Wow. A haunting, dark, important second novel by Erin Stewart that demands to be read in classrooms, by mental health professionals and folks like me (who have been through treatment and get it).

I went through treatment this summer for my own mental health issues and Erin Stewart GETS it. It's hard to come back and expect to be fixed. It's hard for those around us, too, like Lily and her family. I thought the portrayal of Alice was realistic and true. I loved the inclusion of Lily's poetry and her own mental health struggles (very accurate!).

This book is a tough read and would be perfect for fans of Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone, and Jennifer Niven's books.
