I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. A good novel. A great weekend read.

I loved this quirky love story set in New York. The characters had just chemistry and were both relatable.

I was so excited to read this - I’ve enjoyed listening to Kate on Forever 35 for a long time. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed it a lot! Looking forward to any other books she writes.

It starts off being the worst day ever for the main character, Franny. She loses her job, the doors to the subway rip off her dress, and she is left awkwardly naked in front of the entire subway. Thankfully a stranger comes to her rescue, offering his jacket to cover up. After a stranger unknowingly films the encounter, a news channel gets the two back together and sparks fly.

I was given a copy of this story to read; but thoughts and opinions are all my own. Thank you to Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the chance to read this book!

Cute quick read. Nothing spectacular, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Interested to see more from this author!

I loved this one! The author drew me in with funny characters and a quirky little love story. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two charters and it had just the right amount of steam.

Okay- so I liked it but I think it fell flat for me in a couple of ways.

I really enjoyed Franny- she is bold and loud and exuberant and fun. So many things that I liked about her. On the flip side- Hayes was a man in a Gucci suit and not much more to me. He could have been any romantic hero in any book really.

I think their meet cute #subwayqts- was my favorite part of the book and then the rest just leveled out. I am not a huge fan of a fade to black moment- I know many are but I tend to find it as a cop out.

I appreciated the chance to check this out. I enjoyed parts but obviously others fell flat. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the opportunity to check this one out!

I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy, light read. I like how it sounds very modern, as it incorporates many internet and social media topics - which it doesn't always happen even on new books.
I am giving it 4 stars as I think the end could have included an Epilogue to show how the characters were after X amount of time, and really tie the end of the story for all characters. Also, sometimes some of the decisions the characters made were hard for me to relate to.
But overall I thought it was a pleasant story, with nice characters.

SYNOPSIS

Franny hears a ripping noise and knows today is going to get so much worse! Enter Hayes, who takes off his suit jacket in order to cover Franny.

A stranger catches the whole incident on social media and it goes viral! People are rooting for them to be together, but Franny knows Hayes is not the one for her.

REVIEW

I was laughing from the first chapter of this book. I felt so bad for Franny but the disaster meet is both cute and hysterical! I loved being able to read from Hayes's perspective too because it showed how much both of them were struggling with their viral romance. I always like when you get to read both sides's in a romance as they begin to fall for each other too.

I loved this one! I had it on my shelf for sometime and finally dove in. The cutest meet cute you can find in the pages of a book! Great banter and chemistry between the two MC’s. The traditional romCOM and let me tell you, I needed everything this book offered!

What a fun paean to New York City! Spencer loves the city, and it shows. I am glad to see a first The opens with the heroine getting fired from her interior design startup and worried about how she was now going to subsist in the hideously expensive city. The hero is this uptight wealthy heir to a business with his bespoke suits. The hero is kind and wonderful. She is sassy and artsy. Chalk and cheese. They meet on the subway, when the back of her dress gets caught in the doors and rips straight down her back. He jumps in to the rescue with his suit jacket. Their whole interaction is caught on a stealth video that becomes a hashtag viral sensation. Someone finds their identity, and they are thrown together again and again. A quick, light read.

Review will be published on Cogitations & Meditations later this month at http://keirasoleore.blogspot.com.

This is one of the best romances I've ever read, and I've read a lot of romances. The main character was so so likable, and the circumstances of the burgeoning romance seemed realistic but also unique to a city like New York. The love interest was quite literally my dream man, so I particularly enjoyed getting to read how their romance developed. I am anxiously anticipating the next book from this author!

I loved this one so much! The story of Franny and Hayes was sweet, fun and so nice! I loved the way Hayes opens up to Franny and the way Franny discovers more about herself. I adored the setting on Manhattan. This was so amazing!

This was the perfect romcom if it was a movie, but as a book, I was bored. Nothing about this book surprised or delighted me. This would be a perfect romance novel for someone just getting into reading. The “sexy” scenes are fade-to-black and the romance is sweet. I had a good time, but also I was bored because I just always knew what was coming.

Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book.

I will read any book that takes place in New York. Something about that city pulls me in every single time (and I haven’t even been there before!!) I think Sex & the City made ⁣

Things I loved:⁣
-the cutest of all meet cutes…on a NYC subway of course⁣
-loved the use of social media, and viral stories ⁣
-two POV, both with excellent narrations on audio⁣
-the friendship between Franny, Cleo and Lola⁣
-loved Hayes the buttoned up, well off Gucci wearing businessman - who seems a bit standoffish but is actually just a bit awkward and super sweet ⁣

Things that weren’t my favourite:⁣
-I think the beginning was just so strong so it made me have high hopes for the rest, but unfortunately I got a bit bored in the middle⁣

3.5⭐️

I loved the cover, loved the premise, loved the banter and descriptions…but then it fell a little flat for me. I didn’t feel an extreme amount of love from Franny and Hayes so I never connected to the story.

It’s been a while since I read a “meet-cute” and this was such as easy breezy read. This is a rom-com about a woman that meets a guy in the worst way possible on what is practically the worst day of her life & someone just happened to catch it on video and of course it goes viral!! Definitely not a good day for her. and for some reason, fate keeps bringing them together and they realize that they may actually enjoy each others company. This was such a light read with some lovely flirtation. Reading this made me feel like i was actually in NY and I absolutely loved that. If you’re looking for a light and fun read, this is the one!

In a New York Minute was a lot of fun! It followed a young woman, Franny, who has recently lost her job and proceeded to follow up her private humiliation with a very public humiliation by tearing her dress on the subway in front of a whole car full of people. Luckily, Hayes quickly steps in to alleviate the situation in whatever way he can and gives her his jacket to cover up. Franny and Hayes both think the whole exchange is behind them until the next day when someone who saw the interaction posted about it to social media and thus #SubwayQTs went viral.

Forced into an uncomfortable romance that is front of the whole media, Hayes and Franny start to figure out they are better off not dating. Hayes ends up instead hiring Franny to be his interior decorator for his new office. However, after many days of getting to know each other further and many nights getting the office ready for its grand opening - maybe fate knew what it was doing after all.

I had a ton of fun reading this one, it was just the right amount of romance to drama to real life/relatable situations!

Some have meet cutes, others have meet disasters as with Franny and Hayes aka hot suit. But this disaster just happens to go viral on a random passengers Instagram stories which forces them back together to have a first "date" on television where Franny also impulsively decides to start her own interior design company that Hayes then employs to design their new office. Not to mention Frannys best friend starts dating Hayes cousin. These two can't stay away from each other which obviously means it's just meant to be.
I loved following their story and how they finally came together!

This book gave me late 90s rom-com vibes. There's just something about a NYC set rom-com. I adored Kate's writing and thought this was unputdownable.
