I don't know if there are enough words to describe how much I loved this book. Delilah was everything I wanted in an MC, she was crass and unapologetically herself and I loved that. I couldn't put this one down and I am absolutely DYING to read the next book. I can't wait to re-read this book, over and over again. 10/10 would recommend. ALL of the stars for Ashley Herring Blake - you've written a masterpiece that tugged at my heart in all the right places. I'm forever a fangirl now.

Yesssssss! 1,000% yes!!! I loved this romcom so much. It was funny, it was honest and very real. I love that the author gave us a love story, no holding back. I have come across other LGBTQ books that hide the love story and steaminess. In an era in which representation is crucial, we need more raw stories like this one. LGBTQ rom-coms are well overdue. I love that the author wrote a true and authentic love story that also included the steaminess. that completes the story.

After an emotionally tumultuous childhood, Delilah Green swore that she would avoid her small home town of Bright Falls, OR at all costs. This works for a few years: she moves to New York, starts a career as a budding photographer, and is hardly ever alone. But then her estranged sister, Astrid, asks Delilah to photograph her wedding and she’s thrown right back into the dynamics that made her teen years miserable. But then Delilah runs into Astrid’s best friend and bridesmaid, Claire, and things become a little more complicated. When Delilah and Claire are repeatedly thrown together during wedding preparations and bond over how despicable they find Astrid’s fiancé, will they be able to stay apart for Astrid’s sake? Or will their emotions win out?

This is a great sapphic romance. Our two main characters are lovable, complicated, and human. They each express a lot of complex emotions that really flesh them out into fully-formed individuals. It was a joy to read Delilah and Claire’s journeys both individually and with each other. On top of the romance, there are beautiful discussions about found family, female friendships, single motherhood, and absent parents. Mix this in with bridesmaid hijinks, witty characters, and a very spunky eleven-year-old kid and you have what I consider to be a 5-star book. Plus, book two of this trilogy will be coming out in Nov. 2022!

I received a copy of #DelilahGreenDoesntCare by @ashleyherringblake (courtesy of @NetGalley) and I wish I had gotten to it so much sooner. I loved this book so much! Maybe it’s because I’m from a small, nowhere town, population suck, but it really resonated with me in that way. And if you’re a queer person who hasn’t felt like they didn’t belong at some point, you should count yourself lucky! As I ended the book I was sad it was over but then I saw this is book one out of three! I can’t wait to read the next book in the series #AstridParkerDoesntFail !#queerbookstagram #lgbt

I loved this book. I picked it up and couldn't put it down. I was able to root for all the character and feel all swoony for Delilah and Claire. This was a great queer love story.
I also liked the body diversity, while I'm not sure I would include Claire in the fat girls in fiction because I think she may be more midsize, I loved the writing about her body. It was written just like a normal mom body, soft tummy, stretch marks and all. I enjoy when stories seek too normalize normal bodies.
Over all I would definitely recommend this book to readers looking for a feel good read you can lose yourself in.

Yay for cute mature Sapphic stories! I loved this book and how all the characters worked together throughout. The descriptions of everything, especially Delilah's photographs are excellent and I felt as if I could easily visualize them. I really loved the inclusion of Josh in Claire's life and showing how they interact - more happy co-parenting plots please. Very excited for the second book in the series!

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for providing an eARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

This was definitely one of those romances that gets super popular before it comes out, and thus I avoid it out of fear that it will not live up to expectations. I ended up reading it because I got an arc on NetGalley though.

The story follows Delilah as she ends up being finagled into photographing her stepsister Astrid's wedding. When she gets pulled into a scheme to help her sister's friends stop the wedding before it begins, she ends up falling for Claire Sutherland, a single mother who happens to be one of Astrid's closest friends.

The characterization in this novel is incredibly strong. Both MC's are well developed and dynamic, and the side characters as well never feel the slightest bit underdone. This is pretty difficult to find in romances, especially, and so I was incredibly excited when I heard the story is going to be getting a sequel about Astrid.

The romance was beautifully done, with plenty of development and a backstory that made my heart hurt. I think the bi rep is done so so so well (as a bi person), and the author is also bi, so that makes me happy.

Representation: bi and lesbian mcs, mspec sc

Trigger Warnings: toxic relationship, deceased parents, parental abandonment, controlling and emotionally abusive parent, toxic masculinity, past cheating, alcohol, divorce

When Delilah is hired to photograph her estranged step-sister Astrid's wedding, she is forced to return to Bright Falls. Delilah. When she comes across Claire, one of her sister's bridesmaids, she decides to have some fun. However, it's not long before Delilah is starting to have real feelings for Claire
This was fun and really sweet. I loved the relationship between Delilah and Claire and I really enjoyed the parts with Claire's daughter.

I wanted to love this book. The cover is so great, Ashley Herring Blake is a great writer, and the premise sounded fun. Even with all that, I couldn't make myself finish it. I just couldn't get invested in the characters. Astrid especially seemed too smart to have ended up engaged to such a tool in the first place. This book was fun and light, but it just wasn't for me. I gave up about 60% of the way through. I will not post to Goodreads because I don't like to post less than stellar reviews.

i put this book off for so long because it was one of my most anticipated romances of 2022 and I was afraid of disappointment, this book exceeded all my expectations. Delilah Green Doesn't Care is about Delilah and Claire. Delilah is a lonely artist in the big city who must go back home to her small town to be a wedding photographer for her estranged step sister Astrid. In returning home she confronts difficult childhood memories, a complicated family dynamic and a stubborn childhood crush that still has a hold on her. Claire is mother to an adorable tween named Ruby who she's struggling to do right by in a messy co-parenting situation with Ruby's father, Josh. When these two women reunite sparks fly.

Y'all this was brilliant. The story was so fun, and sexy and full of romcom absurdity but it was also a really kind and heartfelt narrative full of nuanced characters and I loved it so much. I adored Claire and Delilah's connection, there was such passion and intensity between them but there was also so much tenderness and I loved how vulnerable they were with one another. I love the way this story handles Claire's parenting woes as she became a mother at a very young age and she's constantly worried about whether she's doing what's best for Ruby and being the best parent she could be, it was just really great and I liked seeing how her parenting anxieties were handled. As for Delilah, I loved her journey and seeing how her lonely childhood led to an isolated adult life and how she struggled to break those cycles, her childhood traumas were handled so deftly. The story also has a really good cast of nuanced side characters and I can't wait to learn more about them in subsequent books in the series. Overall this was great, delightfully queer, surprisingly sexy, and so heartfelt.

I had heard so many wonderful things about this book, but was not expecting to love it so so much. I loved the characters, the drama, the sister’s relationship, and the romance. The steam level was good, the banter was good, and I loved the two perspectives. Already making this authors next book one of my most anticipated of the year!!! This book made it in my top reads so far this year!

Really enjoyed this adult contemporary queer romance! I am a huge fan of Ashley Herring Blake's YA and MG books and was super excited for her adult debut. It definitely lived up to my expectations and I really enjoyed it. I especially appreciated that one of the main characters was a single mom!

This book had just the right amount of banter and steam and I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series. While this book was a romance novel at its core, it also deals with complicated family and friendship dynamics and balanced all those themes really well.

My only complaint is that the book seemed to lose momentum and drag a bit in the middle. There seemed to be some filler that didn't really advance the narrative but was maybe just there to stretch the book out. For example, the characters are in the midst of preparing for a huge wedding and then just decide to take a big camping trip. Them going camping didn't seem to serve much of a purpose and it just felt like the story kind of stalled out for a big.

Overall, still really enjoyed this one and will absolutely be recommending it to my fellow romance readers!

This book is perfect! I'm so ready for the next one. Loved seeing a romance where one of them has a kid. Love the misunderstanding between the sisters. Loved the way photographs were described because I don't normally see that handled well in books.

Deliah Green Doesn’t Care is a fun, swoony romance novel. I have been highly anticipating this book ever since the cover was announced because, honestly, who could resist such a pretty cover? Not to mention the characters are hot. So I’m happy to say that although Delilah Green was not the new favourite I hoped for, it still definitely lived up to the hype.

This book is told from a dual point of view and I really enjoyed reading from both Delilah and Claire. They each had a unique voice and distinct personalities. Delilah was equal parts snarky and charismatic and vulnerable. Claire was kind and caring – the ultimate mum friend. They saw the world and the people around them differently based on their life and previous experiences with them which was really interesting. This was particularly clear when it came to Astrid, Delilah’s step sister. Claire saw through Astrid’s hard exterior to her best friend from childhood while Delilah, who never got to know her step sister that well and had some bad experiences with her as a child, only saw that hard exterior. It meant that both narrators would experience a scene entirely differently so it was really fun switching between POV’s.

I also loved Delilah and Claire together. From the initial tension and flirtation to realising they actually wanted each other was a delight to read. Both our main characters yearned for love and connection in different ways and I loved seeing them find that in each other. The sex scenes were well written and enjoyable, and the way the two characters described each other and thought about each other was so good. They’re both so hot I would like to date them both. I also adored the scenes between Delilah and Claire’s daughter. This is what I’d been looking forward to most about the book as I am a sucker for romances where one of the characters has a kid and we follow the other partner meeting the kid and falling a little in love with them too. Delilah Green definitely lived up to my expectations there.

I really enjoyed the main plotline of trying to call off the wedding and get Astrid to dump her fiancé. It really made the friendship between Claire, Iris and Astrid shine and I loved seeing Delilah find her place in that dynamic. It was also a great vehicle to develop Astrid and Delilah’s relationship and I loved this exploration of the complications of grief and misunderstandings and family. This was truly the heart of the novel and it was so well written. I can’t wait to continue this journey in Astrid’s book!

Overall, Delilah Green Doesn’t Care is a wonderful romance novel guaranteed to make you swoon, even as the emotional beats make your heart twinge. It is a book about healing and growing and love in all its forms and I so highly recommend it.

3.5 stars!

I really enjoyed this sapphic romance between Delilah and Claire. It was definitely more of a slow burn pace, which I tend to crave fast when it comes to my romance, but I just adored the characters so much!

This was an emotional read, seeing the grief that Delilah is processing after losing her parents, and trying to find her place in what was left of family between her step-sister Astrid, and step-Mother.

It was a character driven story, and I loved getting each POV that shared their struggles. The friend group was fun too, and I’m excited for the next book in the series!

*many thanks to Berkley/Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

While this book was cute and enjoyable, I expected something more from it. I did find it enjoyable.

Delilah and Claire were everything I wanted in an adorable couple coming together in a romcom, unconventional, LBGTQ+ couple way. That being said, it was written sort of immature for a couple of 30-year-olds. The story would've fit better if they were 20-year-olds or so.

It had some great f/f spice, friend group, small town, sarcastic banter, single parent, and found family vibes. There were some heavier vibes such as grief, death of a parent, childhood trauma, and not a lot of healing for both Delilah and the other main characters.

Overall I am interested to see what will happen in the next book as there are some missing elements and the book was lacking some key points for me.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader's copy of this book for an honest review.

Delilah Green doesn't care was all I wanted and more in a sapphic romance novel. I loved the banter between Delilah and Claire so much, and also the complex storyline from Claire's past with her daughter and ex.

I loved the tension and spice in the romance aspects of this novel so much and it never felt like too much and also added to the plot of the story. I love a complex storyline within a romance book so so much and this one did not disappoint!

Though I do wish there was an epilogue that would tell me more of what happened between the two women, I see potential for a future story including Delilah and Claire!

Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book!

I absolutely loved this book! All the characters were so well developed and had unique personalities without overshadowing any of the others. I loved the banter and flirting and tension.

I adore this book. Easily one of my favourites this year.

Mmmmm y'all the romance was top tier but what really made this book was the sister relationship!! Astrid and Delilah's relationship was so complex and interesting, and as someone with a complicated relationship with her sister (though not at this level), I really appreciated that both sides were equally valid.

But also the romance...why am I in love with Delilah and Claire?? Icons. Claire as a single mom with a complicated ex situation was so well developed, and her past relationship with Delilah set up so much tension in the present to explore. Also, the friendships!! Delilah was one of those characters I loved despite her being A Lot sometimes, and it was great watching her learn to let down her guard a little and bond with Astrid's friends (and Astrid herself).

Anyway love the vibes and I'm SO excited for Astrid's book!!

Pros: complex family relationships and excellent (steamy) romance
Cons: Astrid's relationship with the fiancé is explained but not satisfyingly enough for me, I wanted more (though maybe we'll get that in Astrid's book)
CW: sexual content, death of parent, grief, toxic relationship
