Another fantastic read from this author, this book has so many facets you’ll get lost in the depths of it and will hate it when the book ends.

Hawk is driven by his past to fix the hurts of those that surround him and is success oriented in his job such that it is obsession like for him. Pushed to recall painful memories he strives to compete his last mission and find the 3 women that didn’t come home. This depth of his character is so well explored in this book and explains his seeming reticence in earlier books extremely well. I love how his fall into despair was written in the beginning of the book and the focus on his and her story desperately during her captivity was great.

I felt so badly for Cailyn and her losses in this book, the trauma of the events and how it ended, the loss of her life as she knew it and yet there was so much joy and happiness in what she found with Hawk. I loved how her recovery from captivity wasn’t skipped over and brought into much of the following storyline too with her obsession with water.

I thought that this book explored past and present trauma in a meaningful way with enough depth that you felt it but not so much that you lost sight of the happiness and good feel romance of the story too.

I love this authors works and this series continues to get better for me.

I’m eager to read the rest of the teams books and am sneakily hoping O’Reilly gets a HEA too……

I was gifted an ARC in exchange for an honest review

wish I had known this was part of a series when I started (not necessary to know what is going to happen in this book, it can be read alone) because there is back history between the characters.

This is the story of Tyler "Hawk" Morgan and Cailyn Ridley. Tyler is a SEAL and Cailyn is an oncology nurse who is kidnapped by Isis. Even after she is rescued from her captors, Cailyn is still in danger.

Instalove, happily ever after and not to be missed! This story is so adorable and it's great they have each other to heal the demons of the past. And the gruff "boss" character who knows all here is also great!
