A Christmas Wedding In The Cotswolds by Lucy Coleman.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #BoldwoodBooks for an ARC of #AChristmasWeddingInTheCotswolds by #LucyColeman.

This book follows on from Christmas At Lockkerper’s Cottage. Although you can read A Christmas Wedding as a stand alone book, it is best enjoyed when read in order.

Following their engagment last christmas, Immi and Gray are planning their wedding. Or at least they are trying to plan their wedding, but the pressures and reaponsibilities of their everyday lives, their jobs, renovating their forever home and their charitable work, all seem to push their dream wedding further away.

Although this is a ‘Christmas’ book, it does start in the summer and works it’s way through autumn until we get to winter and all the Christmas festivities.

This is another charming tale from Lucy Coleman. With the book set in the beautiful Cotswolds, it has a cosy feel from the start. The likeable cast of characters all blend together into a very special story.

This delightful book deserves a place on everyones christmas reading list this year.
Five warm and cosy stars from me.

With characters we first met in Christmas at Lock Keeper's Cottage, this is a lovely heartwarming story of community, friendship, love and secrets. Planning her wedding keeps getting further down Immi's to-do list. She needs help but doesn't like to ask. Events conspire until compromises and accepting she can't do everything alone is inevitable. This story reads well as a standalone as salient details of their lives so far are integrated into this story.

The characters are believably flawed, and the sense of community is uplifting. The conflicts Immi faces are relatable, and this is a journey of self-belief and self-discovery for her. The sense of place and season is vividly described.

A lovely rural story with engaging characters and a picture postcard setting.

There is nothing better than a book about Christmas and wedding combined!
I have not read any other books by Lucy Coleman but after reading this beautiful story I know I am going to be reading a lot more of her books.
The descriptions of everything from the location to the people make the story fit so well together.
I would love to be a character in this book it was such a fun read!

Four and a half Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭒

A Christmas Wedding in the Cotswolds by Lucy Coleman is a delightful look at small-town life with lively characters and a lovely story. It’s not a series book, however, A Christmas Wedding in the Cotswolds would be better if read after Christmas at Lock Keeper's Cottage, as it’s a continuation of that story.

A Christmas Wedding in the Cotswolds has Immi and Grey working on getting married at Christmastime. They’ve been engaged for a year after Grey’s proposal in a snowstorm last Christmas. But, Christmas is a busy time for Immi, as she also helps with her Grandfathers, Santa Ahoy Cruises, she’s fundraising and project managing the new playground for the village as well as renovating their new home, the Lock Keepers Cottage. Plus she’s dealing with her fiance’s work schedule. He has to work in London, and she only gets to see him on weekends, for now.

This is a sweet, charming tale set in a gorgeous location in the Cotswold. I loved the descriptions of the canals and the longboats and the longboat tours. I also enjoyed the sense of community and how everyone helps everyone else out and they all work together to make the community stronger.

Although a Christmas story, the book starts out in the heat of summer and progresses through fall to Christmas. I like that it’s a holiday story, but we’re not hit over the head with Christmas, but instead, just get a general feel for the holiday at the end of the book that was very satisfying. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet holiday story set in a delightful small village. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I absolutely loved this festive read where we get to revisit the lovely Immi & Tollie and enjoy another festive countdown as they prepare for the Santa Ahoy trips to raise more money to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the trips.

A perfect story to help me start to feel festive and count the weekends until Christmas. Full of family love, loyalty and wonderful friendships, I loved getting to spend more time with the kind hearted Immi as she prepares to marry Gray and continue converting Lock Keepers Cottage.

I have loved both books set in this gorgeous setting and really hope we get to revisit next Christmas to see how the first year of married life is treating them

Another wonderful instalment from Lucy Coleman. Much anticipated and definitely did not disappoint. Lovely story encompassing romance, a wedding, the cotswolds and Christmas - perfect!

Was so good to be back in Aysbury alongside Immi, Gray, Tollie, Fisher, Val and everyone else.

It certainly can be read as a standalone though as there is plenty of references to the previous book to catch up on/

Immi has a lot on her plate during this story, and it is hard for her to delegate and even harder for her to admit she needs help with the wedding as she certainly isn't the typical bride.

Taking place over the space of a year, I loved this latest book from Lucy Coleman,

With the various fundraising efforts, and so many different storylines, this was a lovely story to read.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This book is a follow on from last Christmas book. Christmas at Lock Keepers Cottage. I loved that book & this is just as good. I enjoy Lucy Coleman's characters, believeable & likeable. So much is happening in this book with Immi Tolliman getting married to Gray Adams. The prologue helped to set the scene & the story flowed well. I do enjoy Lucy Colemans books & recommend this one too.

Another feel good novel in this series, perfectly constructed to have a glorious finale at Christmas. However, do not dismiss this book as a festive story, only to be read in December. I’m sat in glorious Portugal and have bathed in the descriptions of Summer days, heard the Autumn leaves fall and snuggled before the roaring fire. A lovely story with characters you warm to, family and friendship dilemmas that you can relate to, and romance for different generations.

A lovely book and so great to be back with Immi and Grey in the Lock Keepers Cottage. This can be read as a stand alone as the important parts of the back story are included briefly, however if you’ve read the previous book I think you get a lot more enjoyment out of it ( if you’re like me and love to see characters again and see what they’ve been up to).

There were a lot of issues raised in this book that can be easily identifiable with a lot of people. Stress and anxiety, friendship and love, family dynamics and home improvements. I loved seeing Immi growing and learning to delegate and have less stress, but also learning to love herself. I especially liked how Grey, Tollie, and Val all knew what she would really like for her wedding and Christmas even when she wasn’t sure. The love between them all was beautiful and you could see it strengthening as the story progressed. Some lovely descriptions of the scenery and location which made me feel I was there. Another lovely festive read.

Shame I didn't realise this book was part of a series, I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous book Christmas at the Lockkeepers Cottage.
Nonetheless this is a nice, festive and enjoyable read, with pleasurable characters and a lovely storyline.
I'll go back to the previous book for more of it.

Imogen Tolliman was raised by her grandfather and is happily preparing for a seasonal wedding to her fiance

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Imogen and Gray, after getting engaged last year, now are eager to get married. They’re are planning their wedding, but due to Gray’s work, they have to put it back six months, whereas they were getting married in the summer, now it’ll be a Christmas wedding.

Currently living in Immi’s grandfathers cottage at the Aysbury marina in the Cotswolds, the cottage is also having a makeover as they want to make it a place where they’ll live forever.
This isn’t easy, as they both work, and as well planning the wedding, immie is also the person whose responsible for raising money. The community members and her grandfather would like to build a children’s playground, this would be built to celebrate the tenth anniversary of The Santa Ahoy Cruises.

As Gray is abroad with work, it seems that Immie has to deal with everything on her own. Soon, they realise that someone who they though was trustworthy had betrayed them and put their plans in jeopardy, leaving the community wondering whether the they’ll be able to recover what they’ve lost and, for Immie, she’s thinking if the wedding will now go ahead as planed……

I would read the previous book Christmas at Lock-Keepers Cottage, in order to learn about the characters.

A slow moving and gentle read. It would have been very helpful to read the previous book featuring many of the same characters. Immi and Gray are planning their wedding at the same time Immi is spearheading a major fundraising campaign and Gray is focusing on some interesting new work projects. With a lot of help of their wonderful community, both manage to work through the problems that threaten to spoil their Christmas wedding.

I have read and enjoyed other Lucy Coleman books including Christmas at the Lockkeepers Cottage but I found this book did not hold my attention. There were lots to enjoy, the wedding, the Santa Specials and the characters but too much time was spent on trivial bits like the renovation of the cottage that I glossed over. I look forward to reading other books by Lucy as I really enjoyed The Villa of Dreams, I love her writing style but not this time.

Imogen can't wait to marry Gray but has a busy life and hasn't got round to planning the wedding or even know what she wants so asks her mum and Gray's mum to be the wedding planners and point her in the right direction
A lovely story even though it was strange reading a Christmas story in July

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Not sure why I really enjoyed a book about Christmas when it is the summer but I really did, this book made me smile with the storyline and the characters.

A wonderful festive tale from Lucy Coleman, catching up with Immi and Gray from the Lock-keepers Cottage, as the plan a Christmas wedding and a huge charity fundraiser to celebrate ten years of the Santa cruises. Fun and full of ups and downs as the lovely cast of characters get ready for Christmas. Recommended reading to get you in the Christmas mood!
