I really enjoyed this book by Rachael Lippincott and Alyson Derrick. I loved the unique Pittsburgh setting, the enemies-to-lovers trope coupled with a list of things to accomplish with She's All That vibes. The book made me really excited to read more content by Alyson Derrick in the future. I was taken out of the story a few times by some things that didn't feel accurate to current teens (i.e. mentions of Facebook and Facebook invites) and was at times frustrated by the lack of growth and development of the character ARCs and their relationships with their family, but for the most part, I felt like this was such a cute love story. I look forward to reading more from both of these authors writing both separately and together.

I loved this book. Fun alternating POV chapters with two very different main characters. They were both so interesting and I loved reading from each girl's perspective. A great take on a classic setup!

A new take on My Fair Lady mixed in with She’s All That meets what If It’s Us! Alex Blackwood is chaotic, flirtatious, and a bit of a mess. She’s good at getting the girl but the problem for her is keeping the girl, and when said girl breaks up with her Alex finds she wants to make a change and finally keep the girl. Molly Parker is shy, awkward, and hopelessly in love with a girl she thinks will never notice her. When Alex and Molly meet, they find that they might be the right person to help the other. Alex see’s the chance to help Molly get her crush as proving to her sort of on a break girlfriend that she is capable of making friends and of caring for another person. Molly see’s Alex as being the girl with all the social skills to help her overcome her lack of skills and being her first real best friend. Soon Alex offers to help Molly get her crush and set the plan in motion, but the more time they spend together the more Alex and Molly realize that they really like one another and that despite their differences, they fit better together than they realize. This was a super sweet and cute story, I loved getting to know both Alex and Molly and their separate struggles and seeing them fall for one another. Their friendship was adorable and the way they care and understand one another was just amazing. I would highly recommend this book!

An amazingly sweet romance novel. Sometimes the thing you want turns out not to be the best for you. Take a journey of self discovery, bravery and friendship.

Trigger warnings: Alcoholic parent, internalized racism and self deprecation.

Yeah, unfortunately I just wasn't really a fan of this. I realized shortly after starting the book that the premise wasn't one that really was gonna work for me, and also it... reminded me of Riverdale.

In this story we have Alex Blackwell and Molly Parker who are college freshmen and are sooo completely different ~ Hmm are they really?

I know I am not the target audience for this but since I loved the others I read I thought I would enjoy this!

This book was so lovely, it really did suck me in, if I wasn't wrapping up my semester I'm sure I would've read it in one go. Right of the bat, when both main characters mentioned not having friends, I was immediately drawn in. I knew I would relate to them so much and I was right. It really is such a hopeful and heartwarming book to read. Both Alex and Molly's stories hit very close to home (especially Alex since that's my name).

Their journeys were so inspiring to read about, like if they could do it, anyone else can. I'm glad they got their happy ending. (Is that a spoiler? I mean it's in the title. She does in fact get the girl)

I definitely recommend picking this up when I comes out!

Pitch-perfect sapphic romance, with two likeable characters you can't help but to root for. The bumps on the way to Happily Ever After are realistic but not insurmountable, and the smile on my face after I finished it? Pure joy. This book is why I read romance and I can't wait to see what the authors come up with next.

She Gets the Girl is a cute little romance between some college freshmen who are navigating the independence and new environment that entering college provides as well as finding their first real relationship. Molly, the shy, awkward girl whose mom is her best friend, and Alex, the confident flirt who's been taking care of her alcoholic mom for years, couldn't be more different. Their friendship starts as a mutually beneficial project with the goal of getting them each their dream girl, but they each learn reality is better than fantasy. This would be great for High/Low readers.

This is a great book. I was hooked from the opening scene. The characters are well written and the storyline of a coming of age story is very accessible to readers.

This book makes the classic matchmaking/opposites attract tropes work. The characters are fun and interesting.

Alex may have the swagger that all the girls love but no one really knows her. Molly knows exactly what and who she wants, or so she thinks. Do you think they might learn a thing or two about themselves from each other?

I love that Molly is casually introduced as being Asian-American. It provides some diversity without feeling "token".

A light and enjoyable read that covers a lot of ground.

I’m pretty obviously a sucker for a sapphic romance, and this was a pretty quality one. First things first: yes, there is a roller skating scene in this book, and it’s wonderful, so the cover does not lie. Yay!

I adored the characters and how real they seemed,, and how real their relationship progression also felt. There were times while reading this book that it felt almost like I was just sitting back and watching a movie (an adorable rom com, no less) and that is some of the highest praise I can give a book. It gave me all kinds of warm fuzzies while also managing to tackle some real issues (a parent struggling with alcoholism and internalized racism, to name the big ones).

I absolutely adored the characters in this book. They felt believable and their growth throughout the book felt real. The banter was funny, but not corny. There were so many gay references that felt authentic rather than stereotypical. Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a coming of age story with a side of romance.

A refreshing, delightful, lesbian romantic comedy. Characters are well developed and tackle very relatable issues as the start college away from two extremely opposite home lives. Loved the plot, but the alternating perspectives just didn't work for this story. Because the characters are constantly together, it was sometimes difficult to tell who's voice you were reading, and the coauthors often recapped each other's chapters, so there was a repetitiveness that made the book drag on. Still it was a very enjoyable story and pretty satisfying ending. Great to see wlw representation in a classic trope.

Cute story, but it's got some heavy themes as well (alcoholism, emotionally abusive relationship). The main characters were both relatable with their quirks and issues, from Molly's awkward, self-consciousness around her crush to Alex's desire to avoid emotional entanglements. You'll find yourself rooting for them in this quick, feel-good novel.

A perfect f/f YA! I devoured this book in one sitting and would read three more books about Alex and Molly. The entire book is full of voice and great dialogue and very sweet storylines. Loved it!
