Let’s get to the point: we know that Emmy, the main character, is being chased. Will they find her? Yes, of course. Will she survive? Will she fall in love with her protector?

Even though you know what is coming, you still stress about how the adventure will develop as her life is on the line. There is not a lot of action as this story is mainly about the meeting of two people who would not have met otherwise and the developing romance. I found that both main characters shared their thoughts a lot and that the story could have been condensed. Still an enjoyable read.

The bonus short story was great. I loved Cady and Zane interactions and how you can overcome past experiences if you try. Sweet story.

Donna always has the right amount of steamyness and excitement in her stories. She captures trials and tribulations in a way that makes you feel for the characters.

This was a sweet, slow building romance with a touch of suspense. Despite Emmy running for her life, the author focused more on her and Dwight's budding romance. The danger smoldered in the background before coming to the forefront. While I love when an author focuses more on a couple and their building romance, I also felt like this missed out on a bit of excitement we could have gotten due to Emmy's situation. Overall, I enjoyed this couple and Dwight is the kind of hero I really like to read about. He's a bit of a loner, very protective and who doesn't love a cowboy?

I received this ARC for an honest review. This story is about Emmy and Dwight. Emmy is an accountant who mistakingly fell into becoming friends with a mob boss. When she discovered the truth, Emmy went to the DA to turn in evidence. She was put into witness protection. The mob boss found her now she’s on the run. Deputy US Marshall Dalton Silva decided to hide Emmy with his friend Dwight on his ranch.
What happens on the ranch?? You need to read the book.
Even though you know the out come of the story, it’s not a bad read.

Donna Grant has warmed my heart again with this novel. "Home For a Cowboy Christmas" was just a enjoyable read. I really loved this story as it kept my interest until the very end. Hard to put down.

A bookkeeper who witnessed a mob related crime, Emmy is on the run from assassins until she can testify against the mob boss. She's been left in the hands of Deputy US Marshall Dalton Silva until he can find her a place of safety as all others have been compromised by an insider in the witness protection program that had guaranteed her safety. She is introduced to Dwight, ex-FBI who owns a ranch in Montana in hopes that he can keep her from harm. The plot and pace was good and I loved the slow build development of their romance. Their characters are likeable and they just seem to be made for one another. There is attraction, romance, suspense and an adequate amount of intimacy that I like in a romance novel. A comfortable and delightful read that I truly recommend. This is one author that I've come to favor.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martins Press for this ARC in exchange for my fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Another great Donna Grant cowboy romance! I love how Donna Grant writes the suspense element in her books. The danger that Emmy Garrett is facing sends her to the ranch of Dwight Reynolds to hide out while she awaits to testify in a high profile crime. Dwight is friends with Emmy's handler and his ranch is far off the radar and a place Emmy can lay low. Dwight has had his far share of drama while in the service, but he meets a kindred soul with Emmy. He quickly understands the trauma she's faced and is a helpful hand and supportive ear to her when she is having a meltdown. Emmy is terrified she'll be found and is convinced she'll never see a life after she testifies, if she makes it that far.

Emmy and Dwight are drawn to one another and soon give in to the temptation. Dwight is going to do everything in this power to keep Emmy safe, but he might have a tougher job than he thinks when danger finds its way to his ranch.

A beautiful, brave, and determined witness. The U.S. Marshall sworn to keep her safe, and the ex-FBI agent who will risk it all for love.
Donna Grant's latest, Home For A Cowboy Christmas, ushers in the season with chills and thrills that have much more to do with romance and suspense than white Christmases and sleigh rides.
Emmy Garret never thought that her job as a bookkeeper would make her the target of a mob boss. But when having the worst case of "wrong place wrong time"
makes her witness to a crime that has the potential to put said mobster behind bars.
That is exactly where she finds herself.
Making matters worse for her. The fact that not even the Witness Protection Program has the power to keep her safe. As is made quite clear when an attempt on her life sends her and the U.S. Marshall charged with her protection. Out of the bounds of protocol and procedure. And on to a ranch in Montana.
Dwight Reynolds' career with the FBI may be a thing of the past. But his call to protect and serve is present and well accounted for.
Especially when it comes to keeping Emmy alive.
With the date of the mobster's trial looming. And a hit man closing in.
Home For A Cowboy Christmas is a very emotionally intense read.
Due in large part to the fact that the cast of characters is kept relatively small.
Which allows one to zero in on, and sympathize with whomever. In much the same way that one would a close friend.
While the overall premise of the book does prove formulaic in its execution.
There are distinct nuances within the relationship between Dwight and Emmy. (Such as his understanding and sympathy for her struggle with PTSD. As well as her need to provide them both with an enjoyable Christmas; in spite of her rather dire future prospects. ) That gives validity and authenticity to their bond. And a ring truth to their circumstance. Although the main reason for the "be still my heart" factor of this story has to go to Sam. Dwight's Australian Cattle Dog. Who never seems to leave Emmy's side from their first meeting. And manages to save the day too many times to count for everyone by book's end.

As if one story isn't good enough. This book contains
the short story, Wish Upon A Cowboy.
That's right...
The literary gift that keeps on giving.

I love these cowboy stories. These men take care of their women, the women are strong, don't get me wrong, but protection is a huge thing.

When Dwight has an old friend show up on his doorstep with a passenger Dwight will do whatever is necessary to keep his promise and protect her. What he doesn't know is who she is running from.

Read this amazing story of courage, persevering, and honor.

Home for a Cowboy Christmas by Donna Grant is a great book. The two main characters are hard not to fall in love with. Emmy is in witness protections outrunning the bad guys that want her dead before she can testify. Dwight is FBI, Homeland Security, and ex-alpha military all rolled into one super guy. Emmy is brought to Dwight's home as a safe house and for Dwight to protect. Donna Grant writes beautifully. In some of the scenes I felt like I was there at that moment she wrote with such detail. I think I need to visit Montana on my next vacation. I recommend this book to any one who wants to read a great romantic suspense book.

I received this ARC book from Netgalley for my honest and voluntary review.

Emmy witnesses a crime committed by a mob boss and has to go into witness protection. She arrives at Dwight’s Montana ranch.

This is a well-written romantic suspense with lots of action.

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I knew before I finished the first chapter that I would enjoy this book. While this is not my usual genre, as I'm into historical fiction, there are times that I do enjoy a romance novel. This story of Emmy who is in the witness protection program and narrowly escapes death was quite intriguing. Even more so, since she is taken by a U.S. marshal just moments before she was killed who then proceeds to deposit her at a ranch in Montana. Added to the excitement, the owner of the ranch, Dwight, promises to protect her before she has to go back to Denver to testify. As promises go as an ex-military man, he does his best to keep her safe and while doing so he falls in love with her...that love is reciprocated willingly.

From the first, and with each page, this novel became so endearing as the romance develops. I was drawn to the characters, including Sam the dog. This book was comfortable, engaging and overall entertaining. Well written, it flowed so easily I almost inhaled it. Honestly, I didn't want to read it very fast, as I wanted to make it linger for a bit longer. This book will make a great Christmas present for those who love romance novels and especially a novel that involves good looking cowboys.

My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Paperbacks for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Home For a Cowboy Christmas is a Donna Grant cowboy novel that is perfect for the Christmas season. Emmy is in the witness protection program and had been relocated to Montana for her safety. Former military and current cowboy Dwight is tasked with looking after Emmy and keeping her out of harm's way. Romance quickly follows as they spend more time together, but keeping Emmy safe may be easier said than done.

This is the sixth cowboy book I have read this year, and my second ARC from Donna Grant, and I seriously cannot get enough of this genre. Grant's books are so easy to get lost in, and are full of romance and action. I liked both of the main characters and found the relationship natural and fun to read. The overhang of Emmy being in witness protection left the feeling of possible danger behind every door and kept the book interesting. My only critique is that I found the ending a little abrupt (which is probably me being selfish and wanting to keep reading the story!). Home For a Cowboy Christmas is a great book that releases just in time for the holidays.

Home for a Cowboy Christmas by D. Grant, published by St. Martin's Press, is a book that's like coming home when you open it and start reading.
Emmy is on the run from bad men.
Dwight is an ex-FBI Agent who's now living on a ranch somewhere very rural. He grants her a new home for the time being and soon they develop a beautiful love story, but there'*s still the thread of the danger Emmy's in.
HfaCC is a fast paced, action packed love story with just the right amount of everything to make it a fantastic read, 5 stars.

When Emmy's life is threatened even after entering witness protection, one of the Marshalls calls in a favor and leaves her at his friend's ranch. Even though Emmy doubts she will live to testify, she can't help but develop feelings for her new protector, Dwight. But is there any hope for a future for Emmy and Dwight as long as a killer is on her trail? This was a very enjoyable cowboy romance with a hint of suspense. And if that wasn't enough, there was a bonus cowboy novella included!

Super cute book and the story was so well done. I loved the main characters. They were written as people you would like to get to know and you hoped everything would turn out for them.

I requested to read and review this book for free from St.Martin Publishing. Author Donna Grant does again with a must read. This book had a little bit of everything mystery, drama, romance. Can you instantly be attracted to someone you just met. What about love? Does danger make love better or worse? Can you say doing the right thing is always easy? Characters Dwight, Dalton and Emmy will have you not wanting to put this book down. This for a mature reader but can be read anywhere!

Who the heck is her client?

Haha, poor guy!

Ugh, cops like this give the police force a bad name.

You're well rid of him, Stella.

Wow, Victoria. Can you say "shopping spree"?

She forgot about the knife in her boot.
