Really interesting storyline that gripped me from the first chapter. Domestic thriller with a touch of pandemic, yes please! Would definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this book. Unfortunately, this one did not work out for me and I was unable to finish. I hope many others will enjoy it!
When I had requested The Violence, I do not think I knew what I was in for. Every once in awhile I like to read a book without reading the synopsis or reviews. I want to have an unbiased opinion while reading. This is exactly what I did with this novel.
This was my first book by Delilah S. Dawson, and I can say with confidence that it will not be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. The plot was done with perfection , the character development was done with precision, and the narration was flawless.
I would highly recommend this novel to fans of thrillers/horror.
Chelsea Martin, along with daughters Ella and Brooklyn are under the abusive thumb of her mercurial husband. Chelsea can see no way out, until a new pandemic occurs inciting people to become violent. .
Part pandemic story but mostly a story about the change and growth of Chelsea, her narcissistic mother, Patricia, and her daughter Ella. Unusual plot.
Delilah Dawson again proves she's excellent across genres. A recommended purchase for most adult fiction collections.
Wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this, but I really enjoyed The Violence. It played well in today’s current events. Not going to give to much away, but my favorite character was Patty. I loved her evolution!
