While this one is third in the series, it can certainly be read as a standalone. An enjoyable read with lovely characters and a good lot of romance with a side of steam!

This book takes you on a journey of life long friends, Robbie and Shannon. Being raised on a farm has provided Robbie and Jenny the chance to work hard and enjoy the animals. When their parents died Robbie takes over the farm and his best friend Shannon goes into partnership with him when he finishes college. Fifteen years later Robbie is hurt and Jenny returns from the city to help out once again on the farm. Jenny is at a point she wants to have a family. Being back on the farm has her remembering simpler times. Her business in the city had a break in and she was concerned for her safety. Shannon can’t seem to keep the old feelings for Jenny at bay. When Robbie decides to sell the farm what will happen to Shannon? Will Jenny go back to the city? Will Shannon finally take a chance and act on his feeling.

This book is the perfect example of a quick read. I read both of the other books in this standalone series before starting this one because this author was new for me. One thing I loved about this novel, along with the others, is you get exactly what you need in this book in a quick read. This marriage of convenience is done really well, and I enjoyed the underlying love between our characters from childhood. You get a little suspense, a lot of love, and completely fulfilled when you read "Say You'll Be Mine" and I loved it.

Although this is part of a series it can be read alone as I did and thoroughly enjoyed it, I love a good romance that involves a best friend’s sister and meeting Jannette Tanner and Shannon Hopkins was a beautiful journey to a HEA that left me smiling.

Jannette has been happily running her bridal shop in the city for some years now after moving from the family dairy farm, but she feels that she wants more it is time to move on, she wants a family but suddenly her brother Robbie has an accident and she is needed back on the farm to help and here she meets up with Shannon her brother’s best friend the guy she had a big crush on all those years ago and somehow her heart still beats that bit faster even now.

Shannon did a lot of his growing up on the Tanner farm and has been living and helping run it for many years now with Robbie but when Jannette arrives back to help out he realises that the forbidden crush he had years ago has never gone away and when an option to buy the farm comes up he will need some help from Jannette to make it happen, so a deal is made, a marriage of convenience to help them both but protecting his heart is harder than he thinks it will be.

Their journey to a well -deserved HEA is filled with ups and downs, as Shannon does his best to adhere to Jannette’s rules but it only takes one night together to realise that they have both lost their hearts but it takes a bit of danger and a bit of a push from Jannette’s friends to get her to open up, so there are all smiles for this couple, I loved Shannon, true hero material and Jannette is caring and loving. I do highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good romance.

My thanks to Netgelley and the Publisher for my copy to read and review

This s a good book. The two main characters are Jannette and Shannon. They have known each other all their lives. Shannon was best friends with Janette’s brother. Shannon proposed a marriage of convenience, so he could inherit his half of his grandfather’s trust and to protect Janette from her starker. They quickly broke all their rules and fell in love and got pregnant.

Jannette Tanner and Shannon Hopkins had been friends for years. Shannon was Jannette's brother's best friend and she had a huge crush on him when she was younger but when he left to pursue his path, she was devastated. Then when she left before Shannon returned to town, he felt like he has lost his chance with her. Now, 18 years later, Jannette has returned to help her brother on the family farm after an accident and she finds Shannon is also part of the family farm. Those same feelings still exist all those years later so what is she to do?

Shannon has loved his Jenny for ever it seems. Would he ever get the chance to express that love to her? Would she love him back? When a stalker is found to be in Jenny's life, Shannon wants to protect her and because he has a requirement to receive his inheritance, a marriage of convenience is proposed for one year. This marriage would come with lots of rules, the biggest of which is "Don't Fall In Love". Was that going to even be possible? Time will tell.

I liked this story very much. There. was one somewhat graphic sex scene and some f-bombs thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately, both of those things are a bit of a turn-off for me and diminished how much I enjoyed this story.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

Say You'll Be Mine by RJ Groves is essentially a cowboy romance but set in Australia. Jannette hadn't been home for fourteen years. In the meantime she had set up a wonderful life in Perth. She had owned a bridal shop and had purchased her own house. She had good friends and a good life. All that was lacking was a man to love. She had had some dates found online, but nothing had clicked. Then she got the call: her brother had been injured. He had a broken arm and a broken leg and he needed help on the farm. At about that same time, someone had broken into her shop. She felt strange, as if someone were watching her, but surely that was just paranoia. So she packed up and arrived at the farm, just in time to help deliver a calf. There she was in her designer clothes with her arm up the behind of a cow, trying to find the calf's legs so they could pull. It all worked out and when she finished she turned to find Shannon, her brother's best friend, and her childhood crush, standing there smiling. He was hot. Funny, because he was thinking the same thing about her. Thus started their "romance." She had a stalker and he couldn't inherit the money he needed to buy the farm from Robbie until he was married. You got it-a marriage of convenience.

This was a good read, and a good romance. There was just enough outside influence to make it all believable. The total lack of communication between the two, which is typical in romances, kind of hits a new high. The characters were good, the sex as hot, and the story was well-thought-out and thorough. This is my first read by Groves but I will be back for more. I recommend it for readers of romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book but all opinions expressed are my own. Say You’ll be Mine by RJ Groves includes a lot of romance tropes, second chance, brother’s best friend, fake marriage.. Jenny comes home after her brother has an accident to help out, she discovers her old teenage crush Shannon also lives on the farm and is also helping out. Jenny is at a cross roads in her life and has some big decisions to make. Shannon always had feelings for Jenny, but thought he was too old for her when they where teenagers and she is his best friends little sister. Jenny had problems with a stalker before she came home and Shannon needs to get money from an inheritance to buy the farm. They agree they can both help each other out and agree to get married, but just for 1 year, no feelings involved. Surprise, surprise feelings can’t be avoided and misunderstanding and confusion get in their way., I would have liked to knock their heads together at times! This is a slow burn romance and takes a little while to get going, but an enjoyable read.

A lovely feel-good friends to lovers story. When Janette returns to her family farm from the city - reeling from a series of bad relationships and a failed business - to help her injured brother Robbie, she hadn't counted on bumping into her childhood crush and Robbie's business partner, Shannon.

For Shannon, it's been 17 years since he saw his best friend's kid sister. Janette's not a kid anymore and no one is more surprised than him to learn that he still had feelings for her. But with Janette due to head back to her life in the city and her plans for parenthood, and Shannon looking to buy his own farm one day, they both know it's not wise to act on any of the feelings they harbour for one another.

So when Robbie decides to sell the farm, and Janette learns she is being stalked, Shannon proposes a marriage of convenience. He gets to access the inheritance money he needs to buy the farm from Robbie. While Janette gets the chance to foil her stalker and possibly realise her dream of motherhood. But for it to work, they have to establish some ground rules. The most important is that. . .they must not fall in love.

This book was about family, chasing dreams and taking risks. A delightful read. The third in a series. Though can be read as a stand alone.

This story follows a woman who goes back home to help her family after her brother gets hurt when she ends up falling for his best friend. A very sweet romance that I enjoyed.

I'm a sucker for a good brother's best friend/second chance romance.
This book is the third book in its series ,but can totally be read as a standalone.
I really enjoyed the story, the descriptives were great, and the characters had chemistry.
Even though some part felt a little bit rushed, we did not 'skipped' essential part in both character development.

I'll be sure to grab more books by RJ Groves, and I'll definitely read the rest of the series.

This was a nice sweet story. This is a new author for me, and one I enjoyed quite a bit.
When Jannette Tanner is called back to her family farm to help her brother, she suddenly finds herself unsure about her future. Especially when she sees her brother's best friend for the first time after seventeen years and discovers those secret childhood feelings for him have only grown stronger.
Shannon Hopkins is happy and content with his life - or so he'd thought. It wasn't until his best friend's little sister showed up that he realizes there's been a big hole in his life. And the longer Jannette is around, the smaller that hole feels. Only problem is, she'll be headed back to the city before too long, and he'll be the sorry fool left heartbroken in the country.
But when it seems that Jannette might have a stalker and Shannon finds himself needing to marry to access an inheritance from his traditionalist grandfather, there's only one possible solution - a marriage of convenience. How could that not be a good idea?
I liked the idea of this book a lot. It’s not new but it’s was good, nevertheless. It’s easy to read and engaging. They seemed comfortable with each other. The chemistry between them is right on the pages. The final plot was a bit too much for me, but the rest of the book is really good. Beautiful happy ending.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
It took me a little bit to get into this story but I did enjoy the storyline. “Jenny” as Shannon calls her comes back home to help her brother on the farm. When helping deliver a calf she brushes back and realizes her crush from years ago was standing there.
Some twists and turns and ups and downs threaten their growing relationship and will they be able to withstand those struggles? Don’t worry there is a HEA ending.

A sweet love story with the perfect ammount of angst.
I liked Shan and Jenny, though the side characters were interesting too.
Fully recommend it to all romance fans!

I really enjoyed this book! It had been a while since I read the other two interconnected standalones, but that was not an issue at all. Jeannette finds herself heading to her childhood home to help her injured brother run the family farm. What she didn't expect was her crush on her brother's best friend, Shannon, to still be there in spades seventeen years later. But Jeannette has her own struggles and she has no intention of giving in to feelings she's just going to have to walk away from once her brother is back on his feet. Until Shannon finds out he needs a wife -- and fast -- to take advantage of a limited-time opportunity. And Jeannette finds out she's got more problems than she realized. Ones that having a husband could very well fix. Will their marriage of convenience be the perfect solution or the perfect disaster in the making? With moments both sweet and sexy, plus plenty of intrigue, this book is definitely worth the read to find out!

I received Say You'll Be Mine as part of a NetGalley giveaway.

Driven from her city life following the burglary and closure of her bridal shop, Jannette Tanner finds herself back at her family ranch to assist her brother Robbie. There she runs into childhood friend Shannon, now Robbie's business partner. When circumstances arise that put the ranch in jeopardy, Shannon finds he can save it using a long-ignored inheritance, one requiring him to marry before receiving. But secrets and danger lurk and must be confronted before Shannon and Jannette find their happily ever after.

This was a sweet romance. I'm a sucker for marriage of convenience stories and rambling ranches, and this delivers on both counts. Shannon and Jannette are both well-written characters and have some depth that many romances lack. I thought the confrontation at the end was a bit overblown and the story could have easily been written without it, but I was willing to overlook it in favor of the book's better points.
