The friendship between Delilah, Iris, and Claire + Astrid and Delilah's sibling relationship vastly outweighed the entirety of the romance, which says it all, I think. Not an unenjoyable romance, simply forgettable.

Having sung the praises of AHB's MG and YA titles for so many years now, nobody is more disappointed than me to say that this book was a struggle. I actually set it aside 50pg in the first time I tried reading it, and had to pick it back up with an audiobook to force myself past the first few chapters because I disliked Delilah's character so much. Thankfully, the audiobook narrator was fantastic and I gradually was drawn in enough to give the story a solid chance.

In the end, Delilah slowly redeemed herself a little bit for me, but it took a very long time to get there and I still wasn't a huge fan by the time I reached the last page. I typically LOVE prickly, unlikable protagonists, but Delilah's particular flavor of attitude was so petty and self-centered that I had a hard time working past it. I will admit that I felt a lot of empathy for her unresolved traumas and I loved watching her bond with Ruby and play pranks on Astrid's disgusting groom-to-be, but I spent most of the book wishing I could tell her to grow up.

All of that said, I thought Delilah and Claire had a lot of chemistry, and I actually loved Astrid's character from the start, so I'm very eager to read the next book and see her get the love she deserves. AHB's narrative voice is engaging and fun, and I can see why so many people loved this book. I'm sad that I wasn't one of them, but I have high hopes for the sequel!

Delightful, sweet and heart-wrenching. I loved the characters in this book, which makes me really excited that this is a series! Ashley Herring Blake does a great job of making her characters three-dimensional, and the worldbuilding is nice in this one, especially now that I know I'll have at least two more books to read.

This romance novel is among the best thanks to its expert combo of yearning, smut, and rich internal lives for the characters. Plus, the bi rep is fabulous!

I knew I was going to like this book, but didn't anticipate how much I would fall in love with this book. It is the perfect sapphic rom-com. The characters are relatable and I loved not only the romantic dynamic, but the friendship dynamics as well. This book touched on family trauma and did so in a way that was relatable and accessible, and balanced perfectly with the romance for an overall well-rounded, well-written book.

Delilah Green Doesn't Care reminded me why we need more sapphic romcoms in literature. From the start, it already gave me 'Tis the Damn Season vibes and you know I love my Taylor Swift references and allusions. This book delivered.

AHB is an auto-buy author for me. I have loved all of her MG and YA books, so I was hype read her more mature content. And I absolutely loved it. AHB is so, so good at creating relatable and fun characters while being delicate with realistic issues. I’m excited to read more Bright Falls.

Delilah Green Doesn’t Care was a fun and compelling sapphic romance novel, and I will definitely be reading more of Blake’s books. The characters are well-written and believable, with the chemistry jumping off the page.

I read a fair bit of romances, but find myself very critical of them usually. This one definitely met, and exceeded my expectations! The characters felt real, the romance felt fleshed out and the resolution of the plot was great. A definite recommendation to any romance readers. So good! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

I really adored Delilah and her cynicism. I loved Claire's daring and her spunk that she especially gained as the book went on. The insta sizzle that took place at the bar in the first flirting was perfect.

Every character in this book was flushed out with rich personalities, I am excited to read what comes next for them all.

I absolutely loved the plot line for this book. The author did such a great job adding the best blend of sarcasm and flirting to make this one of my favorite romance reads this year!

I cannot stop thinking about this book and shoving it into people’s hands. Everyone I’ve recommended it to so far has told me how much they loved it too. Delilah and Claire are the perfect representation of the grump/sunshine trope (a personal favourite) and the side characters are to die for. I can’t wait to see them all again in the next book!

I’m so happy I finally picked up Delilah Green Doesn’t Care! This cute romcom will definitely leave you with a lot of feelings 🥹

Delilah isn’t excited to be back in Bright Falls for her stepsister, Astrid’s wedding. But she’s been hired to take the pictures, and she needs the money. What she didn’t expect was to fall for Astrid’s friend, Claire.

I loved the characters in this romance, but I felt like the beginning was a tad too slow and the end too fast.

The characters individually were great, but I was frustrated by how immature they acted at times. I really wanted more from Delilah and Astrid’s relationship, and I felt like something was missing when it came to their sister relationship. The pair have such a complicated past and one that has left them with so many emotions.

Their childhood is front and center of the story, but then it was resolved in like 5 pages. I didn’t feel like they really delved into their sister-relationship enough, and even though it’s a romance, I really wanted more of that.

Also, Delilah has a lot of unresolved feelings towards her stepmom, and I would’ve loved to see some sort of confrontation.

Ultimately though, I loved the romance and thought it was super swoon-worthy. While Delilah could be unlikeable at times, Claire, the love interest, was a delight. I loved reading her chapters.

Claire was a really complex character, and Blake did a great job with her character development. I loved Claire’s daughter, Ruby, and the relationship she has with her ex, Josh.

Although I felt like some key relationships and character development was missing, this was an enjoyable romance, and I’m excited to see what Blake writes next.

A queer, Cinderella inspired romance? Sign me up. I loved this story - it's about Delilah, who reluctantly returns to her small town to photograph her step sister's wedding. Delilah's chemistry with Claire was great - though I don't normally love miscommunication, but it was really well done in this book. I also really enjoyed the complicated family dynamics - it was easy to have sympathy for all characters involved and see from each of the POV. I'm dying for Astrid's book!

Can't believe I waited so long to read this book! It's a grumpy / sunshine romance with a side of sibling feels and every bit what I want from a romance. Delilah returns to her childhood home to photograph her estranged stepsister's wedding, expecting to hate every second of it. Then she meets a single mom , Claire, who also happens to be one of the very girls who made her life so miserable and lonely during her teen years. But a bit of flirting--and obvious interest from Claire--and suddenly this trip home gets a lot more fun. I think the best indication of how much I loved this book is that I immediately requested started the sequel after finishing it.

Received a digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.

Follows the typical plot line of these new contemp/chicklit/romance that are becoming popular. I did like how the addition of a preteen daughter gave a little more to one of the MCs. It was a good read for what it is.
