I requested to read and review this book for free from Entangled Publishing. This is a cute 2nd book in the series by author Jennifer Snow. But it can easily be read without the first book. You will have fall in love with sweet baker that cares alot about her friends Jess. Mitch is someone who loves to help out as much as you can. When two people collide that live on opposite sides of of world. Is it really love or infatuation? Can you still have your dream and goals if they aren't the same. Does someone really need to do an ultimate sacrifice to maybe make things work? This book is for a mature reader but can be ready anywhere.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. In this 2nd installment of the Blue Moon Bay Series, Each book in the Blue Moon Bay series is STANDALONE:
* A Lot Like Love
* A Lot Like Christmas

So don’t pass this along because it’s the 2nd book in a series, since it can be read a a stand-alone. A Lot Like Christmas is a cozy, charming Christmas romance. I found myself once again swooning over the town of Blue Moon Bay. I absolutely loved both of these characters and their chemistry. Jessica runs a bakery in Blue Moon Bay and Mitch is a Doctor working with Doctors Without Borders and is visiting his family during Christmas. Both main characters were well developed and truly like able.

In this 2nd installment of the Blue Moon Bay Series, we meet Jessica the baker.
Always the wedding cake bake baker, never the bride. She has the bad of of dating a guy and after they break up, the guy meets his one and only to settle down with. Jess has pretty much run out of hope.

After a rough session with Doctors without Borders, Mitch comes to his old home town to decompress and see his family. He has a dark cloud hanging over him and is just not in the holiday spirit. Then he goes to Jess's bakery.

Jess remembers Mitch because she was good friends with his younger sister. There is instant chemistry between these two, but also an expiration date.

The feelings are so real and intense in this story that they practically lift off the pages of this book. I found myself caught up in the emotions they were experiencing. It's a story about decisions and which ones are the right ones.

I really fell in love with these characters.

Thank you to Net Galley for the advance copy

Title: A Lot Like Christmas
Author: Jennifer Snow
Publication date: September 28th, 2021
Series: Blue Moon Bay #2

Summary: This Christmas season, love comes where you least expect it.

For Jessica Connolly, there is no better place than her coastal hometown of Blue Moon Bay. She has a wonderful family, supportive best friends, and a successful bakery on Main Street. Unfortunately, every time she designs one of her ex-boyfriends' wedding cakes, she's reminded just how unlucky she is with love...and that she's a good luck charm for men to find their happily ever after. With someone else. The minute they break up. So she's decided to be done with love.

Dr. Mitch Jameson is more comfortable traveling the world with Doctors Without Borders than staying in one place. He just needs to survive the holidays in his small hometown before he can leave again. The beautiful, intriguing bakery owner with an aversion to dating might be just who he needs to occupy his restless heart.

From sipping hot chocolates at the local festival of lights to early morning dessert deliveries, Jessica and Mitch rediscover the spirit of the holidays. But when the 25 days of Christmas are over, will their romance be over, too?

Each book in the Blue Moon Bay series is STANDALONE:
* A Lot Like Love
* A Lot Like Christmas

Review: I really enjoy Jennifer's writing. Her writing is sweet and not overly sexual. Which is something I need sometimes. I'm hoping it gets me out of my reading slump after reading two not so good books. I really recommend this book if you're looking for a palette cleanser or you just love sweet romance. I'm going to use my KU for the other book in this series, it is my favorite series of the two I've read so far.

A Lot Like Christmas is a cozy, charming Christmas romance. I found myself once again swooning over the town of Blue Moon Bay. Jessica has a curse, everyone she dates marries the person they date after her. As a baker and romantic she's frustrated with baking for other peoples wedding and wants her own happily ever after. She's given up on finding someone in her small town until Dr. Mitch Jameson comes back to town. He's a doctor for Doctors Without Borders who's just home for the holidays. They reconnect and sparks fly! I loved their relationship, it was sweet and sexy! Mitch is so charming you can't help but fall in love with him as a reader! I really enjoy this series and hope get to more from this cute town!

Jessica Connolly has a great life in Blue Moon Bay. Great family and friends and her own bakery. The only thing missing is a someone in her life. All the guys she had a relationships with are finding true love and getting married. As she makes their wedding cakes she wonders if she will ever have one. Dr Mitch Jamison has travelled the world with Doctors Without Borders and loves his work. He has returned home to spend the holiday but plans to leave again on Christmas Day. When he sees Jessica in the bakery he is instantly attracted to her even though he is older. Jessica feels the same, but worries because his sister is her friend and that Mitch is only going to be home for the holidays and gone again. Will they be able to fight the attraction?

Thanks to Jennifer Snow and Entangled Publishing

Pastry shop owner meets flighty doctor, a sweet beginning and an even sweeter ending!
Jess is a successful, small town pastry shop owner looking to break her bad luck with relationships, especially after everybody in town, including her ex's claim she is their lucky charm to finding their one true love. Jess has to evaluate her life and ultimately decide if this small town is just too small for her to find her happily ever after.
Mitch, a flighty doctor, is home for the holidays after a horrible ending to his latest mission with Doctors Without Borders. Mitch has no desire to settle down and find roots in a single location, he's all about traveling and seeing the world while helping others. When he meets Jess, there is an unexpected pull to her that he didn't see coming and believes will be a short fling while he's in town.
I really enjoyed the writing style of this author and the build up of the story; I will definitely be looking to read more of her books in the future!

I really like Jennifer Snow’s novels. One of the best things is the settings, especially when the location is Alaska. A Lot Like Christmas is a charming novel. Jessica is fed up with her exes finding their happily ever after and she provides the wedding cakes. I thought one of the first scenes at an ex’s wedding was hilarious. Of course when she least expects it, Dr. Mitch blows into town and knocks her apron. I did wonder as I read, what decisions would be made concerning her future and his. It’s a cute read.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Jessica can't believe that her three previous boyfriend hire her to make their wedding cakes. Jessica is feeling lonely living in her small town with Christmas approaching. She does meet Mitch who is a doctor but travels alot. This book will put you in the holiday spirit.

This was such a great story to read, I love anything to do with Christmas and this one has plenty of Christmas with a whole lot of romance!! The attraction between Mitch and Jessica is sizzling but neither intends to fall in love....famous last words! lol The decisions they need to make as Christmas gets closer made me want to bite my nails, I can't even imagine having to make these type of life changing decisions!

I really enjoyed Jennifer Snow's style of writing and her characters were wonderful, even the secondary characters. I will definitely be looking for more books by this author!!

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I liked Jessica and Mitch's story. Meeting each other made them consider their safe choices or move on to a new adventure. Love. The first wedding is worth reading this book. Hilarious!

This was such an easy, quick read - and though I read it in the middle of the summer instead of around Christmas time, that didn’t tamper any of my enjoyment. It was cute, Jess and Mitch had great chemistry, and the plot overall was classically Christmassy without a whole lot of drama packed in (which was a good thing!)

The story of Jessica and Mitch.
He is only in town for a few weeks, and they end up spending time together while he is there, knowing each other already through his sister.
Mitch has never wanted to settle down and have a home base, but will all that change now he has met someone special?
A great festive read.
