*Thank you so much NetGalley for sending me an eARC in exchange for an honest review* I devoured this book! Holy cow, I was addicted from the start. I'm just so in love with Hannah and Fox. I'm so glad we were able to get a book on their romance.
I preferred this book to 'It Happened One Summer'. It read differently and I enjoy more of a slow-burn romance. Also, Fox is just more interesting lol The characters were relatable and entertaining. I honestly loved this book! If you enjoyed 'It Happened One Summer' I'm sure you'll appreciate this one as well.
My only complaint would be the dialogue. I had this same issue with the first book. A lot of it can come off cheesy at times (especially during the spicy scenes). It doesn't take away from the story though! This is just personal preference.

Where to begin? (1) Everyone should stan Tessa Bailey for clear skin. (2) Sequels usually disappoint but this ONE SLAPS JUST AS HARD AS THE FIRST. (3) Am I joining to the friends-to-lovers train? If so, I am happy to be part of the club.
This book!!! Wow, the angst, the tension, the friendship, the tenderness, the STEAM. I was so excited that I got approved to read this novel because I was completely obsessed (still am) with It Happened One Summer, and when the author announced that Hannah would get her own book, I could not contain my excitement.
This book follows best friends Hannah and Fox on their journey to finally realizing they are made for each other. We got see glimpses of their budding friendship and hints of something more going on between them in the first book, and it was EVERYTHING. I love angst and mutual pinning and this book did not hold back. I love how they just understand each other and protect one another and look at each other like they hung the moon. They are mutual simps and I am here for it.
Fox and Hannah are both so imperfectly perfect and human and actually talk to each other when something is wrong or a "plot twist" appears. The amount of miscommunication in this book is zero because they actually communicate. I was actually waiting for the "miscommunication trope" that happens in most books, especially friend-to-lovers, to come but it never did. They are so open with each other (and guarded at times), but they talk about their reservations and insecurities and try to work it out. Beware, this is a SLOW BURN (but no complaints, I love a good slow burn).
I had a fantastic time reading this book, and I cannot wait to dive into Tessa Bailey's backlist and highly anticipate more new releases.
Thank you, Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley, for providing me with this ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy) in exchange for an honest review.

HOLY WOW. I swear ever since I read It Happened One Summer I have become a Tessa Bailey addict! I just can’t get enough of her writing. I was so excited for Hannah & Fox’s story & man did it not disappoint. I honestly don’t even know where to begin. This is a perfect acquaintances turned best friends to lovers with so much sexual tension & angst. Hannah comes to visit for a little & ends up crashing at Fox’s place. While she’s there she convinces him to help give her guy advice so she can impress & bed her coworker she has had a crush on for forever. With Fox being a major ladies man he has lots of experience in that area. The hangar & playfulness of these two is perfection. I really loved getting to watch them fall for each together. I also really was happy with how Fox discovered that he didn’t want Hannah going after someone else… & that he didn’t want a revolving door of women anymore. I can’t say enough good things about this book or this series - just read it! I promise you will not be disappointed.

. I didn’t think this book would be able to top It Happened One Summer, but it did. It sooooo did.
Super sweet, slow burning, pining, friends to lovers goodness that hit so close to my heart I was sobbing at the end!
Full review to come when we get closer to release date, but seriously, pre-order now!!! It’s so freaking good!
Thank you Avon for the ARC of this book!

I was super excited to read this book. I’ve read a few books by this author and LOVED them.
I went into this book not realizing it was actually book 2 in the series, but it still worked well as a stand alone.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved Hannah’s personality. She is sweet and funny and so considerate. I love how she tried to find her way throughout the book.
Fox was… sigh. I love Fox. He struggled with being labeled as only “a good time”. It hurt seeing what people thought of him and how he had to deal with it.
The writing was amazing. The story was good. I didn’t connect with the characters as well as I hoped, but the story was still enjoyable.
Thank you for the ARC!

I really enjoyed this book, the second in the Bellinger sisters series. I am glad I picked it up on the strength of the first book and not on the synopsis. That back-cover summary not do this story justice--or perhaps, in trying to summarize, it relies on tropes rather than letting the delightful messiness of Fox and Hannah's relationship shine through.
I read this back-to-back with It Happened One Summer, and the seeds for Fox and Hannah's relationship are planted there. What's nice about those first glimpse of Fox and Hannah together in that book, and again in the first chapter here, is that the two are clearly friends. (I love a good epistolary section to show a friendship developing.) And yes, there is burgeoning love there, too, but that friendship is what helps them to stick with each other even when things get hard.
Fox and Hannah, who've been apart for about half a year, reunite in this book because Hannah has managed to get the film she's working on as a PA relocated to Westport, the little WA state town in which her sister Piper, Piper's fiance Brendan, and Fox all live. This is her chance to push herself professionally--and maybe to spend more time with Fox, with whom she will be staying during the film shoot. Fox, meanwhile, is actively avoiding attempts to push himself professionally, because in doing so, he lives to down to every low expectation people have of him as a playboy and generally fun-loving and lovable scoundrel. Despite his quiet commitment to Hannah, he's certain that he's not good enough for a relationship with her and believes everyone else thinks this as well. It's a good thing that Hannah doesn't.
Sergei, the film director on whom she's had a crush, is a non-entity in this story, really. No one really stands a chance next to Fox, and it's his hang-ups (and a few of Hannah's) that are the real obstacles to them being together.
This is really a book about people coming to grips with who they are, who they want to be, the various scars and wounds that prevent them from getting there, and the way that trusting another person helps them overcome those obstacles. To that end, this book is perfect for you if you enjoy authentic, flawed people working through their issues in healthy, loving ways, and being there for one another even when they make mistakes.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. When Hannah suggests moving the filming of Glory Daze to Westport, the small town where her sister Piper, Piper's fiancé Brendan and friend Fox live, her life gets a little more interesting. Since she met Fox last summer, they've become close friends via text, but now that they live in the same town, the sexual tension grows even though Hannah is pining for the director on set. And how could it not, she's forced to stay in Fox's guest room after visitors arrive at Piper's. In close quarters, Fox "helps" Hannah with her crush, but the time spent together every day ignites a fire neither of them can put out. One part ode to music, one part romance, shake and you have a steamy page turner!

Thank you to NetGalley, and to Avon and Harper Voyager for the arc copy for my honest review.
Holy hooking hotness!
When I originally requested this title, I had no idea it was a second book in a series. Luckily, it stands alone, but I have since downloaded the first book (It Happened One Summer) to get the original meet-cute of Hannah and Fox (and to hear her sister Piper's and his bestie Brendan's love story...but I digress)
When Hannah Bellinger pitches the idea to her director for a change of location for filming, the backdrop of Westport immediately came to mind. It was the perfect little small town, and of course she missed her sister something fierce. There were also 7 months worth of text messages to one Fox Thornton lingering in the back of her mind...
Fox Thornton the ladies man, the player. Always has been, always will be, just the go-to guy for a good time hook up. When he starts up his friendship with the adorably sweet Hannah, he has no idea the trouble he, and his heart, are in for. And now she is coming back to Westport for work AND staying in his guest room.
I absolutely FLEW through this and could not get enough of Hannah and Fox. I loved their chemistry, and obviously I'm a huge sucker for the whole friends to lovers trope. I loved the back and forth perspectives so we can see both of their sides and thoughts, and the heat. Oh yes, the heat coming off of them was pure fire. HOT!
Do yourselves a favor and read both of these books. Immediately.

I'm a huge fan of everything Tessa Bailey writes and this book checked off all my boxes.
Even tho this book is the 2nd on of the series this can be read as a stand alone .. but do yourself a favor and read the 1st one also! I loved that it gave us both point of views of the story with some funny banter and man some serious steam. Tessa writing made me feel like I was actually living in the small fishing village and the story line play out like your favorite romcom on Netflix.
Friends to Lovers , dual POV, self acceptance
I will be posting another review closer to the release of this book .. so in the mean time pre-order this one cause your won't regret it one bit!
Thanks so much NetGalley and Avon and Harper Publishing for allowing me to read the ARC of this book.

This book had me from the first text message! Hannah and Fox strike the perfect balance of humor, angst, and steam. The musical references are A+. I also really love that we delve into Fox's relationship with his mom as we generally see more of the male and his dad angle. Great perspective and great characters. Once again, Tessa is a queen of her craft.

This was a cute friends-to-lovers story and was good overall. I felt like it wasn't as memorable as Piper and Brandon. Some of it felt forced, the relationship between these Fox and Hannah didn't seem as authentic as Piper and Brandon.

It’s official - I’m a friends to lovers convert. Tessa Bailey changed me from an enemies to lovers girl with one book about a crab fisherman and a music-obsessed California girl.
Hannah finds herself back in Washington after convincing the director of the latest movie she’s working on to move filming from LA to Westport. This book was almost equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking, as Hannah and Fox were trying to resist their feelings for each other for so long. The slow burn between them as readers got insight into each of their feelings was so good, and the end was so worth it.
I’m completely obsessed with Fox now. His character development was absolutely stunning, and his genuine confidence in himself at the end of the book was everything. I loved Hannah as a heroine, pushing Fox to see himself just as she sees him.
I really enjoyed this book, and Tessa’s writing style. It had me hooked (no pun intended) from the jump.

I really enjoyed reading It Happened One Summer so I was excited to get to read Hook, Line, and Sinker!! Fox and Hannah’s story was absolutely everything, it didn’t disappoint at all.
Fox and Hannah are characters that are introduced in the previous book and we finally get their story. I love the moments between them so much, especially the vulnerable ones. I wasn’t expecting Fox’s character to be written the way it was and honestly…I was so surprised. I love his character development!! With Hannah I genuinely love her personality and the way she connects with music. It’s not only that but the way music symbolizes something strong in her relationship with Fox and her feelings.
Hook, Line, and Sinker is such an enjoyable read with great characters. I loved connecting with Fox and Hannah. Not only are they interesting as individuals but together they have an amazing chemistry!

Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey gets a solid 4.5 romance stars from me. Everyone knows I am all in for romance novels, and I am so happy that this genre is just getting better and better. Ms. Bailey introduces us to Fox and Hannah in this delightful book. How can a studly, gorgeous boat captain have so many self-doubts? And how does Hannah break through to his heart when it has been hardened by years of people thinking he is a one-and-done kind of guy, a playboy? The dialogue was witty and sweet. The two leads are adorable and make for a perfect storybook ending. This book will be released in March 2022, and I will keep reminding you as the time nears to buy this book. This novel is a remarkable friends-to-lovers story that keeps you turning the page. Can Fox overcome his doubts, can he prove his love, will Hannah fall for Fox, and will Fox let her love him? It was just what I needed to read that was funny, charming, and oh so romantic. There are some steamy scenes but not a whole ton of them. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC, and I appreciate the opportunity to LOVE another romance novel written by Tessa Bailey.

I couldn’t start reading this book any quicker when it landed it on my kindle! Hook, Line and Sinker is Tessa Bailey’s second book in the It Happened One Summer Series. You should go read the first book before you read this one. You don’t have to. Though you will be missing out on the Captain Crabby and Piper (aka a little bit Alexis).
We return to the west coast of LA and Westport with Hannah and Fox. Friends to Lovers. Small Town. Dreaming big and overcoming emotional roadblocks is what this book is all about. Hannah and Fox have kept in touch texting as friends over the course of a year. Hannah returns after offering up the town as a location on the film she is working on. Fox has been learning everything there is to learn about music, records and turn tables to be closer to Hannah.
I can’t wait for you to take this sweet, emotional and HOT journey with them. I love Hannah’s ability to have songs pop into her head as if she is scoring the soundtrack to her life. Hannah is so protective and caring. I love that she has done a lot of work figuring herself out that her insecurities of being a supportive character only go so far in the book. Fox has a reputation for being a player, but what he has in his heart is so endearing. He has so much to work on to overcome his past. He is a dreamy dreamy man. I was routing for him throughout the entire book.
I know this will be a must read in 2022 and it is one of my favorite books this year!
Thank you so much to #Netgalley, #Avon and #HarperVoyager for the ARC. Opinions are my own.
#Tessa Bailey #HookLineandSinker

Hook, Line, and Sinker follows Hannah, the younger sister to Piper, and Fox, the best friend of Brendan, as they go from friends to lovers. Hannah, a music lover, ends up staying in Westport for a time and Fox lets her crash at his place. And so begins the forced proximity trope!
Fox struggles with always being seen as the playboy, lady killer, can't-keep-a-girl-to-save-his-life type, while Hannah is working up her confidence to finally strive after what she really wants. I loved how we got to see the true friendship these two have before their physical attraction takes over. These two are endlessly supportive of each other and constantly see the best in each other. Their relationship is incredibly sweet, and they were several moments when I couldn't help but let an "aww!!" pass through. Because this is Tessa Bailey, there are some steamy scenes, and they are great! But just know there are not as many as It Happened One Summer. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the Bellinger Sisters series. I could read about Piper/Brendan and Fox/Hannah all day!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hannah has always been the supporting actress type, instead of a leading lady in her own life. She talks up and supports those she loves, but doesn’t advocate for herself at work or in relationships.
Which is why her friendship with Westport fisherman and player Fox Thornton is so out of the ordinary. Ever since they met several months earlier, Fox has been on her mind, although she’s firmly placed herself in the friend-zone, because how can a leading man want a supporting actress?
Fox has a lot of hang ups, all of them linked to his reputation as Westport’s residing libertine. But ever since he met Hannah, he can’t get her off his mind, and his womanizing ways are over - even though everyone, including his best friend and Hannah’s future brother-in-law, still believe he’s on the prowl. The fact that Hannah has a tendre for her boss also keeps Fox firmly in the friend zone, and allows him to avoid thinking about why exactly he hasn’t told Hannah that she got him hooked on vinyls.
When Hannah’s work as a Hollywood PA lands production in Westport, Fox does the friendly thing and offer up his spare room. Now all he has to do is keep his hands off his friend…
I’m a sucker for the friends-to-lovers trope, and this book was phenomenal. As in, I read it in three hours and teared up at the end, so had to wake up my (patient) boyfriend to rave about this book how emotional I was feeling (verrrrry patient boyfriend).
This was a beautiful love story about a man who doesn’t think he’s worth more than sex, and a woman who doesn’t believe she’s worthy of being someone’s first choice. I loved Brendan and Piper to death, but I think Fox and Hannah may have toppled them off the pedestal. Tessa Bailey KILLED it with this duology.
I am so so thankful to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager to have allowed me to get an ARC of this book! Bookstagram review coming soon!

This book was a lot of fun, giving the feel of a small town with two people with great personalities that are drawn to each other. I didn't read the first book in the series, but the writing style has me curious to read more from the author. I love a good friends to lovers book, it is one of my favorite tropes, and their friendship is built very nicely, starting in this book with us seeing their messages to each other through out the months.
The story keeps you engaged with characters that feel like you could just meet them on the street and giving you a sense of security in how cozy their connection is. I would definitely recommend
**Thanks to Netgalley and Publisher for the ARC**

Oh, oh. Oh my. This book has my whole heart.
I loved It Happened One Summer, and while I expected to enjoy this one, it decided to barrel into my soul and make itself at home. Now I know how Fox felt when Hannah rolled into his life. Consumed, in every way.
This book is a love letter to anyone who has ever felt like the supporting character in their own life. It’s for those struggling with imposter syndrome, always wondering if they’re good enough in what they do, good enough in the eyes of their loved ones and strangers, and wondering if they even have what it takes to achieve their dreams. The character development in this is top notch, and I’ll be the first to admit that it’s not something I usually care much about in a romance book, but it shines through so much in this, that it’s difficult not to take notice. I think it’s really clear that Tessa Bailey poured her heart and soul into writing this.
It takes a lot for a book to make me cry, but this one had a lump in my throat multiple times and I just felt so deeply for Fox and Hannah’s friendship and how much they’d come to care for and depend upon each other, even when they were 1000 miles apart. Friends to lovers can be a hit-or-miss for me, but this one stuck the landing with a perfect score. I couldn’t get enough of the way their friendship grew to more, long before they’d ever realized it.
This also felt like one of Tessa Bailey’s angstiest books yet, and the will-they-won’t-they had me forcing myself to go to bed at 3am because I just couldn’t get enough of the almosts between Fox and Hannah. And when it comes, it’s explosive, with all the fist-bitingly-good dirty talk we’ve come to expect from Tessa’s books.
Just a few weeks ago I wrote about how It Happened One Summer was my favorite book by Tessa Bailey, but this one just launched itself into space with how good it was. Surely, this is Tessa Bailey’s finest work yet.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both books in this series. This was is fun, funny, and steamy. It makes me want to move to a small seaside fishing village!
