The cover of this book pulled me in immediately and the summary sounded cool so I was excited to read this book. Unfortunately, the story tells instead of showing. It also is somehow repetitive and manages still not to get it’s point across. It was a tough read from the start and didn’t get any easier as time went on. I’m disappointed because I had high hopes for this book.

Too many intricate explanations, the author needs to see the value in "show not tell" in their writing.
The protagonist came across as such a know it all, listing all of her amazing perfect accomplishments, from her high IQ and high test scores...snore.
A personal annoyance of mine was all the religion in this book, I'm not a fan of how it was handled here, personally.

this book had an interesting concept but a questionable execution. i thought i was going to get percy jackson vibes but i just got ‘15 year old girl who is good at everything’ and it was really unrealistic. too many details. i prefer it when authors show, not tell. the writing style wasn’t for me and things weren’t adding up
