Wow! What an amazing story Kelly wrote here! 5 big witch stars for this one!

Growing up for Romy, it was just her and her mom. Now that her mom is gone, she feels alone aside from her two besties, but she yearns for family so she takes one of those gene tests to see if she can locate her dad. When she gets a hit, she's nervous about possibly finding her dad through this connection. One night while out at a bar, she meets Trace, and wow does she like him! Trace has his own baggage and secrets he's carrying, but he really likes Romy.

I really don't want to give too much away in my review, but trust me, you will love this book, I'm hoping it can turn into a series because I could never get enough of these two characters and their surrounding group! Grab it asap!

Big Witch Energy by Kelly Jamieson is a paranormal romance.

Romy Larson was an ordinary girl who worked as a software designer at Summit Insurance. She had grown up with her mother and was always wondering who her father was. After her mother's death, she decided to look for him. She took a DNA test and found a whole new family. She was overwhelmed by this and went out to drink. There she met Trace Holcomb, they were instantly drawn together and had a fun night.
A few days later they met again at the Candler house where the big revelation happened. Learning about her witchy heritage shook her a lot but Trace was there to help her. The more time they spent while he was tutoring her the more the attraction was growing. Trace's track record with women was horrendous and he didn't want to cause problems in his family by dating her but he also couldn't stay away from
her. Could two people with unsolving issues create a beautiful bond?

It's such a cute story. It's mostly amusing with the romance, the funny accidents, and the witch tutoring. There's also a lot of heat with those explicit scenes. Apart from that, there are many parts that are real-life issues that I am not going to mention since I don't want to spoil anything. The characters were wonderful and so bizarre. My favorite was Felise, she was such a bubbly person. I liked that the story is a slow burn and doesn't entirely focuses on the romantic aspect but shows their whole lives and their issues as well.

All in all, it's a great book that will keep you entertained for a few hours. I enjoyed it a lot and I will rate it with 4 stars.

Big Witch Energy is a charming, rom-com, with just the right amount of cheese. Even though the plot was a bit predictable, I zipped through these pages and was engaged throughout. Sometimes, we all need a light read to change things up, and this served it's purpose nicely.

I love when authors take something supernatural and fit it into our current world. Jamieson does a solid job of making it feel like this type of witchy goodness is possible. I found myself thinking about what it would mean if the main character was someone I knew... how would I react? The thoughts provoked from this story were fun ones.

I did enjoy our main characters, Trace and Romy. One of my favorite interactions was when they first met... that really set the tone for me.

I will say some of the pacing was a bit quick. I barely had a handle on a character or stance on an issue before there was a hard change in direction. I would've liked to see a little more development, especially in the beginning.

I enjoyed this book.

I'm usually quite nice in my reviews but I have zero cares to give after finishing this and am left with no motivation to give this a full review. The synopsis sounded like I was in for a fun romantic comedy with a witchy twist. However, this was so boring and unbelievably cheesy. Not the cute cheesy but the trying too hard to be funny kind of cheesy. The characters and story were forgettable in my opinion. Don't even get me started on the intimate scenes, ugh which read like a bad porn script and by the final one I was skimming it because I just didn't care.

Big Witch Energy by Kelly Jamieson, published by Victoria Editing, is a stand-alone pnr-ish romance comedy. A storyline that throw me right in, there was no easiing in. A well written slow burn, low on drama with just the right pace for Trace and Romy's unique story.
A DNA test brings Romy Larson to a brand new family. A father, step-mom and half-sisters that are just a bit more. All of them are witches and that's a lot to swallow for Romy.
And then there's Trace Holcomb. He grew upin the witch community, but has his own agenda. He despearatedly wants his old family back.
And here we are. Yes there are issues for both main characters, but the main tenor in this book is simply to entertain - and highly entertaining is what Big Witch Energy is. With hilarious -potato decree - well written story and characters easy to connect with it's a beautiful flirty and witty summer read.
