This was adorable! It was a fun spin on romance. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Expect to laugh out loud while reading The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy by Robin Bielman. I don’t think I ever read a story where a woman is trying to talk her ex into sticking with the plan to marry his now girlfriend/fiancée. Boy does it make for a great story in the hands of Ms. Bielman. Humor, college nemesis, awkward moments and misunderstandings make for a fun feel-good romance read.

A week of all things prewedding Kennedy Martin and Maverick Owens. Just not their wedding and just not how they expected to spend that week. Need a lift, a smile or a laugh then The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy is the book for you.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy
by Robin Bielman

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and publisher Entangled:Amara.

When I first started the book I was confused on the timeline. But as I continued to read everything fell into place.

This is such a sweet story. I felt like I could picture exactly what was happening. Have you ever been in someone’s house where the family is nice and heartwarming? This is the emotion this book gave me.

This story starts with our main character Kennedy. Kennedy is an over achiever from a dysfunctional family. She has graduated from medical school. She has applied for a job in a Boston hospital in the emergency room.

She gets a phone call from her ex boyfriend who’s at his bachelor party. He’s been drinking and calls her and says he’s not sure about getting married. Kennedy knows she needs to help her friend ( ex). So Kennedy figures out how to get to her ex. Her and her best friend, Andrew show up at the ranch where the before activities of the wedding and wedding will take place to spend a few days so she can talk to her ex boyfriend.

This book is a well written so you can visualize the surroundings of everything and everyone which makes you have the connection that makes you feel warm and happy inside.

This is the first book I have read by Robin Bielman. And I’m looking forward to reading more.

One call from her inebriated ex who was suffering a case of the nerves due to his upcoming wedding was all it would take for Kennedy to put her life on hold and put him at ease. She heads to the ranch where the wedding will be taking place only to have her attempts to see the groom thwarted by Maverick, the one man she never thought she would have to see again.

Maverick’s family owns the ranch, and it is imperative that the wedding proceed without a hitch. The last thing he needs is the groom’s ex causing conflict, so he is determined to keep her occupied, but he never expected to enjoy their time together so much.

The romantic pasts of both Kenney and Maverick are complicated so although they are drawn to each other it does create some turmoil along the way. There is a great balance between romance, humor, and emotion as they overcome their pasts so they can have a future together.

What a fun premise for a book. You'd think the wedding crasher would be trying to break up the wedding. I'm glad that the love story went an entirely different way. Kennedy and Maverick are great and their story was fun to follow.

Kennedy races to the destination wedding location of her ex-boyfriend after receiving a drunken call from him making her think he might not really want to get married. She and her best friend crash the wedding week initially but soon are great friends with many members of the wedding party and garner legitimate invitations to the various pre-wedding events and even the wedding itself. Throughout, Kennedy keeps crossing paths with Maverick. His family owns the ranch hosting the wedding. Amazingly, the two knew each other pretty well in college and were at odds generally. Of course, there may have been some attraction fueling the loathing. Maverick starts taking Kennedy places and showing her the farm. Their outings turn out to be a lot of fun. Soon, they're involved but neither sees a way for their relationship to work long term. Maverick has to tie up loose ends tied to a promise he made his girlfriend before she died. Kennedy wants to take the ER position in Boston.

I really enjoyed watching these two. They're so good together. They're great people. Great with family members, friends and acquaintances. Kennedy even finds she really likes small town life. But her life is about the excitement of emergency medicine in a large city, right? I love that Kennedy finds her happiness without it being tied to Maverick yet their goals so perfectly align in the end.

This story was very fun and had a great ending.

Thanks to Entangled: Amara and NetGalley for the ARC.

Kennedy crashes her ex's wedding after getting a drunk call from him while he's at his bachelor party. While at the wedding venue, she runs into Maverick, her college nemesis and sparks fly. This book was enjoyable and hard to put down. The characters were quirky and fun. It was a wonderful book!

Loved, loved, loved Kennedy and Maverick! Their story had a bit of everything in it…”frenemies” to lovers, heartbreak, humor, cowboys, wedding shenanigans and great secondary characters.
Kennedy is a dedicated doctor, wonderful sister and caring friend. The last thing she expects while “crashing” a friend’s wedding is meeting up with her college nemesis, Maverick. While they semi-goodnaturedly competed in school, they never saw the sparks between them all those years ago. Maverick now helps run the family ranch, which specializes in weddings, and he knows she wasn’t invited. So of course, for the sake of his family business, he needs to keep and eye on Kennedy. Yeah, keep telling yourself that, cowboy.
I don’t want to give too much away, because while their banter and chemistry is so fantastic, there are underlying themes of grief and loss. So I’ll say that her friend Andrew is laugh out loud funny, sister Ava (Kennedy’s) is a spark plug and Mavericks’s family is fantastic. While Kennedy’s older sister and mother don’t really show up on page…thank goodness…those two needed some comeuppance for sure!
This was a huge 5 star read for me.

The title pulled me in. The story kept me turning pages. I loved Maverick and Kennedy! They have quite the story, and their friends are the comic relief. Andrew brings all the fun. You will get a lot of emotion with this book, but the banter and the chemistry balance out the heartache. This book was a pleasure to read, and I am looking forward to more from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing LLC for the advanced copy: this is my voluntary review.

Enemies to lovers. Kennedy receives a call from her ex, expressing concerns on his upcoming marriage. Kennedy decides to crash the wedding to convince the groom that everything will be ok. Upon arrival she crashes into her college nemesis, Maverick. They are still oil and water but soon can't deny the chemistry that they share. As they share this week together, country boy vs city girl they find they have much more in common then they thought. Will a one week fling be enough?

Loved the banter that Maverick and Kennedy share. The chemistry is off the charts. Yes, I will admit I was a blubbery mess by the end. Loved Maverick's family. I highly recommend the heart felt romance.

Kennedy and Maverick were rivals in college, and now she has crashed a wedding being held on his ranch.
Will this be a chance for them to start over, or is he not able to move on from his past?

A great read.

This is a new to me author so of course I wasn't sure what to expect. I will say the author did not disappoint I kind of feel invested in all these characters lives now. I loved Andrew he was the best friend/brother anyone truly could as for and with such an active role in this book I want him to have HIs happy ever after for sure. I liked Ava and Jenna their personalities seem to shine off the pages. With some of the things that Both Maverick and Kennedy reached faced I found this book more on the emotional side of a rom-com. I felt like they were both stubborn and pig headed and they would push each others buttons which added to the laughter of it all. There is some adult situations in this book that may not be suitable for all readers. Over all I did enjoy this book it did drag in a few parts but when it was good it was really good and made up for it, such a fun read.

This was a really enjoyable read! I loved Kennedy and Maverick. I loved everything about the story and will definitely be looking for more from this author!

It’s a cute enemies turned lovers romance but I found certain aspects a bit blah. The premise of the book is that Kennedy runs into Maverick, her college rival at a ranch where her ex, Reed, is getting married. Reed and the whole wedding plays such a background role in this story that it seemed like a waste. Kennedy’s own family drama was half explained but you don’t get the full background until much later. Her friend Andrew’s antics at the wedding played a background role as well but it seemed like it would have been fun to read more of it. I guess the wedding in general needed to be a bigger part of the story. Maverick as a hero was perfectly fine but Kennedy was a bit all over the place so it was harder to connect with her.

The book had more promise and potential than it delivered. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The blurb immediately drew me in and I knew that once the wedding crasher ran into her college arch-nemesis some hilarious moments would follow. And wow, I was not prepared for it. I loved it.

I helped tremendously that Kennedy and Maverick were both interesting characters and gave as good as they got. Although their attraction to each other was subtle in the beginning, the chemistry between the two couldn't be denied. Their constant banter and bickering kept me engaged throughout and once their connection settled firmly, it was a treat to see them come to accept what they had ignored all along--that they were a perfect match for each other. Every interaction between Maverick and Kennedy that the author put in place solidified the connection between these two and helped me become invested in their story.

The secondary characters introduced into the mix all added something to the story. Be it humor, familial connections and/or small town charm, what this cast of characters brought to the page helped to make this story much more enjoyable than I anticipated. There was a wide range in emotions coupled with some laughed out loud moments as well as some sweet and swoon-worthy ones that helped round out the story well.

All in all, a wonderful romantic story.

Just admire this lovely cover for a moment. So full of sunshine and hope- this is exactly what this book is like. If I hadn't already been Robin Bielman's fan, I would have become one after reading this one!
Kennedy Martin is the kind of person who never loses her calm-at least at work and she'd better not to, as she is an ER doctor. She's a person who will listen to you attentively and genuinely care about what you're saying, ready to step in and help if necessary. So when her ex-boyfriend Reed, not the latest ex (you'll just have to read the book to find out what that one did), calls her out of blue during his bachelor party and confesses he isn't sure he wants to get married, For the sake of their friendship, she needs to help him.
There's only one snag- Kennedy wasn't invited to the wedding, which means she needs to crash the wedding to talk to him to make sure he's making the right decision. Whatever it will be. And if the event happens to take place on a ranch which belongs to her old college rival/archinemesis Maverick Owen's family, so be it. Nothing will stop this five feet tall, stubborn woman from ensuring her friend's future marital bliss. But as there's still a whole week before Reed's nuptials, there's plenty of time to find out why were Maverick and Kennedy trying to outdo each other at the pre-med school, what happened to them afterwards. There's plenty of time to fall in love (again) and maybe even have your heart broken. Or mended.
Once again, I want to sing the praises of the author who chooses a good guy as her protagonist. Romance books are full of 'flawed, but so charming' playboys-makes life interesting, right? wrong! makes life full of stress and anxiety. Give me Maverick any day! He's the proverbial good man who is so hard to find.
I absolutely adored Kennedy and her insatiable thirst for knowledge about everything and everyone around her. She's sweet, hard-working, optimistic and likeable. Maybe not as likeable as her friend Andrew with his improvised stories that kept poor Kennedy on her toes.
There were several moments in this book where I just couldn't help tearing up, but overall, There's more emotion in this book than carefree banter and it felt right. Sometimes this is exactly what you need- a sweet story of finding love when you are ready for it and not taking anything for granted, but taking care of people you love here and now.

Sweet story with heartwarming characters

Kennedy, an ER doctor, is "crashing" her ex's wedding because of his drunk phone call that is probably just cold feet. Coincidentally, the wedding is taking place at the ranch/wedding venue owned by the family of a guy she knew in college, Maverick. Sparks fly, even though Maverick isn't sure he's ready to move on from a tragic loss years ago.

The story was a little confusing at first until I realized that there were two exes in Kennedy's life - one whose wedding she's now attending, and one that has recently become engaged to her sister. One's still a friend; the other is the reason she's looking for another job.

Her friendship with her college rival, Maverick, is complex yet sweet and heartfelt. There is a strong cast of charming, small town characters who embrace the city girl and help her make the necessary decisions about her future, and there's just enough steam to showcase the chemistry that makes it impossible for either Kennedy or Maverick to walk away from the blossoming romance.

I loved the HEA, and the story was well balanced between light humor and medical tragedy. I appreciated that the tear-jerking scenes were layered with warmth and hope for the future. I recommend this romance for anyone who likes the city girl/cowboy dynamic; just keep a notepad handy to sort out who's who until you're well into the story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Kennedy is the wedding crasher who shows up at the ranch her friend is getting married at. He called her while drunk and said he didn't want to get married, so she's there to check in with him.

Maverick is the cowboy who works on the family ranch and wants to make sure Kennedy doesn't cause too much trouble during the wedding week. They knew each other in college and were competitive with each other.

I liked this dual POV story quite a bit. There were moments with humor and plenty of fun and funny moments as Kennedy tries to remain under the radar and learns about small town life. There was also some emotional moments, especially as you learn more about Maverick's past.

It was nice picking up a Robin Bielman book again and I hope we get more books set at the ranch!

This is a sweet story about two wonderful characters. Kennedy has finished all her studies and is seeking a permanent position as a doctor. She is focused and a great friend. Maverick is a great son and brother. He is kind and considerate to others. The story tracks them as they discover each other and fall in love. Both are selfless in their desires as find happiness with each other.

Oh the joy of reading a book by Robin Bielman! I absolutely loved The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy!

This enemies-to-lovers story between Kennedy and Maverick was such a pleasure to read. Fun, heartfelt, emotional and great characters, it had it all! I also loved the fun banter between Kennedy and Maverick.

Robin Bielman has written another winner and The Wedding Crasher and the Cowboy is another reason she continues to be one of my must read authors!

As an introduction to the work of Robin Bielman, The Wedding Crasher And The Cowboy seems a really good place to start and is a lovely example of an enemies to lovers/second chance romance.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the relationship that Kennedy has with her best friend Andrew and how they always have each others' back. I love Kennedy's nurturing and compassionate personality and Andrew's fun loving, charismatic humour.

I love Maverick who, on the other hand seems sullen, grumpy and slow to smile.

However, when the two meet up in questionable circumstances at Maverick's family business, initial distrust is quickly dispelled. The new relationship that develops between Kennedy and Maverick is initially based on shared experiences and quickly illustrates where friendship could have been nurtured in the past, if only their competitive streak hadn't taken up all their interactions.

What develops though is really beautiful. Their past absolutely impacts their present and, with a different perspective, their connection is quickly established.

The key to how beautifully this story develops is the illustration of the importance the author places on trust and communication. Without this, the story wouldn't have been nearly as compelling.

I'm so glad that I've been introduced to Robin Bielman and her work and look forward to finding out what comes next.
