Jack Reacher is just getting better with time. I tried so hard to hold back and not devour this book as soon as I got it, this story is absolutely the best so far. I am amazed with every book how current events are prudent to the story. On that note, the description and logistics are on point as well. I will be rereading this book, as usual. As well as recommending this series to anyone who has not read it, those individuals are few and far between.
This will be a book club book in the coming months and a recommendation.
I loved the fast pace of the book and the conclusion I did not see coming. I hope Reacher makes it to the ocean.

4 stars

Andrew Grant continues the Jack Reacher series with his brother Lee Child. Typical Reacher story-Jack is walking, comes across someone in dire need, and helps them fight the bad guys.

As of fan of the Jack Reacher series, this book met my expectations and fits perfectly in mold of prior novels. The organization was somewhat disjointed but presumably that will be modified before publication.

It had plenty of action scenes along with building suspense. The secondary characters draw the reader into the story as well as bring their own mysterious background and ulterior motives. Reacher continues to deliver as one of the best fictional characters created.

I have read and loved every Jack Reacher novel, but I was disappointed in this one. I found the plot thin and strained. There was really no character development. It was just Jack on a quest at the Mexican border fighting and killing bad guys. As a female reader, I missed the attention to hygiene and the little romance that humanized Reacher and didn’t just make him a killing machine.

Yes, the killing and chases are thrilling, but I found something missing. I’m looking forward to reading a more evolved Reacher adventure, as I loved in the past.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

Wow loved it!! I've just started to get into thriller, mystery type genres and this is my first Reacher novel! And I loved it! This book had suspense, action, intrigue and it was thrilling! Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! I can't wait for more! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! Big thank you to both Child authors for your amazing words!

Better Off Dead is the 26th thriller in Lee Child’s long-running Jack Reacher series, now cowritten with his younger brother who will eventually take over the franchise. Reacher is a Six foot five trained ex military police officer who has never exactly settled into civilian life. He has no home, no car, no regular job. Instead, he’s on permanent walkabout wherever whim takes him. Reacher never finds trouble is too far distant and he has a penchant for helping others.

This one finds Reacher in the border zone of Arizona where he comes upon a Jerome smashed into a tree and ends up in a plot which puts him on the slab in a morgue.

Reacher finds a villain Bond could be proud of and his loyal crew in a plot with far-reaching international implications. He shouldn’t be involved. He had every opportunity to walk away. But he keeps poking around in the hot dry desert, looking for things that don’t make sense.

of course, there’s lot of action and the pace is rather deadly. The plot though is at times a bit confusing, particularly who is working for who and why.

Another winner! This novel is fast paced Reacher at its' best. The story started with action and picked up in pace to a crazy conclusion that I didn't see coming. I found myself totally engrossed in the story and flipping pages just as quickly as possible. Don't start this one too late in the evening, as you won't be able to put it down.

This is a must read for fans of the genre. The authors are on my must read authors' list.

I was kind of worried when Andrew child, Lee child's brother, was going to be taking over writing the Jack reacher series but this is the second book they have worked together on and I can barely notice a difference in the writing.

In better off dead, reacher is still kicking ass and taking names! This book is set in Arizona and of course reacher stumbles onto a woman that needs help and bombs and bad guys galore.

Some people may say these books and the reacher series are all the same premise and a lot of them are but there's a reason lead child is sold millions upon millions of books because people like it it's easy reading that's interesting and fun and knowing what to expect isn't always a bad thing and the child's always keep it fresh and interesting.

So seen as how this is my favorite series ever I would 100% recommend this book!

Fantastic. I’m not sure I like the first person as much, but it was very well done.

There is a typo in location 2765 of the kindle version.
