A deeply challenging examination of life with chronic illness. I honestly don't think anyone could read this book without being touched at a deep level. Recommended.

As a sufferer of a chronic invisible illness I was interested in this book. Flic Manning has lived a life that is anything but traditional. With the odds stacked against her, facing incurable invisible diseases and mental health issues, she has walked the path less traveled to embrace the power she believes we all have inside no matter what complexities we face.

In this wellness memoir, Flic takes us through her deeply personal journey, from struggling with pain and illness as a dancer to finding her voice and stepping into her most human, raw, and powerful self as an entrepreneur and wellness advocate. Her story contains nuggets of wellness and mindset wisdom wrapped up in lessons from her journey that are sometimes dark, other times deeply funny, and always inspiring. You will be uplifted, but you will also discover the sustainable wellness steps you can take to make your life a profound and healthy one.

An incredibly inspiring journey through the author’s chronic illness. Living Human is told with unflinching honesty, highlighting the lesser known effects of chronic illness and the difficulties on what it’s like living with an invisible illness. Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author, for a chance to read and review this book!

I enjoy this book. It’s sort of part memoir and part self-help. Flic Manning uses so many things to cope with her chronic illness. Recommend to anyone, especially with chronic illness or other things.

A beautiful memoir about life, struggles, rising up and doing what we like in our life. Loved evey part of the book.

A memoir/self-help book by a woman living with IBS and Chron's Disease. Many disclosures of constant physical and psychic pain, both as a result of her illnesses and the misogynistic medical establishment. However, much of the writing was redundant and was not engaging to me.
