A vibrantly illustrated introduction to intersectional feminism for next-generation changemakers, this book is a must-read guide for young people seeking to understand the world around them.

i really learnt a lot of things about feminism and understand why that behaviour affects to her. a woman. Women got the same rights they are equal as us (men). This book show what feminist live and confront the world and the rest of the people who are on the contrary apart from feminist ladies.

I loved this book, and my students are practically fighting over who can get their hands on it first. The book is filled with inspirational people to focus on, statistics and facts which are brilliant for introducing when doing non-fiction pieces of work as an English teacher. The illustrations help keep the pace of the book and overall it highlights where out history meets our present, and why we need to be still talking about the topic for those who think Feminism is a redundant or extreme piece of terminology.

The book was short and to the point, but I think it should be more detailed. Cause it is for kids and they've so many questions regarding any topic. Also I loved the illustration.

First of all, I loved the illustrations and bright colors. I thought they were so cute, but mostly, I loved that this book was really informative and I loved the inclusion and representation of non binary people in feminism. I think it would be a good introduction for kids into the world of feminism and what it all means. But even for a more experienced feminist, I think they would still enjoy it.

This is an excellent introduction to feminism for readers of all ages! I'm so excited to get a hard copy of This Book is Feminist to add to my classroom library and incorporate into class discussions. I was especially glad to see that trans women were represented from the very beginning of the book, because they are too often left out of these conversations.

This is a fantastic read! This book broke down big and difficult ideas into simple and accessible language. I look forward to bringing this book into my classroom, as I think all educators should. This is a book that kids will never forget, and neither will I.

This Book is Feminist is a nice follow up to This Book is Antiracist. The personal anecdotes shared by author Jamis Wilson illustrate real-life examples of what and how it is to be intersectional.

Ideally, every middle school/junior high would use these two titles as introductory humanism, allowing youth to recognize themselves, or their privilege, in the Venn diagram of race, education, living wage, affordable housing, ableism, sexual preference, gender, class, and other identities. We need equitable representation as well as full participation in society, or as Fannie Lou Hamer is quoted within, Nobody's free until everybody's free."

Thank you so much for giving me an arc of this. This book was very educational and inspiring considering I am a part of the older side of the generation z or genz. This tackled what it means to be a feminist, common misconception, inspirational women, and other more educational topics. It also talked about how if you're a feminist it should only be intersectional and how damaging one-sided feminism is very harmful. I absolutely adore this book; the way it was written and illustrated was just magnificent. I'm very excited for this to come out and to recommend to my friends and family.

I can’t open the file but this looks very interesting! I love the cover and the fact it doesn’t focus on white feminism is always good! (I gave it 5 stars because of this)

What feminism means to you?

The book covers not only feminism, there are a lot covered like wellness, health, Identity. relationship, money. Feminism and its definition differ from person to person and generation to generation so don't rely on the definition in the dictionary. Some want equity, equality, the right to education, freedom.

We all are mould based on what society and people around us teach us. But very few believe their instincts to do what they feel is right to them as well as the society.

I wish to see a world that is anti biased and anti-racist. There is a lot of influence on us because of the media we see where they show a girl who is lean and white with curves as a perfect being which really makes us feel bad about ourselves. We should have an exercise and routine to be healthy and don't want to be so thin to look beautiful. Be yourself and love yourself and follow your instincts.

The book is so inspiring and shares a lot of influential thoughts. Thanks to the author of such a feministic book with simple and lucid writing to inspire other through your words.

This book covers a wide range of topics that are important for young-ish readers to have exposure to. I think it is well-suited for middle school to high school ages. I love the personal narrative that gives readers personal experiences along with facts and statistics as if one is talking with a friend or mentor. The "call to action" sections are full of thought-provoking questions that readers are encouraged to write down and answer. I think this is a wonderful book and will definitely be giving this to my daughter at the appropriate age.

Thanks to the publisher for providing an eARC of This Book is Feminist in exchange for an honest review.

Whoever wrote This Book is Feminist's description did an excellent job because I don't think I've ever read anything else that lined up as closely with my expectations as this one. You get exactly what it tells you and it does a good job in it's presentation of information. The only reason I'm not giving it a higher rating is because at 160 pages, there's only really so much you get the chance to present but if you know this book's short going in, I'm sure you'll find it useful.
