Ahhhh I was so so excited to get this ARC, I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and getting to catch up with those two couples was an amazing added bonus to getting Margot's love story.

Things I loved: I really enjoyed Olivia and Margot as characters. I could also totally to relate with Margot when you’re the single human in a group of couples. The comedic moments were REAL in this book; cat vs. silicone and baking attempts by Margot were certainly memorable. Brendan’s meddling was classic. I liked that we didn’t have flashbacks from the past but that they did discuss their different experiences with the past. The love ferns return at game night. Little Caroline.

Things I didn’t care for: Things happened really really fast and I wish we had had a bit more time with them to rediscover their friendship before jumping into things again.

While you could probably read these books as standalones, they really do build on each other and I would suggest reading them in order. Count Your Lucky Stars is out February 1st, 2022! Pre-order, add to your TBR or request at your local library!

Lesbian fiction at its best. Great writing! Very immersive.

Perfection. I had very high hopes going into this book based on how much I loved Written in the Stars and Hang the Moon, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely love, love, love Olivia. What a great addition to this universe. We’ve seen Margot be an incredible best friend in the previous two novels, and getting to see her shine with Olivia was absolutely delightful. This is a second chance/best friends to lovers story that takes place 10 years after a miscommunication severed their friendship/budding relationship. It is, quite frankly, my favorite trope. You will no doubt be screaming at these two to just talk about their feelings and where they stand with each other. This is all-around a great rom-com and a fantastic wrap up for what has become one of my favorite friend groups in literature.

A great third installment to a great series! I'm gonna miss the gang of Elle, Darcy, Brendan, and Annie - a testament to the author's ability to write engaging characters and stories. I loved reading Margot and Olivia's love story in this book. I'm typically not a fan of miscommunication in romantic novels but I'm also a huge sucker for the "best friends to lovers" trope, which is executed to perfection here. Can't wait to re-read this book/series in the future!

Alexandria Bellefleur follows up her win of the 2020 Lambda Award in Romance for Written In the Stars by releasing the third book in the trilogy. Margot, who is the glue in the friendships, finally gets her romance. I was thrilled to get an ARC of this book and couldn't wait to read it.

Brendon and Annie are three weeks from their wedding when their location cancels. Event and wedding planner Olivia Grant is up for the task. Margot Cooper is Brandon's best woman and is blind sided seeing Olivia again. They were childhood BFF's and eventually had a week of romance before going separate ways heading to college. Olivia needs a place to stay and Margot offers her a room.

This is a second chance romance that doesn't get bogged down in flashbacks. It is laugh out loud funny, sexy and sweetly heartfelt. Margot is still the voice of wisdom talking about respecting boundaries but now we get to see her insecurities too. She doesn't want to feel like a fifth wheel to her coupling up friends. She wants to be chosen. I wish there was more of Margots family because their brief texting is hilarious. Being with Elle, Darcy, Brendon, Annie, and Margot again is a joy. I love seeing the progress in their relationships and Olivia fits right with them. I was surprised how quickly Margot and Olivia fell into a being a twosome.

Kudos to whoever created the beautiful cover for this book and the series. They absolutley draw you to the novels. I can't recommend this book enough and suggest you read (at least) the first book in the series to get a feel for Margot and the other side characters. Big gratitude and thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Count Your Lucky Stars is the third release in the Written in the Stars series by Alexandria Bellefleur and I must say I was really really REALLY looking forward to reading this one. The first two books were absolutely adorable and I couldn't put them down once I started them. This third one though disappointment me a little bit which really makes me sad because I really loved the character of Margot and wanted to love a book all about her as well.

Count Your Lucky Stars follows Margot (Elle's best friend) and the wedding of Brendon and Annie. Brendon and Annie had a mishap with their former wedding plans and need help ASAP and the planner taking the job is no other than Margot's former bestfriend and first love, Olivia. Margot and Olivia's story is a second chance romance that also deals with real issues like abandonment and self-sabotaging tendencies.

****Spoilers ahead****

Things I liked:
I thought Olivia and Margot's reunion after 11 years was sooo awkward but really cute at the same time. They were both so shocked! Margot and Cat's relationship is hilarious, especially the whole vibrator debacle, too funny! It was really different seeing Margot so flustered and out of sorts this entire book when all we've seen from her before is cool sassy confidence, so this made her character seem more real to me. I really don't remember the previous two books being so spicy, it seems like Ms. Bellefleur really ramped up those parts and I can't say I didn't like it!

Things that disappointed me:
I really did not feel the chemistry between Margot and Olivia too much. I get that they had this week long affair so their love isn't anything new but it was new to me. They get together (again) and it just felt really quick, I think it was literally a day or two after Olivia moves in with Margot. Admittedly I'm not a fan of too many second chance romances so maybe that's why I didn't resonate with this one too much but also this might be case of "told not shown". Maybe if there had been some flashback scenes of them so I could understand how much they cared for each other already and that would've helped.

My disappointment won't discourage me from continuing to read any future titles by the author, Alexandria Bellefleur usually delivers on comedy, romance and good spice. Looking forward to whatever she puts out next!

Thank you so much to Avon and HarperVoyager for providing me with an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

This is without a doubt my favorite book in this series! Count Your Lucky Stars is a fantastic second chance romance and I appreciate the lack of third-act-breakup!

Margot is Elle’s best friend and from their business partnership with OTP, she’s gotten to be really good friends with Brendon, which leads to him asking her to be his best woman. To her surprise, her best friend from high school, Olivia, is the wedding planner. Eleven years earlier they’d had a brief week together while Olivia and her then-boyfriend were broken up, but clarifying the relationship never happened so when Brad came back and wanted to get back together, Margot tried to be supportive by encouraging Olivia. This led to them falling out and not speaking until they reconnect during Brendon’s wedding. They’re also forced into close proximity when Olivia’s apartment gets flooded and Margot offers her a place to stay. They quickly act on the sexual chemistry between them, but defining the relationship as anything other than casual is hard for both of them, fearing the other doesn’t feel the same, especially with their history.

This book is all around so wonderful. I had so much fun reading it and laughed many times. The angst is perfectly balanced with humor, and I love the development of Margot and Olivia’s relationship, as well as getting to see Brendon and Annie’s, and Elle and Darcy’s relationships. Not to mention the friendship! I love Margot and Elle so much and the relationship they have is so strong. And I loved the way Elle was supportive and offered perspective to Margot.

Absolutely my favorite thing was the communication. It took a while (and yes, it did get to point I wanted to scream at them to use their words lol) but it was realistic and understandable that talking was difficult. Once they were able to talk, it filled my heart with so much warmth, and I loved how affirming they were towards each other. Olivia has trouble prioritizing her wants and happiness, and Margot is great at encouraging her to set and maintain boundaries, without demanding or dictating her actions.

I just adore this book and I cannot wait for others to fall in love with Margot and Olivia as well. Highly recommend this book for a feel-good time of a second chance romance with fantastic communication and friendships~!

Truly a perfect finish to an incredible series! Margot and Olivia were a dream couple. They had so much history, so much pining, and so much chemistry. Plus in classic Bellefluer fashion, this book had laugh-out-loud funny moments too, including animal friend hijinks, messy cooking, and grand theft auto. If you're looking for steamy sweet sapphic romance, there's nothing better!

I absolutely loved Count Your Lucky Stars! It's the third book in the Written in the Stars series, and I'm so glad that I got to read about Margot's happy ending, while also getting to see how Brendon and Annie, as well as Darcy and Elle were doing. I found this one to be so sweet, and I loved how Olivia fit seamlessly into their friend group! I couldn't help but root for Margot and Olivia,

This book is just CUTE. I love a good romcom and this had all my favorite elements- forced proximity, cute banter, and very love able side characters.
Margot and Olivia were best friends in high school, but they haven’t spoken in 11 years. When they run into each other again just after Olivia’s divorce, they’re not totally certain where they stand. When they end up as roommates, the tension builds…😉

This is the third book in a character series and full disclosure I have not yet read the other two BUT I ordered them as soon as I finished this one!
4.5 stars- I’m so excited to read more about these sweet, very real characters!

Alexandria Bellefleur does it again!

Margot takes center stage as her ex-best friend (& spring fling) reenters her life and they become roommates. Recently divorced and living in a new city, Olivia is navigating a life she never planned on.

This is a perfect continuation of the Written in the Stars series! It was really neat seeing how the characters from previous books were doing. Plus, Margot & Olivia's story is full of heart, second change romance, estranged best friends to lovers, AND THEY WERE ROOMMATES. I really enjoyed reading about their relationship!

All in all, this was a lovely romance novel and I am looking forward to seeing (& reading) what Alexandria Bellefleur does next!

Many thanks to NetGalley & Avon for this eARC! I really appreciate the opportunity to read Count Your Lucky Stars!

The hardest part about reviewing this book is deciding whether it's my favorite of Bellefleur's books or not. I loved each of her previous books and I loved this one just as much (and possibly more). Over the past two books, I have grown to love Margot with her biting wit and her gooey marshmallow under the snark. I was ecstatic that she was getting her own romance novel, with a second chance romance and the book did not disappoint.

My goodness this is funny (I laughed out loud several times) and suuuper hot. Olivia and Margot are easy to cheer for and you just want them to get it right this time. I loved this book. Highly recommend.

First off, that cover is GORGEOUS. This book started off strong. It was witty, funny, and it sucks you in right from the beginning. Alexandria Bellefleur’s writing weaves together a beautiful estranged best friends to lovers romance story.
This is a fast character-driven romance. It’s mostly about Margot and Olivia coming together and overcoming their emotional barriers. The chemistry is fabulous.
Olivia's character was also great addition to the cast and she fell in seamlessly with of Darcy, Elle, Brendon, and Annie. Seriously, these six all have amazing chemistry and make you want to be a part of their friend group. Bellefleur has mastered the perfect combination of romance, laughter, steamy scenes, and friendships.

Pick up this book - it’s one of my favorite books of the year!

Special thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sharing this ARC with me in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a lovely conclusion to the Written in the Stars series!

I, like most people who read it, was totally taken in last year when Alexandria Bellefleur came out with Written in the Stars I was super into that book, all of the characters it introduced, and the astrological themes that went with it. I'm not THAT into astrology but it is kinda fun and I loosely follow it, and it is very ingrained into LGBT culture so I enjoyed having a book series with it as a reoccurring theme. And when this book came out I was super excited to read it! After loving the first book, I put off the second book Hang the Moon as it had an M/F pairing, and frankly that's not my cup of tea when it comes to fiction. But I read it quickly when I saw the third book is going back to F/F, and this was so fun!

This book follows Margot, who finally gets her story after Elle and Brandon get theirs! Just when Margot is starting to feel like a 5th wheel in her friend group, her childhood best friend Olivia Grant falls back into her life. Olivia happens to need a place to stay and Margot offers her extra room. Olivia and Margot have a lot of unresolved feelings for each other from their childhood and adolescents together, but also there is some chemistry between them that needs to be figured out.

I love second chance stories. They're probably my favorite trope in lesfic because the chemistry is already there, and as I've said before I really enjoy the juxtaposition between feelings for each other, and knowing why things ended causing you to stay away. It all leads to lovely amounts of angst. And this was really fun! There is some angst to this but not altogether too much at the same time.

Margot is lovely of course as has been in every book. And I loved seeing her meet her match too in Olivia. And Olivia is wonderful and open and I could tell she just brings out the best of Margot. Both have their own demons, partially caused by each other, and partially not and seeing them try to help each other was nice.

And this book being a series, all of our other favorite characters are back, Elle, Darcy, Brandon, and Annie all have large rolls. And unlike last book which I felt had some slight characterization issues, I didn't feel that here.

Also for anyone worried about flashbacks in second chance stories: no flashbacks here. The past is discussed but that's it.

The story was fun and also this book was really funny! I found myself laughing and grinning multiple times though the book. The REAL icebreaker for Olivia and Margot killed me! This is a romance novel so you can kinda guess the pace of things happening and what will be the final conflict towards the end but it didn't take away from my enjoyment at all. And I loved seeing Annie and Brandon, as well as Elle and Darcy's conclusions be told as well!

And another thing about this book I really appreciated was how this book discussed communication issues between people, but also miscommunication in media. I think it handled that issue well, and I appreciate that. I also liked the subtle dig at people that judge people who read romance!

One mild thing, and it's mostly related to having and uncorrected e-proof ARC on my Kindle, but when it showed characters texting, none of the emojis showed up. So I just had to guess at the tone of their tone conversations. Not a big deal, but something to note. Anyone that gets physical books, it will probably be fine.

Anyway, I liked this a lot. It's fun, steamy, funny, and a good conclusion to the series. 4.5/5

Wow wow wow! Where to begin?

Reading this book was a game changer and dragged me right out of the reading slump I was in. This is my favorite series and Alexandria Bellefleur one of my favorite authors. There is no doubt in my mind that Count Your Lucky Stars is the perfect addition to this series about a group of lovable weirdos. The author does a brilliant job of writing relatable and well rounded queer characters. You can’t help but find yourself routing for them the whole time.

Well let’s get into it! Count Your Lucky Stars is the story of estranged childhood best friends, to roommates, to lovers Margot and Olivia. We follow Margot Cooper, who we know from the previous books as a sarcastic and witty, but lovable grump. She is passionate about her job and her found family friend group. Margot exudes a quiet confidence, isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and excels in remaining calm and level headed…until she runs into Olivia.

Newcomer, Olivia is an easy character to fall in love with. She is a people pleaser at heart. Always looking out for others. She exudes sunshine and kindness. She is a passionate event planner who has just moved to Seattle following her divorce. Hoping to move up the ladder at work, she takes on a HUGE job orchestrating the wedding of none other than Brendan Lowell.

When Olivia and Margot’s worlds collide for the first time in 11 years, they are forced to reconcile their feelings and reflect on their past. Count Your Lucky Stars allows us to to see the ups and downs of a budding relationship, coupled with hilariously awkward situations and plenty of steamy scenes.

I do not know how it is even possible, but I love this book even more than Written In The Stars. This book is perfectly warm, relatable, and just the write amount of spice. Once again, I laughed, I cried, and I was fully satisfied with the ending. This is without a doubt the best book I have read this year and I cannot wait to add a copy to my shelves in February 2022!!

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon books for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

margot and olivia have my heart honestly. the way they were able to dip back into their friendship with ease after eleven years was so sweet. margot being jealous is just soo funny sometimes brendan is too oblivious for his own good. overall i love how margot was able to get olivia to break out of her shell a little and how olivia was able to make margot more vulnerable
