a personal trainer who works at a gym in Missouri. One day she gets summoned to a lawyer’s office and is informed that she is the sole inheritor of her grandfather’s estate which includes money, stocks, and a bed and breakfast in Maui. All she had to do is get married and remain married for one year to get the deed to the B&B.

Taylor mentions this to one of her gym clients, Jayden, who was in a car accident a few years prior and has used the gym and Taylor’s personal training as part of her rehabilitation. Jayden doesn’t work and would love to go somewhere warm to help her leg pain, so she volunteers to marry Taylor,

I really liked this book, the remodeling of the B&B to the gayest B&B in Maui, and obviously the setting of the majority of the book in Maui. The main thing that I would have hoped for is more personal moments between Taylor and Jayden. 4 stars

This was a cute story. I loved that there wasn't much drama, but there's a bit of angst throughout this story. Jaydon was dealing with chronic pain in her leg from a horrible car accident and Taylor lost her mom to cancer a few years earlier. These two women meet at the gym, Taylor is a personal trainer and Jaydon signs up for her program so she can loose weight and gain strength in her leg. The romance between these two starts when Taylor inherits a B&B from her grandfather in Hawaii and they both go there to begin their adventure. I really liked this book and the characters made this story enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family and I can't wait to see what this author writes next.

Super-cute, fake marriage romance. Fantastic beach reading. Set in beautiful Maui. Very well-plotted; if you've read any fake-relationship books, you know how it is supposed to end, but I was still captivated, rooting for the pair the whole way.

When Taylor's homophobic jerk of a grandfather dies, he leaves her everything - including a beach house in Maui she had no idea he owned. There is only one stipulation - Taylor must be married for a year in order to obtain the title to the property. Her personal-training client, Jayden, offers to be the temporary wife. The deal is simple, they get married, move to Maui, make the house into Maui's gayest B&B, and divorce one day after the 1-year mark. But simple plans are not nearly so simple, and feels start to take them both. But a deal is a deal, and Taylor has serious trauma that makes her disbelieve any chance of happiness with another. Can a year in paradise change the script?!

With a plot revolving around a marriage of convenience between personal trainer Taylor and her client Jayden I expected more than I got. It's not a bad written book, not at all with a beautiful setting in Maui and I loved Charlotte the big sea turtle. The writing style is nice which led to an enjoyable read overall but when I pick up a romance and I feel like I'm getting more insight in the friendship between Jayden and her best friend instead of being swept away by the blossoming romance between the main characters it's not working out.
The idea is a nice one, yet I think the writer should have invested more in dialogue between Taylor and Jayden and give them more moments together. Both have issues they need to deal with and while I'm told they have feelings for eachother I never see it except for some really small moments. And then the sudden rush at the ending left me with my head spinning. In my opinion a book with a lot of romantic potential if the focus would have been a little bit more on the main characters together, now I read a nice enough book about renovating a B&B on Maui and finding family in a place it was least expected.

A sapphic marriage of convenience story set in a tropical paradise. If this is your trope candy, you’ll love this book. For me, there was not enough substance behind the premise.

While the idea was cute and the setting was beautiful, with Charlotte the giant sea turtle easily the best part of the story, this book disappointed me in several respects. I thought that a personal trainer and client romance could be really lovely and present a number of opportunities for relationship building, but that never materialized. The characters didn’t feel “real” to me, and neither did I believe in their deepening affection for one another. Ultimately, it’s a cute story, but it left no impact on me.

Taylor is surprise when her estranged grandfather leaves her a B&B in Maui more shocking is she won’t get full control of it until she married and got the one year anniversary mark.

Jayden was in a serious accident that left her with pain she trying to work through. Taylor is Jayden physical trainer when she hears Taylor dilemma she offer to marry her and divorce later on. Jayden thinks it’s a win win Taylor gets her inheritance and she gets to relax figure out her life and let her body heal.

Taylor and Jayden didn’t expect a attraction between them well they secretly like each other beforehand but they kept it so close to the vest I didn’t think they will ever admit it or act on it. Although the romance was just a small part I like that the cute sea turtle helped Jayden mentally and physically. I enjoy the serene of Maui.

This was a quick and enjoyable romance. I like fake marriage tropes and a story featuring a tropical escape to Maui sounded like the perfect summer beach read.

Taylor had a difficult relationship with her late grandfather and is shocked to discover he has willed her his property in Hawaii. The will stipulates she will get the deed when she has been married for one year. Jayden, recovering from a bad relationship and a bad accident, agrees to marry her physical trainer Taylor with no strings attached, hoping some time in a tropical paradise will speed up her healing process. There is attraction from the start but the twelve month countdown begins the moment they step off the plane and into their temporary life together. Neither woman is eager to take a chance at love.

I liked the setting and the potential for some exorcising of memories when it was clear the B&B Taylor inherited needed some renovations. I was hoping both Jayden and Taylor would bond with the work but Jayden remained aloof and on her own letting Taylor and hired help Sam do most of the reno work. Both women kept their troubles and their interest in each other so well hidden it was frustrating waiting for one to admit their attraction to the other. Their romantic time together felt short thanks to some serious lack of communication issues. Maui and an unforgettable sea turtle named Charlotte did work their magic on Jayden’s mental and physical well being which was a highlight for this reader. Taylor’s story helped explain her actions but I didn’t see a lot of growth in her character.

I chose to read this book looking for a light and pleasant summer read and felt rewarded for my decision. The author could have gone deeper into her characters and the choices they made but I still enjoyed this brief escape to the beach.
