What's not to love? Christmas? Romance? Small-town? This book delivers on the expectations of Christmas romance novels, and I would definitely read more from Jennifer Snow in the future.

Wow this book was just so good and so easy to get lost in. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I just didn't want the story to end. I just couldn't get enough of these wonderful characters and I just loved getting to see their journey. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.

charming and uplifting read that will make readers believe in the magic of the holiday season. Highly recommended for fans of holiday romances and feel-good stories.

Jessica and Mitch's book is a sweet and feel-good holiday story!

I have to be honest--for most of the book I honestly wasn't sure what ultimate choices Jess and Mitch were going to make here (beyond of course being together in the end, somehow--an HEA in romance is a must, after all!), either which ones I wanted them to go with or which ones they would. Ms Snow definitely kept me turning the pages to find out!

I'm pleased with the direction they went, but honestly wasn't sure what they would do right up to the end!

A Lot Like Christmas is the second book in the series, but it did work just fine as a standalone. What I saw of Sarah and Wes (MCs of book 1, A Lot Like Love ) here, though, definitely inspired me to put their book on my TBR. Ms Snow leaves us with a bit a question mark about Whitney, Jess's other friend, here--is her engagement to Trevor really OK? Why is she being so distant, even with Jess and Sarah?--so my fingers are crossed we'll find out her story too!

(Just a couple of quick criticisms here--it felt like the situations around both Jess's and Mitch's jobs weren't quite 100% realistic. Could a busy bakery owner really just take off the 3 days before Christmas on a whim with zero warning? Didn't she have orders? If she was going to be closed anyway (which would be fine!) did I miss where she indicated that? Also, don't most people who travel for work (and even pleasure) to places such as those Doctors without Borders go to have specific vaccinations, etc. that they need to have taken care of beforehand? My mom had to do major planning with her doctor when planning her trip to Africa a few years ago and had a specific schedule of shots, etc. to take care of ahead of time. But neither Mitch nor Jessica talked about it once. Neither of these things is a huge deal storywise, but both took me out of the story for a bit.)

Rating: 4 stars / B+

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Jessica has had her heart broken several times and is considered by some to be a lucky charm because her exes always found true love immediately after their breakup with her. She was tired of missing out on love herself. When Dr. Mitch Jameson steps back into her life, maybe she could find that or maybe he would be a lucky diversion since his time in Blue Moon Bay was for a limited engagement.

I liked this story very much, however, it comes with a but. . . I don't prefer to read about the details of someone's sex life so I wouldn't be recommending this book to friends because of that. The story itself was sweet and wonderful to read without those details and their chemistry was there without the detail of their sex life.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

If you’re looking for a Hallmark story with steam, you’ve found it.
Jess owns the bakery in her cute little hometown and Mitch is from her hometown but he’s been awayworking with Doctors Without Borders for many years. He’s coming home for Christmas for 3 weeks before his next mission and while he’s home, he meets Jess, who’s struggling with an offer to sell her bakery. She is tempted to sell it and see what else is out there in the world, but everyone and everywhere knows is there in her town and she loves it that way. But when Mitch comes and shows her a whole new perspective and love and intimacy like she’s never known, she thinks that maybe she can sell.
If you like instagram love, spicy scenes and holiday romance, this is for you.

Language: R (51+ swears, 1+ "f"); Mature Content: R; Violence: G+
I stopped reading because of the sex scene I didn't want to read halfway through the book. Plus, the characters were getting somewhat repetitive. I'm still a little curious as to how everything resolves, but not enough to keep reading. The mature content rating is for alcohol use, innuendo, nudity, and sex.

A feel good emotional read that I truly enjoyed. I love age gap, holiday romances and brothers best friend so this worked perfectly for me.

Loved this book. The story and character buildup and relationship development was great. I loved that it had a plot and wasn’t just a ton of steamy scenes, which dont get me wrong sometimes I love books with lots of spicy scenes and very little plot but this one was really good and had enough plot to keep me hooked. It reminded me so much of Nights in Rodanthe but with the ending it deserved. I love books with HEA. So glad I was able to read it.

Jennifer Snow’s new series set in Blue Moon Bay continues with the second of three best friends as she finds love in the most unexpected of men at the most beautiful time of the year. Snow has become one of my favorite contemporary romance authors in recent years as I read more of her series and I was surprised when this new series slipped under my radar and grabbed my heart without me knowing it was coming well in advance. That said I am thrilled I have had the chance to get to know these three crazy ladies and the small town they call home. Jessica Connolly is the perpetual girl left behind and though she loves her small bakery in her hometown she is starting to question if she needs to move on to find her own little slice of true happiness. Dr. Mitch Jameson is forced home to the town he ran from years ago, despite his wishes, at the most wonderful time of the year, and he is miserable. Then he walks into the bakery to meet the most intriguing and beautiful woman to cross his path in ages. Neither of these two are looking for a deep connection and they both realize their time together comes with an end date, but the connection is undeniable and the more time they spend together the harder it is to deny the draw between them. In the end sometimes it comes down to simply choosing to give yourself to love …or not. I found myself totally enthralled by this story, despite the simple and obvious holiday trope, mainly because Jessica and Mitch were both hilarious characters and they brought levity and sweetness to a story that was filled with tears at many moments. Yes I cried a lot, and the tears were rarely happy, but in the end they brought each other a happiness that overcame the hardships they both had to deal with. Jessica was witty, sweet, and loving to those who deserved her care, but she had a depth that so many had overlooked which Mitch dug into and fell in love with. Her fears and hang-ups about being left out and alone were easy to relate to and made you root for her to find her HEA in a big way. Dr. Mitch was dealing with some very serious trauma from his travels and it was obvious he had a form of PTSD that left him unable to connect with those he loved until Jessica showed him a way out of the darkness. I loved seeing him find the fun and lightness in the holiday events they shared and the moments they shared just the two of them as well. The depth of passion they share only seemed to grow the more time they spent together and I could see they were made for one another from the beginning. I am dying to find out what comes next in this series for sure and to see more of the crazy characters in this small town. As always Jennifer Snow’s small town atmosphere and lightness come through despite several heavy subjects and the challenge of two people falling in love against their better judgments. Worth every page-turning moment.

Want to travel to Alaska and not leave your house? Jennifer Snow will take you there. Her books are fantastic and they are so descriptive and character driven.

~~~ I received this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review ~~~
What a wonderful, romantic, holiday novel! Jennifer Snow sure knows how to spin a story full of emotion with characters full of chemistry. A Lot Like Christmas follows the budding relationship between Jessica (a bakery owner) and Mitch (a Doc with Doctors Without Borders). They live very different lives that intersect over the holidays. They fall hard, but their life can't be put on hold after Christmas. This is a true Christmas story set in a lovely town on the CA coast north of LA. It is a story of family, friendship, trust, true love- and in the end compromise. I adored Jess and Mitch and look forward to the next book in the Blue Moon Bay series (#1 is really good too!). If you love HEA holiday stories full of chemistry (and some steamy scenes), then you must add this to your Christmas-to-read list!
I loved this book, and I'm looking forward to much more Jennifer Snow in my future! Mitch and Jessica are romance at it's finest!. I think I actually would have appreciated a little more focus on what Mitch had gone through, that was lacking for me at a couple points in the book. Otherwise, this was pure holiday perfection.
Jennifer Snow is a relatively new author for me, but I'm really enjoying her stories and writing! After reading and really enjoying the first book in the Blue Moon Bay series, I knew that I had to pick this book up as well! I enjoyed this story about Mitch and Jessica, a bakery owner, a lot. Jessica is very busy with her work and she keeps making cakes for her exes' weddings. She never thinks that her time will come. I enjoyed the development in this book. I love the small town of Blue Moon Bay and I felt like I was reading about close friends. This series is a must read!
