I am extremely torn on this book. The first 80% or so, I was really enjoying it. At least a 4 star read, possibly 5. The descriptions of annoying workplace archetypes was especially poignant. But then there was a chapter about bridezillas that turned classist in a way that just made my uncomfortable. The lens with which I read the remaining 20% was altered and the author came across as petty and unnecessarily mean towards those who don't meet her standard. I found it interesting in the afterword that the author acknowledged that her prose could be interpreted negatively. I feel like dialing down the mean girl, classist attitude would make the book a better read even if that gentler person isn't who the author really is.

This book really was a bitchfest. Almost depressing. I tried to like it and kept reading it, but couldn't make it to the end.

I'm on the fence with this one. It's like the author was inside my head and speaking out of my mouth. However without knowing who is behind the writing you don't fully grasp the hilarity throughout this book. The author then becomes more of a person who is ranting and whiny. Funny read but once you're through it, you're done. I wouldn't lick it back up to rad again. While I liked what the book had to "say", I wouldn't offer it up as a good read to anyone. More like if you're feeling down and want someone to relate to, pickup this book.

Huh?? That's pretty much where I'm at with this one. So, this book was originally published in 2012 and then republished in 2021? Um...why? Too add a technology chapter?

I think if the author had identified themselves, I would have enjoyed this book more. I liked the stories, but to me this just seemed to be written by someone who was super bored in their room one day and said WTH, I'm going to vent about everyone and everything I hate and call it a book.

Full disclosure, I would ordinarily be totally down for that shit! I love people who speak their mind, who give 0 f****, who live their best life the way they want to live it! Do you, I say.

But, be transparent. Be yourself. Don't hide behind a fake name. It just takes away from how entertaining this book could be.

Thank you Netgalley for the e-ARC.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The book started out great. I loved it so much that I also messaged the author communicating my feelings about it. In some places, it is great, the observations about the world very accurate and sassy. On the other hand, in some places, it seems very whiny. I know, that's what the book is about, given the title, but still, continuously reading the same thing in the same tone over and over again feels repetitive and then, sassy became whiny. Given that I enjoyed reading the maximum number of chapters, I'm going to go with 3.5 stars, here rounded off to 4.

I'll recommend this book to you if you're kind of a judgemental person ( I am and I admit this without shame) or enjoy sassy content.

This book was a page turner from beginning to end. Raw real and hilarious. I felt like I had a front row seat to a real housewives and loved every second of it! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved the sarcasm and bad attitude with these stories but the book seemed like one big complaint. Some parts were LOL hilarious and I could relate but there were also some cringe-worthy hateful moments where there should have been some sympathy, JMO.

Wish I would have liked this more but still a decent read of one woman's observations. Possible recommendation.

Vivienne Vuitton gives her special insights into life, work, friends, etc and gives the reader permission to be a bitch when needed. This is a quick read that will make you laugh out loud and have you nodding your head in agreement. You may find that you recognize people that you know in your own personal life within the pages of this book. It's very witty and quirky. Definitely a great book to pick up when you need something different to read!

What can I say. Vivienne Vuitton is priceless. So irreverent. So hilarious. It takes a poke at every jaded, silly and outrageous flavour of the month style, inept and smarmy co-workers and relationship disasters and more.. A quick read, but delicious. I'm hoping there is a book 2!

Thank you #Netgalley for advanced copy!

Vivienne Vuitton shares many short essays of people you may encounter during your life, work place drama, the progression of friendships and so much more. There will be at least one story that you will be able to relate to. Loved her sarcastic perspectives and how sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and move along.
