This is an absolutely cute book! I'd love to read this to my kid when she is already able to understand what it means. I loved that it gave the reader the message of still finding your purpose even if it is not what you're being readied to do since you were a kid.

Very harming little book about a very cute little ghost. Perfect Halloween book for the little one with the thematic whiteout being scary! I loved it!

A cute little book about a quiet and friendly ghost who doesn't fit into the normal ghost stereotype.

This is literally the sweetest, cutest Halloween story ever.

I mean GIlbert is such a wonderful little ghost, the illustration just makes it so much cuter than you can even imagine!

I loved the unlikely friendship between Gilbert and meow, and how they ended up making a space for themselves, together, even if they were both in an abandoned place.

If you want to teach someone friendship, self-acceptance, the idea that it's okay to be different and that you will always find a place in the world... this is it!

And once again, how cute is Gilbert!

This is a beautiful book! People says that sometimes being unique means you're not useful. However, it was proven wrong by this book. The story just made me think that not being able to fit in is not a sin nor a shortcoming. It is the way you prove that you can do things and make positive things from negative inputs people or the world gave you.

I never thought ghosts would be this cute. Of course, except Casper.

I wish the cover was better than this because it doesn't do justice for the contents.

I love the story and the illustrations.

A good one. Apt for the kids.

Thank you, author and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.

An inventive way to show the benefits of being your own self, with a ghost demanded to leave Ghost School because he's not scary enough, and told to not come back until he is. With the help of a new, unlikely friend – why, he never even needs try and fit in with the old crowd. The lesson about not forcing yourself into a gang when you just don't fit, and finding happiness on your own terms, are most attractive ones, and the artwork almost matches.
