First of all I want to say what a beautiful cover this book has that perfectly matches the atmosphere of the book. Once again Lucy Coleman delivers a book with a strong sense of community and characters you can root for. Perfect read for winter.

Lucy Coleman’s characters are delicious…well defined and placed in situations and conversations that keep readers in continuing to read. While this is not the kind of books that I usually read, this was very nice. The plot was interesting, with a few interesting twists.
I liked the sense of community, how everyone helps each other. It almost sounds unrealistic at some points, but it feels good to read.

I was just a bit disappointed by the idea of seeing a child with a chronic illness as an "inspiration" and a lesson to celebrate "good days". Being seen as some kind of life lesson isn't something that I'm comfortable with.

Gosh I loved this book. As I read it I realised I had read the first one Christmas at the Lock keepers cottage. But you don’t need to have and the twist in the first one was very cleverly done in this book. I doubted my own memory which is brilliant. Immi is a strong character and she learnt it is ok to ask for help. You are not a failure if you do. You don’t realise how important it is to have a male or female role model in your life as a child. Her fiancé was so lovely..Just read it . Ace
