This was a really interesting read with it being the second of a series. Full of action Samantha Wades through trials and tribulations. It was action packed but a quick easy read with a good balance between scifi and relatable (as it can be). I enjoyed reading this book although some areas I didn't connect with iI was always kept on my toes.

Abel's writing style is definitely an acquired taste. His webpage indicates a long successful career
in both the military and in the fields of finance. His new works of speculative fiction are published by Indigo River Press, one of newer independent publishers in America.

Intended for a YA audience, Kidnappers is a sequel to Defenders of Time. While fast paced, the characterizations are simplistic. The dialogue is wooden. To be honest, this novel reads as if it was created in the 1950's and never up dated. Perhaps it might serve for high interest low vocabulary readers, or for English as a second language classes. Otherwise I do not see a good market for tired visions of what the future might be..

Full disclosure: I received this ARC from netgalley and Indigo River Press in exchange for an unbiased review.

Not bad. I didn't like this as much as Abel's Going Back, but this will probably be enjoyed by some time traveler book fans. There's plenty of drama and suspense.

Thanks very much for the ARC for review!
