Tis the season—for everyone except Emmy Garrett, a book keeper who's on the run after witnessing a crime. But when it becomes clear that trouble will continue following her, the US Marshal in charge takes her somewhere no one will think to look–Montana. Not only is Emmy in a new place for her protection, but now, she’s stuck with a handsome cowboy as her bodyguard. Dwight Reynolds left behind his old career, but it’s still in his blood. When an old friend calls in a favour, Dwight opens his home to a woman on the run. He tries to keep his distance, but there’s something about Emmy he can’t resist. When danger shows up looking for Emmy, Dwight risks everything to keep her safe.
This was such an enjoyable read that I read it in a sitting plus it was set in my ideal romantic location - a snowy cabin. I loved the chemistry between Dwight & Emmy & how their relationship developed add in some suspense & mystery & I was glued to my kindle until well in to the night. A well written engrossing read
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Emmy has had one too many close calls in witSec and Dalton, the Marshall looking after her, is taking no chances. He takes her way off-grid and leaves her with his very capable friend, Dwight.

Dwight has all the right credentials - former military, former FBI agent and now off-the-grid rancher in the middle of Montana! She should be safe as houses and well away from the mob boss she's hiding from. Right?

There was just the right balance between suspense, romance and tension and the plot was well paced. This was a slow-to-build romance that once it took flight never returned to the ground. The main characters are very relatable and are flawed. I really enjoyed the way the author handled their PTSD issues.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and have left this review of my own volition.

I find it can be difficult to do romantic suspense well. Both elements have to be well balanced and you have to believe in the danger and the connection the characters forge. I thought it was nicely done here.

Emmy and Dwight have lots of chemistry as he takes her in as she's hiding while waiting to testify against someone. It was interesting seeing them fall for each other as he tries to keep her safe.

I've read a few books from Donna Grant now and this is one of my favorites. The story moves at a good pace and the relationship development didn't feel forced.

If you are looking for a romantic suspense this is a great book to pick up!

This is a sweet holiday read with just a litte spice and a dash of intrigue.
Emmy and Dwight are a great pair and it was a pleasure to get to know them and see their interactions. Ms Grant created an environment that allowed these two to bond and develop a friendship (and more) that neither expected.
Home for a Cowboy Christmas is a fast paced read that I didn't want to put down until we knew what was going to happen next!
2 things kept this from being a full four star read for me.
1) The big conflict scene - while I know this is fiction, but this was just far enough outside the realm of realastic that I struggled with it.
2) This book isn't really as long as it looks! There is a short story at the end, so as I was reading I could tell that we were approaching a key point in the story, but my kindle was telling me I was at 60% of the book. It was a bit confusion until I reached the end oand discovered the short story. It was a bit disappointing as I wanted more of Emmy and Dwight!

Home for a Cowboy Christmas by Donna Grant is a terrific book for the holiday season. This had such variety with drama, romance, danger, and mystery all wrapped up in one story. The plot was good, the characters were well developed, the flow was perfect, and was so well written. This is Emmy and Dwight’s story. Emmy witnessed a crime and is put in witness protection. She is staying at Dwight’s farm. These two fall in love and get their Happily-Ever-After. I recommend this story and author.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks go to the publisher and Net-Galley for the complimentary digital copy of Home for a Cowboy Christmas by Donna Grant. I voluntarily agreed to read and review this book prior to publication. My opinions are my own, and nothing has influenced my rating.

Home for a Cowboy Christmas is another emotionally charged romance with compelling characters and an intriguing plot. There’s even a nice amount of suspense. The pacing pulled me in from the start to the finish.

Emmy Garrett is our heroine, and she’s gone through a terrible ordeal. She’s running for her life, and when the US Marshall takes her to the hero for protection; she’s grateful for his succor. Her fear practically jumps off the page.

Dwight Reynolds is the hero, and he has many of the characteristics I most admire in a male protagonist. He doesn’t hesitate to take Emmy in, although it could likely put him in jeopardy, along with his employees, if the villain finds her.

The romance develops fast but, when a male and female spend every waking moment together and the attraction between them crackles with plenty of fire, it’s not surprising. I could easily see them falling in love and having it last.

If you enjoy romantic suspense with engaging characters and a plot that pulls you in, then you will love Home for a Cowboy Christmas as much as I did. I always know I’m in for a sensual journey and plenty of high emotion. Happy reading!

Emmy is very brave as she boldly decides to testify against a mob boss but this puts her life in danger. Needing a place to hide her, Dalton takes her to his friend Dwight in Montana. Dwight loves working the ranch but carries an intensity from his years in the military. Being thrown together in this intense situation definitely causes sparks to fly. I love that even through Emmy’s fear, she doesn’t want to be idle and insists on helping in whatever way she can on the ranch. I also enjoyed the slow burn to their relationship as the weeks went by, they built a trust together which both needed. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This romantic suspense with a forced isolation aspect to it was really good and then the Christmas aspect added a little more to it. The story pairs a woman in the witness protection program with a handsome rancher who was former military and some alphabet agencies. His whole goal is to keep her safe until it's time for her to testify in the trial of a murderer. He isn't expecting to fall for her.

As danger comes for Emmy, she is depending on Dwight and his workers to keep it at bay. She knows she might not live till the trial, so she decides she needs to live a little now...with Dwight. The question is will the danger keep them from having more?

I was gifted a copy of this book through St. Martin's Press and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense by Ms. Grant. This was not your typical “cowboy” romance, but was so much more! Romance, danger, suspense and three amazing characters (yes, I need to include Dalton as I don’t know if he has his own story, but I hope so). Emmy Garrett is on the run from a mob boss who wants her killed. As his accountant, she saw something that she shouldn’t have and reporting this to the D.A. has put her on his “hit list”. Trying to stay safe has been almost impossible as the killer seems to know which “safe” house she has been assigned. As a last resort, US Marshal Dalton Silva takes her to the ranch of his friend, Dwight Reynolds. Dwight is former military, FBI & Homeland Security and has the skills needed to keep her safe. He is used to living alone, but she brings light into his solitary life. She is falling in love with him and knowing her time may be limited, she wants to experience the love he has to give. A thoroughly enjoyable and exciting read! I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Home For a Cowboy Christmas is a stand-alone Christmas story by Donna Grant. My introduction to her books was her historical paranormal romance series Dark Sword. Though I still enjoy her paranormal books, I've become a big fan of her contemporary cowboy romances. This one is great for the Christmas season. As an added plus, it's hot enough to melt snow!

Emmy Garrett is on the run. She witnessed a mob murder, and now she's in the witness protection program. After Emmy was almost killed in a hotel room while on the road to a safe place, the U.S. Marshall who is trying to keep her alive thinks of the perfect location where no one will think to look for her. That place is a ranch in Montana which belongs to his friend Dwight Reynolds. Dwight was formerly in the military, FBI and Homeland Security; who could protect Emmy better than he can? As Emmy begins to feel safe and protected, she's taken with the handsome cowboy, and he's drawn to her. Passion explodes and heats up the cold nights. But suddenly danger closes in on Emmy. Will Dwight be able to protect the woman he has come to love?

This was a lovely - and steamy! - romance, perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Dwight and Emmy are characters that you just can't resist. Dwight is a strong cowboy who's dealt with danger in the past, and he vows that no harm will come to Emmy. He's protective, doesn't mind cooking and makes Emmy feel cared for and welcome in his home. Emmy is terrified for her life, but Dwight makes her feel safe and at home. She is suffering from PTSD due to her situation, and Dwight does his best to help her work through it as he, too, once dealt with it. Emmy thinks she still may not survive her ordeal, so she makes a bold move towards Dwight, not wanting to squander this brief chance of happiness. Snow melting steam-filled erotic interludes commence, which almost melted my Kindle. When danger arrives at their doorstep, things get very exciting. Besides our hero and heroine there are other endearing characters, most notably Sam the dog and Dwight's sister Vic(toria). Snuggle up and enjoy this lovely book guaranteed to warm you up.

As an added bonus, included is a short story called Wish Upon a Cowboy. I normally don't care for insta-love stories, but this one was quite touching while also being filled with passion. It was an opposites attract tale, and it actually brought tears to my eyes. Short and sweet, but I didn't feel cheated by its brevity; it felt like a full novel with nothing being left out. I just loved it!

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of the publisher and NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Romantic suspense with steamy scenes and build up to final action. I skipped the intimate details and would have been happier without the "f" word. A dog added some heart. Interesting situation and background.

This holiday story is filled with fun, romance and non-stop action. Emmy is in protective custody as she awaits the trial of her former client, a mob boss.

A marshall Dylan, left her at a ranch in Montana with a former Marine and FBI agent Dwight, because someone in the US Marshall Service released her location. Her location is kept silent until the trial but still trouble finds her.

Can Dwight, Dylan, and others keep her safe from impending death? You'll want to read this one to find out!

I received a Free Arc ebook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

A beautifully written story of love. Emmy is in witness protection and finds herself in grave danger. When she gets dropped on Dwight’s doorstep he doesn’t hesitate to protect her. With his years of military service he is accustomed to putting himself on the line for others, but this quickly becomes personal. Being confined in close quarters with each other they see a love bloom that is right and true. It is a story that is idyllic in nature despite the danger that surrounds them. The conversations are easy, the setting is gorgeous and the HEA is guaranteed.

I found this to be another wonderful book by Donna Grant. This story is about a young woman, Emmy, running for her life, after she went to the D.A. when she saw a client murder someone. Now that client is after her to make sure she doesn't talk. Lucky for Emmy, the U.S. Marshal (Dalton) assigned to protect her has a good friend, Dwight, in an area far away from where folks are looking for her; hopefully. The story leads up to Christmas; so that is not a focal point. Trying to keep a witness alive until the trial is the main focus. There is also a Dwight's dog, Sam, who has some key moments in the story.
There is good character development and flow to the story; with a great build to the climax. The setting is mainly in the wild cattle country of Montana. Of course the HEA is there too. :)

I thought this was a quick read and I enjoyed it very much.

Emmy Garrett is in hiding until she testifies against the mob. The US Marshall protecting her shows up just in time to save her life. He decides to take her somewhere no one will be able to find her. They travel to Montana to Dwight’s ranch.
Emmy is tired and scared. Dwight is former Military, FBI and Homeland Security. Emmy stays mostly in the house not wanting anyone on the ranch to see her. The more time together the more they are attracted to each other.
Emmy has decided she will probably not live to testify and holds her self back from Dwight. There is a hitman searching for her. It’s taking a long time to trace her due to the Marshall changing vehicles and back tracking. When the hitman is close the Marshall warns Dwight.
Dwight decides to enlist help from local friends that will not talk and help keep her safe.

I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an advance reader copy of this story.

Home For A Cowboy Christmas is an adventure as well as a romance. Emmy is tired of running & hiding but she doesn't want to die either so she's on her way to another safe haven. Dwight is ex-military, ex-FBI, & ex-Homeland Security. He's actually got his head on pretty straight for a guy who's seen his share of evil & death. With Dwight & Emmy being attracted to each other & living in close quarters you can imagine it gets a little hot. Emmy's been at the ranch long enough to start feeling a bit safe from the mob killer so she's the first to act on her feelings. These 2 are a nice couple, have a great relationship and it's a ice story.

So when I first started this book I did not know what to expect since I am not one to read the back/description of a book but judge a book by its cover. I will say I was not disappointed but if you are like me this book is not what it seems. It will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to the end and have you even holding your breath waiting to see what is going to happen next. I love Vic she has such a huge heart and I am not sure what the authors plans are for her but I hope we get to read her story. Carlos is also a great side character he truly had Dwight's best interest at heart and when it mattered most. Dwight and Emmy where fun to read about I felt for Emmy but her heart was in the right place and Dwight would stop at nothing to protect what was his. This book does has some adult situations in it so may not be suitable for all readers. Overall this book was a fun read and well worth it.

You can never go wrong with a book by Donna. This one is no different. I was hooked by the first couple of pages. Emmy Grant, a bookkeeper from Denver was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Now she has a mob boss hit on her and she is running for her life. Marshall Dalton Silva is in charge of keeping her safe but when he saves her from being killed at the safe house, he knows there is a leak . Now he needs to find a safe place for her and find out who has betrayed the dept. He knows just where to take her. His friend, rancher Dwight Reynolds is ex FBI, ex Homeland Security and an ex-soldier. He doesn't know anyone who would be better to watch her. Emmy is surprised by the Ranch House it is large beautiful home in the middle of nowhere. She is scared, fearful of being alone and not sure how to talk to Dwight. He seems to understand what she needs and his dog Sam know when she needs him. Dwight turns out to be easy to be around and not hard to look at cause he handsome as sin... As Emmy and Dwight spend time with the snow, cold and fear the attraction steady grows into something so much more. With help from Dwight's sister Victoria and others these two just might get the Christmas of their dreams..
This is a wonderful Christmas romance with suspense and great characters. I loved every minute of it and know I will be reading it over again.
There is a bonus short story included. We get another cowboy and city girl story. Both Cady and Zane have been burned in the past. When snowed in a little cabin what are two strangers to do ?
Can two very different people find love in a week ?? Grab a copy and sit back to read two really great stories..
I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it. Don't miss this book it is a Christmas must.
