Thank you to NetGalley for sending this proof read over for the new Sally Rooney book. The first chapter of the book is full of love, romance and full bodied characters. I can’t wait to read the whole novel.

A great snippet of the much-hyped latest Sally Rooney release and from the taste I got in the one chapter provided, it is not going to disappoint. It's character-driven and well developed. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the book!

A beautiful insight in to this new novel...one chapter was not enough and I need more!
I can't wait to read more from Rooney and her exquisite words.

This was my least favorite Sally Rooney book. I really find her writing to bee so immersive and sensory, but I found I couldn't really get on board with much of the story and the characters. Though you expect unlikable characters in a Sally Rooney novel, at no point did I find myself rooting for either of the main characters and I especially didn't root for them together.

I do find that once I pick up a Sally Rooney book, I can't really put it down and even after I finish it, it takes over my brain for about a week and that was definitely true of this one. While not my favorite, I am glad I read it!

Thanks to NetGalley and Faber & Faber for the ARC.

Amazing premise - can't wait to read the full book! This is Sally Rooney at her greatest, I can already tell; I feel invested in these characters even though I've only just met them!

Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In all honesty, I wasn't too keen on Ordinary People. This book for me was the same. I found the characters rather annoying and the story bland. There's always one.

As usual Rooney’s character pull you in and make you want to tread more. Just the first chapter but I am excited for reading the rest of this book written in Rooney’s signature writing style.

Just a tease, the opening chapter of Sally Rooney’s third novel. The style is familiar but I feel dropped in the middle of the ocean in the narrative. So excited to finish!

I enjoyed reading the extract and it made me crave for more. Having already read the previous books from Sally, I am sure I am going to enjoy the rest of the book.

Exactly what you'd expect from Sally Rooney - engrossing, sparse prose, and intricately drawn characters.

Beautiful World, Where are You, by Sally Rooney is a story of 4 twenty something’s trying to find their way in life. Alive is a novelist, who is very successful, she meets Felix, who works in a warehouse. Complete opposite’s but something sparks between them!! Alice needs to go to Rome, for work and invites Felix. Meanwhile in Dublin, Eileen, Alice’s best friend is getting over a break up and reconnecting with an old school friend, Simon. Eileen & Simon have been friends forever and didn’t know love could be right in front of them. They are all a bit cynical and have had their hang ups and problems. Sally Rooney, tells such a great story about such a important time in life. When friendships can make or break you, paying bills and living a good life.. Which makes the reader wonder can they find a beautiful life?

i really liked it, made me listen to the whole audiobook a few weeks later !
the whole book sadly wasn’t as good
it just fell flat for me as I didn’t really connect to the characters and the story at all… I know sally rooneys novels don’t have much happening in them and that’s the interesting thing about them but this was really not my type of book.

A much loved author of mine, this was so teasing as it was only an extract and definitely left me wanting more! I have bought the book and I just know I will love it

Oh dear. I was very excited about this, having loved Sally Rooney previous novels. But, I could not get into this at all and in fact, didn't finish it.

I found it slow and dull. We know this has been a big hit so I am aware my inability to finish it is down to my own reading tastes.

My first Sally Rooney but definitely not my last. Her writing style is incredible and i adored the emails between the two women. There is a reason this book is so popular. It shows how important it is to make connections.

A classic Rooney. Some people haven't loved this book, but I feel I know what I'm getting with a Sally Rooney novel, and this is exactly it - and I love it! Complex relationships that definitely frustrate the reader at times, but an honest and vulnerable feeling comes through. I'll continue to read everything that Rooney writes!

"Typical" Sally Rooney, for better or for worse. It's more searching than her previous work, more explicit in its attempts at philosophizing.

This is quite a difficult book to review due to
the lack of a storyline or engaging characters. I am a huge fan of Sally Rooney, but found this book quite challenging. The novel is based on the lives of four people who all have different relationships with each other. All have flaws and none are particularly interesting.
Sally Rooney is a very talented writer and can describe the most banal situation in great detail, but that skill did not make this book enjoyable enough for me.

Wow, this preview got me even more excited to read this book. I truly love Sally's writing and the realistic approach that she takes. The characters as in her previous novels, feel relatable and I cannot wait to read this book. Thank you to Netgalley and Faber & Faber for the ARC preview.
