This is the first book in the Ravenwood Coven series and I can't wait for the next. Carrie Ann didn't pull any punches in this dark but heart warming paranormal romance. Each chapter provided a shocking revelation and set up the next two books for even more intrigue. Sage and Rome are meant to be and will make this trilogy another best seller. A not to be missed book for paranormal lovers and Carrie Ann Ryan fans.

This was a fun and interesting read. I liked the idea that there was a secret town where the supernatural all lived together and they didn't have to hide from the rest of the town. I enjoyed the characters and the relationships that are being built in this 1st book of a series. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there wasn't a good sense of time. It seemed like the main character had just gotten to the town when all of a sudden she mentions that she had been there months. There is no sense of the passage of time. I also would've liked to have gotten to know some of the characters better. I have no idea what the characters really look like beyond basic superficial things. I have no idea how old the characters are meant to be either. Are the witches young or old? How old are the main characters? While the story was very readable and fun I felt like there were basic things that got left out to further the plot. I think this book could've been longer to flesh those things out and still be entertaining and very readable because the world was so fun. I will definitely be reading more of this series.

Well once I realised that Carrie was writing a new paranormal series I was definitely happy to jump on board. This time it's more a story about Witches but fear not we get Shifters and Fae too in the secretive town of Ravenwood.
This book begins with Sage determined to make a new life for herself in the town where her Aunt lives. Sage has experienced awful tragedy and loss but has no idea that her life is about to change in dramatic ways. She arrives as a freak storm descends and helps a man cut down by the storm but Rome is no ordinary man because Rome shifts into an alpha Bear and that is not the only shock in store for Sage.
As usual this author writes characters that are vivid and honestly I just wanted to give Sage a hug . This book is a romance and honestly Rome makes a delicious leading man but I think I found the supporting characters so intriguing that I am already clamouring for the next book. This is going to be a series that I feel should be read in order and I very much look forward to learning more about these fascinating characters and the strange goings on in their town.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I really enjoyed this new world ;) Love me some witches!

There is a lot going on in this book, and at times it feels like a little too much, but it is an enjoyable read and kicks of what is sure to be an interesting series!
