This is a laugh a minute wedding tale! The Aunties are back and better than ever! What will happen with all the wedding hijinks? Read and find out!

Amazing book! I would highly recommend this book to my customers and patrons. I would recommend other books by the same author as well.

This follow-up to Dial A for Aunties is equally ridiculous and entertaining. Meddy and her college sweetheart Nathan are getting married in London, and her over-the-top mother and aunts are about to meet his reserved family. Plus, the wedding vendors they booked might have another agenda for the trip (murder?!).
It was fun revisiting these silly characters in this sequel. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the original, partly because the aunties' behavior gets even more out of control and it stressed me out, but it was still a very funny and enjoyable read.
Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review. All opinions are my own.

This book is really hard to rate! On one hand it was hilarious to watch the antics of this adorable family, but on the other I was really sad for meddie and Nathan on their wedding day!

The aunties are back again! After finding love in "Dial A for Aunties," this is the story of Meddy's wedding abroad. Of course her well meaning but meddlesome aunties are along for the ride! Full of misunderstandings, hilarious hijinks, and laugh out loud twists and turns, it's best for the reader to suspend disbelief in order to fully enjoy + appreciate this wild story. As with the first novel, the aunties completely baffled, charmed and endeared themselves to me. I love the author's note sharing her intention to highlight how each Asian culture and experience can look different as well as her intent to share authenticity rather than stereotypes with her novels. I will say that I was slightly disappointed with this novel as it lacked some of the charm, magic and originality of the first one. But that is completely on me as I had such high expectations from the first Aunties. Definitely worth the fun and witty read, pre-order your copy now, Aunties hits the shelves March 29, 2022! And be sure to check out the rest of Jesse Q. Sutano's books.
Thank you so much to Berkley Publishing + Netgalley for my advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Another amazing hit by Sutanto! The aunties are back and better than ever - even funnier and sassier than the first novel! The protagonist is a great narrator and the aunties just amplify her character that much more. A light read with an unexpected twist in the plot, absolutely loved it!

The aunties are back! This time it is for Meddy’s wedding to Nathan. But when she find out that the family they hired to be their vendor team is actually the mafia and has plans to take down one of their guests, the aunties come in to save the day.
Oh my goodness I haven’t laughed my way through a book like this in a long time. I wasn’t sure I could love this book as much as I loved Dial A for Aunties, but I did. The aunties found themselves in some interesting situations and it was hilarious to see how they handled it. Truly what could be better than the aunties taking on the mafia.
Aside from the funny moments, I love the family relationships in this series. This is truly a family that will do anything for each other and loves each other unconditionally.
In the author’s note, Jesse Q. Sutano mentions she wanted to show how not all Asian immigrants have the same experiences and how she wanted to show that through this book. I appreciated getting different points of view through Meddy and Nathan’s families.
Overall, I LOVED this book and I’m hoping for more from this series in the future!
Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the advanced copy!

Hilarious hijinks and manic mayhem rule the day in this sequel, 4 AUNTIES AND A WEDDING. This time around Meddy Chan, bumbling beauty, is marrying her sweetie, Nathan, in England. She wants her family to enjoy themselves at her wedding, so she hires a wedding planner vendor. Meddy jives with Staphanie and her family is loony just like hers. Meddy relaxes, dreaming of her perfect wedding. Nothing will go wrong, right?
Only, everything goes wrong. Meddy and aunties are running interference, covering up the fact that Staphanie and her family are mafia and ordered a hit on someone. The aunties rule the roost, dive in and save the day! Nathan is concerned but Meddy irons out the wrinkles, so to speak. With everything going down hill, will Meddy's perfect day be ruined?
4 AUNTIES AND A WEDDING is intoxicating, risky and a total hoot! Meddy and family are at it again dealing with pesky problems, hiding evidence, blabbing lies, and more in Ms. Sutanto's hilarious new story. There are debatable decisions, stress-filled moments, slapstick humor and more. Meddy's fiancé Nathan is supportive and understanding, but there is a limit to how far his patience will go. He knows something is up, but the question is what? I almost got whiplash as Meddy, the aunties and ma, race around trying to fix everything. Oh boy, this book is a doozy! Totally off-the-wall fun with many surprises thrown in. Ms. Sutanto is a master at Lucy Ricardo moments. I laughed so hard at the aunties antics who completely steal the show! Go ahead and indulge with 4 AUNTIES AND A WEDDING. It's a laugh-a-minute, sudsy bubble, escapist fare!

Once again, Jesse Sutanto has written an absolutely FABULOUS book. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. My stomach is cramping from laughing so hard.

The aunties are back! Book one was one of my favorite books of 2021, so I was so excited for a sequel! I enjoyed this second outing a lot- quick pace and laugh out loud funny.

This sequel to Dial "A" for Aunties is even better! The aunts are delightful, the humor is gentle and loving, and the situations, although absolutely ridiculous, nevertheless manage to work. Really enjoyed this one and look forward to recommending it to cozy mystery lovers who want something fun and different.

Four Aunties and a Wedding was the perfect follow up to Dial A, Jesse’s writing is so freakin hilarious. Her voice is electric and the aunties had me cackling page after page (particularly the plane scene with the British accents 🤣). I loved seeing the relationship between Meddy and Nathan. Most of all, it’s a beautiful story about family. 💖 Full review to come!

Meddy Chan is back and delightful as ever! A recommended first purchase for all public fiction collections.

Another funny romp down the aisle for Jesse Sutano. The follow up to "Dial A fur Aunties" continues the over-the-top family of Meddie Chen. and her perfect match, Nathan, heading to Oxford for a beautiful English wedding.
Once again, we're treated to insanity from the Aunties, questionable decisions about communication from Meddie, and a perfectly supportive and understanding hero.
This is a quick, fun read. Patrons/readers should definitely read the first book before this one.
It's a fun follow up, but not a stand alone.
Thanks for the ARC!

I absolutely loved Dial A for Aunties. So many times while reading, I had to pause and laugh out loud while thinking about my own family. Four Aunties and a Wedding was a wonderful sequel. I would recommend Dial A for Aunties before reading this book to understand all the jokes and history. I cannot wait to read another book starring the aunties!

The Four Aunties are at it again- and this time they’re squaring up against the mafia.
I really enjoyed this sequel and had lots of laughs. The aunties were just as funny, they were definitely the bigger standouts. I didn’t love Meddelin this time around and got frustrated a few times with the wedding plot, particularly with Nathan! Overall I really enjoyed it though.

Another hilarious adventure from Meddy and her crazy aunts. I thought the actual plot was a little weak this time and some of the story was too contrived but I still laughed. I preferred the first story but will definitely read another auntie saga.

I really enjoyed Sutanto’s debut -- I thought it was funny and thoughtful and just a really fun romp. But some of the emotional aspects really threw me off, namely that Meddy doesn’t seem at all affected by the fact that she killed someone. I’d have to say that I had the same feelings about this book: I really liked the premise but portions of it were too stressful for me to totally give into the rompiness of it.
The aunties are back in full force, absolutely hilarious and also a little tear-provoking. The airplane scene was truly laugh-out-loud funny to me. But the fact that the meat of this book takes place on Meddy’s wedding day was so stressful to me! Obviously I knew that it would all end up okay, but if I had to deal with all that she did on my wedding day, I’d simply be a puddle. I think my stress levels prevented me from enjoying the book as much as I expected to from the first 25%.
I’m rounding this up from 3.5 to 4 stars because I really do think that it’s a “not you but me” situation. If this series continues, I’ll definitely be picking up the next installment.

I was happy to see that I had been approved for this one on Netgalley. After reading about Meddy and her family in the first book I was curious to see what would be in store for them in the sequel. I will say that these books can be over-the-top and if that’s something you don’t like seeing then it may not be for you. It’s definitely a series that is in a whole category of its own when it comes to mixing rom-com with mystery.
The beginning of the book starts off with a note from the author. This sets up the story nicely as she shows us how she found her inspiration for what is to come in the book. It also gives us incite into what is was like to grow up for her and how her husband grew up even though their families came from the same place but moved away. It can be referred to as English diaspora which I can’t recall learning about before but glad I know about it now.
Meddy and her aunties are still funny as ever as they take on the task of a wedding. It is a big task but the aunties are ready to get the job done and find everything Meddy needs. This does cause some issues as she doesn’t want to shoot them down since they are trying to be helpful. I liked seeing how Meddy dealt with it all and still remained fairly calm, haha.
Since this book was to deal with another mystery, I was curious how it would play out especially with a wedding going on. I will say that it was better than what I had expected even if it had over-the-top drama. I think it helped me going in knowing that it would be the case after reading book one. This is why these books stand out so well. They are fun and a unique twist to the genre. I didn’t expect the plot twists that were to come which made it even better.
There is a great conversation to be had when it comes to people and how they are perceived by others as well as how upbringings can be different for everyone. Meddy’s aunties are a wild bunch but it is what makes them special. I’ve always liked that they stayed true to themselves. It gets hard for Meddy when they have to meet Nathan’s parents and they just don’t understand them or their mannerisms. I would definitely have no problem telling them their wrong like Meddy did as well as Nathan sticking up for them too.
Overall, this was another fun read by this author that I liked!

This was a riot. "Dial A for Aunties" was absolutely delightful, so I was thrilled to see a sequel all ready to go. The aunties are present and their shenanigans are dialed up to 11. Yes, the twist at the end is obvious, but this is too spit-out-your-beverage funny to care. Komodo dragon hats for all!
