Wow this book was just so good and so easy to get lost in. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I just didn't want the story to end. I just couldn't get enough of these wonderful characters and I just loved getting to see their journey. I will most definitely be reading more stories from this wonderful author.

I found The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman to be a wonderful beach read filled with emotionally charged relationships and characters that keep you invested in this story. The chemistry between Maverick and Kennedy is palpable and filled with banter that keeps a smile on your face throughout much of the story. While this is one in the Windsong series, it is most definitely stand-alone, and I look forward to diving into some others.

Many thanks to Entangled Publishing, LLC and Netgalley for this ARC (all opinions expressed in this review are authentically mine).

OMG, loved!

Kennedy and Maverick's enemies-to-lovers story was just wonderful! I will admit, I was a bit worried about the "wedding crasher" part of the book--I really hoped this wasn't going to be a My Best Friend's Wedding kind of situation (and no, of course I wasn't worried enough to read the entire synopsis, why would I? I saw "Robin Bielman" and "cowboy" and said, yes, please--but that part of it, though it drew out a teensy bit longer than it really should have, was just fine. And of course it served its purpose, which was to bring Kennedy and Maverick together again, so...all good ;)

I loved watching Kennedy and Mav as they got to know each other again, getting to know each other for real for the first time and having to re-examine the "truths" that they thought they knew about one another for so long. Their story wasn't nearly as fluffy as I expected it to be--Mav had a trauma in his past he wasn't quite over yet (OMG, the letters at the end of the chapters!) and Kennedy had some relationship drama at the start and suffers her own traumatic event before the end--and honestly, my reactions while reading ran the gamut from swoons to LOL to a little light sobbing. So many feels!

The ending was a bit drawn out, but not unrealistically so--I kept looking at the time left in book marker, hoping Ms Bielman would end our mutual despair soon...

A few nit-picky things kept it from being a higher rating. One, the premise for getting and keeping Kennedy out there was, as previously mentioned, a bit iffy. Two, Kennedy at times seemed a little naïve for an ER doctor. (Would she really need *quite* so much explanation while watching puppies be born? Has she really had so little experience with death up to now that touched her personally?) Three, the series of events that kept them apart near the end was slightly heavy handed--even knowing that we know a little more about Mav's past than Kennedy does at that point, would she really have interpreted his letter the way she did? Her younger sister didn't... And would Mav really react that way to hers...? I'm not totally convinced.

Still, this was a lovely read and I was so, so happy with how it ended. Fingers crossed that we'll see some more stories set in this universe, because I couldn't help but notice there were a few singletons hanging out here and there... ;)

I didn't know I needed this book until I read it and now I want anything Robin Bielman does. I've been in such a reading funk lately and though I've read a few things, and they were good, nothing really hit the spot, you know? Enter in the latest from Robin Bielman and it was all of the things. It was funny, it was sweet, and it was fun.

It also makes me think maybe I should just crash some weddings and see what happens because I've yet to read a book, or see a movie, where that ends up terribly. Ha! This gave me The Unhoneymooners from Christina Lauren vibes but honestly so much better. I liked that book a lot, but I really loved this one. I'm deciding the enemies to loves trope is probably my absolute favorite and this book completely sealed that for me. I love sassy banter between characters and this nailed it. I love the steamy chemistry so obviously there but everyone is just ignoring it, this has that and more. The book doesn't shy from giving you the feels either, and the fact this book delivers in every way? Maybe in my top five of the year... I loved it that much.

My favorite romance trope is enemies-to-lovers and coupled with a small-town romance is just pure fun!

This book dealt with much deeper issues than just a light small town romance. All the feels for this book!

The secondary characters are interesting and I can't wait to read their story in future books!

Kennedy and Maverick have a complicated past, one of frienemies and sarcasm, and when they meet again at Kennedy's ex's wedding celebration things heat up pretty quickly. Kennedy is determined to make sure her ex is happy in his decision to get married, and Maverick who had decided to steer clear of the wedding is now keeping an eye on her to make sure she doesn't cause any trouble.

The sassy banter and sizzling romance were completely on point, it had me laughing out loud, and left me with all the feels. This was a beautiful story, both Maverick and Kennedy have some serious baggage and it was so heartwarming to see them let their walls down and let their feelings grow.

I loved the small town feel, the residents were so friendly and made you feel like you were a part of the family. The animals were adorable, especially George.

I can't wait to read the next book!

Thought I would like this book more then I thought I would. I just couldn't get into it. I tried many times and for the sake of reading this book to make sure I get a review out I did. I liked the characters and how everything turned out in this book but for some reason it just wasn't for me.

I read this book for the first time in 2021 before it was released but didn’t review it. So I listened to the audiobook to get a refresher and I remembered a lot of it which I am very happy about.

I loved this romance and the trope is enemies to friends to lovers.
The story expands through the wedding week of Kennedy’s best friend Reed and his soon to be wife Elle.
I loved that Robin Bielman counts down the days so you can see what happens on each day and how the romance unfolds between Kennedy and Maverick.
It is a very emotional romance that deals with cancer, heart disease, the death of a loved one and how to let go and move on with your life, and also figuring out how you want your life to be so you can become happy.
Just know that there is a description of a child dying so be aware of that. That was very though to read about.

I loved the romance between Kennedy and Maverick. They are just so fun and sweet together. And even though they start out as enemies you can just feel the attraction lying underneath the surface and you are just waiting for the tension to explode.and when it happens it is just wow;-)!
You are going to love Andrew, Kennedy’s gay actor friend who joins her as her date to the wedding they are crashing. He is supposed to be dating her but he is all over the place telling stories and doing method acting whilst flirting with the best man. He is so fricking funny and I loved him too!
Maverick’s family is also amazing and I understand why Kennedy falls in love with them all right away.
I can’t wait to read about Maverick’s brother Hunter in the next book.

If you love emotional and funny small town romance with great characters and farm settings then this will definitely be for you. I can definitely recommend it.

I got this book from Entangled publishing and Netgalley and this is my honest opinion and my voluntary review.

A drunken dial from her ex the night of his bachelor party has Kennedy hightailing it to his wedding to check on him. Only it's not her ex she ends up dealing with, but her college nemesis, the man on whose ranch the wedding is - Maverick, hot cowboy. When their dormant attraction flares to life, will they give in even though she's heading back to Boston soon, and he's about to embark on a trip to satisfy his deceased love's wishes?

OK, I have to admit this was not my favorite former nemesis/rivals story. It's sweet, and likable, but there isn't enough of the nemesis/feuding vibe for me, and the nature of the central relationship wasn't solid enough or hot enough for my tastes. I think it may be me, and because I probably expected something I shouldn't have. It's well-written, though, and the secondary characters like Kennedy's bestie, Andrew, and sister, Ava, and Maverick's family, are awesome and could do with stories of their own, that I'd definitely read, especially Andrew's.

I was not prepared for how good this book was. Yes, it was a romance, but nothing was truly cliched. The Wedding Crasher is trying to make sure the bride and groom get married, and the medical issues in the book such as ALS and Long QT were very well researched. As an emergency healthcare worked I was thrilled to see Kennedy's career written into the book so well. I cried at several parts in the book and wish Mav's family became a book series. I feel like there is options there with his younger brother and sister since the oldest brother is happily married - but he and his wife have struggled with miscarriages and have only had one successful pregnancy so there may be a story waiting there for them afterall.

I love books where the main characters are the best opponents for each other, and in this case Kennedy and Maverick were each other’s reason for doing so well in college. They always tried to come out on top academically while irritating the other one. Years later, Kennedy is an ER doctor while Maverick works on his family’s ranch/destination wedding resort. When Kennedy’s ex-boyfriend calls implies that he’s not sure he wants to get married to his fiancee, Kennedy crashes the week-long wedding festivities with her best friend Andrew (who actually was invited) so she can talk some sense into him so the wedding will go on as planned. But Kennedy never thought she’d see Maverick ever again, and she certainly never thought that he’d be even more handsome or infuriating good at pushing her buttons after all these years. He knows she’s not on the guest list, and he won’t let her make his family’s business look bad if she ruins this wedding.

It took me a little bit to get warmed up to this book and the third person point of view story telling from both Maverick and Kennedy’s voices gave a nice insight into their lives. Kennedy is fresh off a devastating relationship, so she dives head first into work and the only family she wants to be around–her little sister. When her work isn’t even safe any more, she quits on a whim and sets her sights on a position in a hospital in Boston. Maverick’s life didn’t go as he’d planned, but he has the love and support of his close-knit family and a business he enjoys. So he didn’t become a veterinarian, but he’s still fulfilled here in this small town where everyone knows him and unfortunately all his business. When Kennedy swoops in, his well protected heart starts to crack open and let her inside little by little.

I give The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy a five out of five. Both Kennedy and Maverick have their share of troubles and heartbreaks in this story, but they surround themselves with loving friends and family, laughter, and jobs they love. The characters were well crafted and developed, and I loved the journeys and growth both Maverick and Kennedy went on. The small town and ranch are great settings and vividly painted, while the secondary characters shine. I’d love to see more of some of them in more books. Maverick and Kennedy had obstacles to overcome both on their own and together, and I really enjoyed the ride.

A well laid out story understanding of love and overcoming fears and heartache. When Kennedy gets a drunken call from her ex, days before his wedding with doubts, she doesn’t think twice before crashing his wedding to convince him that he’s with the right woman. What she doesn’t expect is to run into her college nemesis, Maverick. When Maverick realizes Kennedy is not an invited guest, and might cause issues on the wedding happening at his family ranch, he decides to stick close and avoid the potential. I enjoyed the dual POV of this story quite a bit. There were moments with humor and plenty of fun and funny moments as Kennedy tries to remain under the radar and learns about small town life. There was also some emotional moments, especially as you learn more about Maverick's past. The pacing is a bit sow but does provide the details for a clear vision of the story.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

3.5 ✨

“Maverick had been locked away in her pst. He wasn’t supposed to collide with her present without a heads-up.”

The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy was a heartwarming story about letting go and listening to your heart. About trusting your feelings. filled with beautiful friendship, families, swoony hallmark moments, sizzling chemistry, witty banter, everything outdoorsy and glazed desserts.

It was a fun, cozy read, with a little emotional rollercoaster on the side. I really enjoyed it, but I do have to point out that I wasn’t a big fan of the reason she got to the ranch, I could have skipped the whole wedding thing because I simply couldn’t relate to it.

“I think we’re unexpectedly drawn to each other.”

I liked the way this story flowed and how the author used rivalry from college as the jumping point for this "enemies" to lovers type of story. The writing is smooth and the story is seamless. We are introduced to Dr. Kennedy "Ned" Martin and rancher Maverick Owens, as the main HEA/hea characters. Kennedy is an ER doctor in L.A. looking to change jobs for personal reasons. One night she receives a drunken phone call from a former boyfriend / lifelong friend, Reed, saying he's not sure he wants to get married, to his now fiancé. Kennedy, being the stalwart friend that she is, immediately enlists the aid of her best friend, Andrew, to crash the wedding and do whatever she needs to do, in order to help her friend. Unbeknownst to her; her college nemesis, Maverick is part of the family that owns/runs the northern California ranch and Inn where the destination wedding is taking place. Maverick doesn't want anything to mar the sterling reputation that the family has for the Inn and surrounding ranch; so he makes it clear to Kennedy that she has to behave; if not, he has no issue calling the local police and having her arrested.
Through the course of the book we learn so much about Kennedy and Maverick and their respective families/upbringings and the things that shaped them into the two individuals that they are at the present time. A wonderfully written and moving story about the power of love and loss and all the in-betweens....

Adored this story so much! It was funny, sexy and pretty emotional.

They didn't love to hate each other. Nor did they love each other.

"You something'd her."

When Maverick Owens and Kennedy Martin met at college, they rubbed each up the wrong way from the get-go, which lead to years of one-upmanship. When Kennedy decides to crash her friend's wedding to make sure he's not making a mistake, the last person she expects to bump into is her old nemesis, whose family happens to own the ranch where the wedding is taking place.

"She possessed some serious magnetic mojo, grown more powerful since college."

From the moment they meet again, the competitive spark re-ignites between them. However, seven years on, there's also more than a frisson of attraction thrown in. As the days pass, they spend more and more time together, realising that if they'd put aside their prejudices sooner, they possibly would have had a whole lot more years ago. Nowadays, Kennedy is chasing her medical dreams whilst Maverick is still grieving a loss. Their futures are taking them in two different directions, but they plan to enjoy what time they have together.

"The urge to scoop her up and take her somewhere special, where just the two of them could get to know this newer version of themselves better, hit him like a force of nature."

This was such a fantastic story! I loved the chemistry between Maverick and Kennedy. The repartee between them was sparkling and humorous. They pushed each other out of their respective comfort zones. I adored how Kennedy brought Mav back to life again - how she infused hope and happiness into his days and made him open up about a lot of private things. At the same time, I loved how he showed her the joys of country living vs city life. She was enthusiastic, curious, and took pleasure in doing so many things. The honesty and passion between them made me swoon and the letters! I seriously loved the letters! Thoroughly recommend this story!
