A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a new series. OK this is fiction-but no hint of reality about royalty. I am pretty sure that the Prince would never be allowed to be in CA without a body guard especially since the family had already lost one son. Regardless of the improbability, it is still a quick, fun read. I really liked Summer and her dedication to family and her strength of character. Although it is not realistic-it reminds of what we do want in romance, family, support, and love. 3.5 stars

Well - I have to say that the title of this one makes it easy. This book does exactly what it says on the box haha!

Nic and Summer meet and have a fling while working at a hospital in the US. Nic leaves mysteriously, and Summer is heartbroken. After he leaves, she finds out she is pregnant and decides to have the baby. Later she meets Nic again, only to discover he’s a Crown Prince and her son is a royal heir.

Things I liked:
- I enjoyed the emphasis on the importance of family and prioritising your loved ones
- Summer knows what she wants, and I loved how she stood up for herself to the Prince (and the royal family) - you go, fearless girl!
- Whenever this book explored deeper emotional matters - loss of a loved one, grief etc.

Things I didn’t like:
- I wanted to see more of Nic & Summer’s earlier interactions that established their chemistry/connection
- Nic’s internal monologues were a bit repetitive - he faced the same issue over and over and it felt like he was hitting his head against a wall
- It all was so fast! I think this book could have been a little longer
- I struggled to suspend reality at times - this was necessary to get into some of the more farfetched elements of the story

In short: a thoroughly enjoyable, easy to read romance. I would have liked more chemistry/banter between the leads to build up the romantic tension.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to review.

Time is a very rare commodity for Nic. He is a surgeon plus he is a Crown Prince. He just about has those two figured out when he finds out he's also a father. His parents, the King and Queen, are awesome. They have their priorities set in a good place and try to share this with Nic.
Summer is a very strong women who insist that she doesn't need help. Of course she'd love to have something work out between them. It just doesn't look like it's meant to be. A happy ending for all in this great romance novel.

Summer and Nic at an internship two years prior and immediately hit it off only for Nic to then disappear into thin air.

It was a sweet predictable book. Unfortunately it wasn’t for me. Things happened too fast and the pace was not ideal.

4.5/5 stars!

The heroine and hero were colleagues during their medical residency. After a successful operation, the two began their romantic relationship. Though short, it ended when familial responsibilities called for the hero. Years later, the two reconnected and the hero found out about his son. The hero suggested to the heroine to take a chance with him. How will it work as the two have other issues to overcome?

I thoroughly enjoyed this Leslie North book. I liked the flawed main characters, even though there were some huge internal obstacles that the couple faced. The secondary characters were also supportive and critical in moving the story along. And there was no huge drama to overcome in this story. Overall, I recommend this Leslie North novel and look forward to reading more works from the author.

Super quick read about devoted doctors who fall in love. Nic is called home and as a result, he was separated from Summer. When Summer finds herself pregnant she tries to find Nic only to discover he lied about his name. Two years later, Summer runs into Nic again in a hospital overseas in her new program. Summer is shocked to find out Nic is the Prince and head of pediatrics. Nic is equally shocked to find out he has a son, Harry. Will Summer open her heart again? Will Nic have time for a family. Being a prince and a doctor?

Enjoyed this story!

I enjoy Leslie North's novels. They are quick and easy reads that always hit the spot for any romantic novel cravings. This is the 4th Leslie North novel that I have read, and they do all seem to follow the same pattern. Guy and girl meet, they end up with an unexpected pregnancy, they go through a hard challenge, and then they end up together at the end. Every novel is super similar, but it's nice to have a quick, predictable novel that you can kind of just lose yourself in as you uncharge for the day.

This was a quick, sweet read about a second chance romance and surprise pregnancy. I thought Nic was really sweet and loved how strong Summer was. Of course, little Harry story the show! I’m glad Summer and Nic worked everything out and got their HEA.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

A very light, very sweet fairy tale of a romance! Both characters have losses in their pasts that shape the choices they make, but both are also fundamentally kind people with loving and supportive friends and family willing to help them on their way. The king and queen were especially cute and heartwarming.

This goes down so easy--I finished it in one rainy afternoon. The writing is solid, clear, and respects the reader's intelligence even while telling a confection of a story. Appreciate it for what it is and enjoy a very pleasant diversion!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
