Connolly is a hometown girl. She loves her town of Blue Moon Bay where she has family and good friends. She also runs a successful bakery, but she has been given an offer to sell it, an offer that is making it difficult to decide what to do. Dr. Mitch Jameson is a wanderer, working with Doctors Without Borders. He is home to spend Christmas with his family before leaving for three months in Cambodia. When he meets the beautiful, intriguing bakery owner who has no desire to date or become serious with anyone, they decide to spend time together over the holidays. Of course we all know where this is heading.
I really like Jessica's character. She is such a caring person, often putting the needs of family and friends before her own. Mitch is the brother of one of her friends, and he is wandering the world because he hasn't found what he is looking for. There romance proceeded pretty quickly, but it worked in this story. There is a situation that forces Jessica to make a decision about what she wants out of life that causes some angst, but I liked her decision. There were several tropes in this one: BFF's brother, Older male/younger female, always a bridesmaid/never a bride, fake relationship and maybe others. I enjoyed a lot about this story, but it was a bit too steamy for me. I did have to skim several scenes. This is the second book in the series, but I did not read the first book and that didn't seem to matter, I had no problem following this story. If you enjoy a steamy, passionate Christmas romance with great characters, then this book is for you,

This is the second book in a series but definitely can be read as a stand alone. Jessica and Mitch are both at a crossroads when they meet again after many years. Mitch is much older than Jessica but have a strong attraction. Quick cute book but very steamy. It is a fun holiday book. I loved the ending!! This book was provided by Net Galley but the opinions are all mine. Definitely recommend.

It's beginning to look A Lot like Christmas! And I absolutely loved this new book from Jennifer Snow. She's quickly becoming a must read author for me. Jessica Connolly is always the baker and never the bride. In fact, she has a bit of a reputation for being a lucky charm for the men she dates, just not with her. But then in steps the hot Doctor Mitch Jameson, and older brother to her best friend (which hello! love this trope!). And there is instant sparks. I loved these two together. This book features a great small town and cast of characters, lots of holiday cheer, and a sweet romance with a little bit of steam! I couldn't put this one down and it's definitely a top 5 favorite Christmas book for 2021.
This Christmas season, love comes where you least expect it.
For Jessica Connolly, there is no better place than her coastal hometown of Blue Moon Bay. She has a wonderful family, supportive best friends, and a successful bakery on Main Street. Unfortunately, every time she designs one of her ex-boyfriends' wedding cakes, she's reminded just how unlucky she is with love...and that she's a good luck charm for men to find their happily ever after. With someone else. The minute they break up. So she's decided to be done with love.
Dr. Mitch Jameson is more comfortable traveling the world with Doctors Without Borders than staying in one place. He just needs to survive the holidays in his small hometown before he can leave again. The beautiful, intriguing bakery owner with an aversion to dating might be just who he needs to occupy his restless heart.
From sipping hot chocolates at the local festival of lights to early morning dessert deliveries, Jessica and Mitch rediscover the spirit of the holidays. But when the 25 days of Christmas are over, will their romance be over, too?

This is the second book in the Blue Moon Bay series.
Jessica owns a bakery that she loves baking in but she seems to always end up making wedding cakes for ex's of hers. She wonders when it'll be her turn to have a wedding. Of course she doesn't see it happening in the foreseeable future, her bakery keeps her so busy she doesn't have time for romance.
Jessica's character is so fun, she has a great personality but will she eventually get her turn at a happily ever after?
Fun read, recommended.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

This is a wonderful second book in Jennifer Snow's Blue Moon Bay series. Both main characters are struggling with decisions on what to do with their life. Mitch works for Doctor's Without Borders and while that is his passion, his latest mission has deeply affected him. Then he meets Jessica and the idea of leaving on another mission doesn't have the same appeal. Jessica, meanwhile, doesn't feel like the small town she loves is restricting her romantic options. As the holidays approach, she faces the decision of whether or not to sell her bakery which would give the her the option to start over someplace new, or maybe even travel with Mitch, but what about her friends and family in Blue Moon Bay? Both of them have difficult decisions to make and that was before they factored love into the equation.
Set during Christmastime, it was easy to root for these characters. This is a steamy novel worth picking up this season.

This book was a sequel but I did not feel lost at all despite not reading the previous book. Quick cute book reminiscent of a hallmark Christmas movie. It was a fun light hearted read with the perfect holiday setting.

A Lot Like Christmas is a wonderful, sweet romance with tons of chemistry and a solid happy ending.
Jess is a small town baker who has been unlucky in love but lucky for other men who find their future spouses immediately after dating her. Mitch is a physician with Doctors Without Borders who is home for the holidays and is determined to never settle down. But the two of them meet and are so drawn to each other that they find a way to make it work.
I liked the two main characters a lot, they are good people with a lot of heart. I liked Jess's friends and Mitch's family so much, they exude small town charm. And the ending was very satisfying while also being realistic.
Trigger warning- there is the description of a traumatic event in Cambodia that is upsetting, so be warned.

This was a festive holiday read that I would recommend!
I received an e-ARC of this book from the publisher.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.
This is the second novel in Jennifer Snow’s new Blue Moon Bay series. A Lot Like Christmas is a whirlwind Christmas romance telling the story of Jessica and Mitch. Jessica has lived in Blue Moon Bay all her life - never traveling but opening a highly successful bakery. Mitch grew up in Blue Moon Bay but left to complete medical school and then follow his dreams of traveling the world with Doctors without Borders. Jessica becomes the butt of the town jokes where men fall in love after dating her. With a big business desperate to buy her bakery she finds herself at a crossroads. Mitch is on leave after a horrid experience at his last posting and is home to recover.
Like the previous book the characters felt real and the dialogue was fun. The story was really well written and sweet but I did miss the more adult content. Jessica's character was really great and I loved seeing her thought process change throughout the story about what she wanted her life to be. I really love the dynamic and relationship between Jessica and her best friends (Whitney and Sarah). The ending was really good and a wonderful compromise as I was concerned how it would all reconcile in the end.
Definite a book that I couldn’t put down and a lovely read for the Christmas season!
Can’t wait to read the next in the series and read Whitney's story!!!!!

Thank you @entangled_publishing @Netgalley for this Christmas romance. I love that it’s a fictional small coastal California town and that everyone knows everyone. I appreciate that both Jessica and Mitch came into each other lives when they were both at crossroads with their lives. Their chemistry was great and the holiday events in the town was fun. My only gripe with this book is the geography of California, Big Bear is not in NorCal. I don’t know why geography accuracies bugs me so much.

I loved revisiting Blue Moon Bay, immersing myself into the lives of Mitch and Jess, a story that both pulls at the heartstrings and delivers on believing in love!
Mitch and Jess take their time to let a relationship develop, will they get a happy ever after? The characters and feel good vibes throughout this wonderful book will keep you entertained until the end!
Thanks to Entangled Publishing, NetGalley and Jennifer Snow for the opportunity to read this heartwarming book!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Slow start to the story - but very heart warming tale, Jessica feels like she is cursed - every man she dates and breaks up with finds their true love within the next year, Jessica feels like there are no reasons to stay in Blue Moon Bay anymore (all the eligible men are either too old, or she has dated them. Mitch has just returned from his latest assignment with Doctors without Boarders - haunted by what he witnessed in Cambodia.
Neither Mitch or Jessica expect to meet "the one person they are destined to marry" . Mitch is the older brother to Jessica's dearest friends. Mitch only expects to be with his family through 12/24 and then leave for his next assignment in the wee early hours of Christmas day.
Jessica runs the local bakery - she has been receiving several offers from a large corporation to buy her store out - but she is not sure she wants to sell. If she sell her bakery it could affect her aunt's craft store and other business in the area.
Little do Mitch or Jessica know that they will be emotionally bowelled over with each other after the 25 days of Christmas ends.
I don't want to give the ending away - it is a wonderful Christmas story - Hallmark like.

I absolutely adored this book! This is the second book in a series, but it's a companion series so this can be read as a standalone. I would recommend you read A Lot Like Love first since a lot of the characters are in this one.
This follows Jess in her hometown where she has great friends and family, but hasn't been lucky in love. There's an interesting reveal at a wedding of her ex early on in the book that gives you a little more backstory of her past relationships. Enter Mitch, who is the older brother of one of Jess's friends Lia. He's back home from a Doctors Without Borders trip to Cambodia. He has some memories he's dealing with from his last mission, and is hoping to rest and refresh before going back on Christmas.
Mitch and Jess run into each other and there's an instant connection (or reconnection) between them. They haven't seen each other in years. Even though they have a limited time frame of about 3 weeks, they decide to explore the spark and companionship between them.
I loved seeing the two of them together and bringing out the best in each other, or just leaning on the other one. I feel like they grow with each other throughout the course of this book.
They also both have big decisions to make in their personal lives, as well as trying to figure out if this relationship can last more than the 3 weeks they had together between Mitch's missions.
I highly recommend this one, and it would be perfect to cozy up with this winter season.
I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this small town Christmas romance by Jennifer Snow; it was the right mix of sweet and sexiness as well as emotion.
Jessica is known Blue Moon Bay’s good luck wedding charm after she dates a guy he goes on to marry the next girl he dates and because she’s the only baker in town she end up having to bake their wedding cake. She’s beginning to think she needs to move on, but leaving the town she grew up and the friends that mean so much to her, not to mention her family makes it almost impossible for her to consider even with an offer to buy the bakery from a large chain. Then Mitch, one of her friend’s big brother walks in to pick up an order for his mom and sparks fly.
While Mitch knows he needs to spend time with his family during the holidays as he’s on a break from his last Doctors Without Borders assignment, he can’t say he’s all that thrilled. However when he sees Jessica when on an errand for his mom, he begins to think the break at home won’t be so bad.
Despite Mitch being in town for just a short while, they don’t immediately jump into bed together. I found it interesting that despite the heat between them Jessica wanted to wait and Mitch was okay with that. They spent some time getting to know one another with Mitch being 10 years older than Jessica and his sister; he really didn’t know her well. They both seemed to fall quickly but for them it worked. They complemented each other perfectly. Jessica was interested in Mitch’s work and respected why he felt the need to do it, yet because of Jessica’s volunteer work for local charities he saw that there was need right at home.
A Lot Like Christmas was an enjoyable, holiday story filled with laughter, romance, and love.

This had the makings of a movie to me. I really identified with Jessica in that she was all heart. She was passionate and truly cared for her friends and family. Admittedly, I found Mitch to be a bit of a pill at first; I found myself feeling like he was taking advantage of Jessica for a good time, like she was just convenient for him. I tend to shy away from books with characters like this, but I ultimately enjoyed the story and found myself wanting to know more about the peripheral characters. This is part of series, so I look forward to trying some more of the Blue Moon Bay books! I received and e-ARC, but these are my thoughts and opinions.

The insta love was a little too much for me in this book. Instantly holding hands and wanting to kiss each other within the first date. Yeah, not my cup of tea.
I really wish the whole good luck charm for her ex-boyfriends to find their happily ever after was . Talked about it in the beginning and woosh it was gone. The beginning is what really captivated me towards this book and then it fell flat with kinda a different story line.
All in all this was like a adult Christmas Hallmark movie that gave you the feel goods in the end.

A Lot Like Christmas is the best kind of feel-good, sexy, sweet, holiday romance read. I love Christmas and this book gave me all the warm, fuzzy feels and placed me in the holiday spirit. The characters are easy to love because they are such incredible people both individually and together. A Lot Like Christmas brought me Hallmark feel-good - feelings plus that added heat factor we all need and want to. This book is a must-read and hopefully enjoyed by all!

I was so excited to have the opportunity to read Jennifer Snows second book, A Lot Like Christmas, in her Blue Moon Bay series. I read book one, A Lot Like Love, this summer and absolutely adored it. Jennifer Snow writes in such a way that I felt like I was there in real time watching a sweet love story unfold between Jessica and Mitch.
Jessica and Mitch both grew up in Blue Moon Bay. But Mitch left and Jessica stayed. Jessica runs a successful bakery in town and has a full life involved in the community and the lives of her three best friends and her beloved aunt Frankie. Jessica has never left Blue Moon Bay and has always wonder if she should explore other horizons as she seems to have a terrible time finding a partner In Blue Moon Bay. So when an out of town company wants to buy her little bake shop, Jessica is tempted to sell and move on and explore life outside of her sweet little town.
Mitch on the other hand left Blue Moon Bay to follow his dream of being a doctor for Doctors Without Borders. After a difficult assignment in Cambodia, Mitch returns home for a three week Christmas stay to recuperate before his next trip back to Cambodia. Mitch is dreading going home and not feeling in the Christmas spirit at all. That is until he bumps into Jessica at her bakery. Sparks fly, but both Jessica and Mitch know this will be a Christmas fling and promise not to fall in love!
Such a happy sweet feel good Christmas novel. Thank you Jennifer Snow, NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

Jessica's realizing she's pretty lucky when it comes to love but only towards the peoples she's dating finding their true love after her. Its become a thing that everyone knows about and she's not happy about it. Now they got some guy trying to buy her and her neighbors business at high price and she's not sure what to do. Dr. Mitch is back from Cambodia for a doctors without borders program and is left with some PSTD this time and really needs some down time before going off again. Little did he expect a holiday romance, and unfortunately for Jessica this romance comes with a deadline since he never really sticks for long.
I really enjoyed this holiday book. I mean the characters were interesting and really dealing with some stuff. I mean Mitch has so much conflict about his job that left him with a few issues but he loves nothing more then his job until coming back home. There seems to be so much more for him now that he's back home for a short while and decisions should be made because its more then just him that will be impacted by what's going on. Then theres Jessica who just keeps making wedding cakes for her ex's and I just love what she did to her most recent. There plenty going on with her and now finally she's found someone who she's really interested in and you can't help but want for her to finally get the love she deserves. I really enjoyed this book it was easy to get sucked into this book and have a decent amount of interest in the characters. If you are here for the holiday spirit while this book does take place during the holiday season there was very little cheer for that part but if you like a good contemporary romance that takes place during holiday season check this one out.

Okay, so it might be a bit early for Christmas reads, but hey, I just couldn't resist.
Fall is my favourite season and I love to snuggle up under a blanket with a cup of tea and a cozy Christmas themed love story.
"A Lot Like Christmas" by Jennifer Gold is the second book I've read by the author and I just knew I was in for a treat. Thank you so much @negalley and @entangled_publishing for the arc in exhange for my honest review.
Jessica Connolly has done well for herself. Owning a flourishing bakery in Blue Moon Bay, surrounded by a tight group of friends and a lovely community the only thing missing from her life is romance.
Spending her days creating the most wonderful wedding cakes for her clients, she secretly longs for her own Mr Right to appear.
Knowing just about every man in town Jess is aware that the chances of meeting the love of her life there are slim. That is until Dr. Mitch Jameson strolls into her bakery one day.
Mitch is always on the go, travelling the world working for Doctors Without Borders he has just returned from a particularly hard job in Cambodja. He's only briefly in town to see his family for Christmas.
Mitch's charm and good looks sweep Jess right off her feet and the feelings are mutual. Mitch is instantly attracted to Jess whom he recognizes as the childhood friend of his sister Lia.
He hasn't seen her in years and is amazed by how she's changed.
Although sparks are flying, both Mitch and Jess fear their blooming romance can only end in heartbreak as Mitch's departure is imminent and Jess' life is pretty much set in Blue Moon Bay....
Lots of love for this sweet and sexy small town Christmas romance.
