A lovely gift book and keepsake. This is s special one to have with a best friend. You fill it in together and keep you memories and secrets safe and secure. A lovely thing to look back upon in the future.

Forever Friends is a journal for two best friends to complete together, asking lots of questions about things such as why they are friends, likes etc. Its colourful with yellow and grey plus little motifs

My only.issue with it is that I'm not quite sure what age range its aimed at. The questions perhaps seemed to be more for teenagers than adults, so would.suit me but might do my teenage daughter.

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

I cannot wait to do these activities with my best friend. We know each other as well as two people can and there’s questions in here even we don’t know. Lots of this or that’s questions. Tons of open ended questions so you can really tell your bestie how much they mean to you.

Especially with all the uncertainties and sadness in the world this is an important activity.

While I love the concept of this book, I’m not sure it really succeeds completely in execution. “Friendship journals” were popular when I was growing up and I remember them being colorful and fun and included not only pages with prompts that could be answered and shared/compared, but also blank pages for drawing and writing notes or copying quotes that reminded us of each other. This is a “grown up” version of that in design, but the content remains the same. The aesthetic seems geared towards adult women, but the the pages more for tweens or teens. My students thought the idea was good but said they’d never want to buy it. “It looks like something my mom or teacher would have.” My adult friends said it was pretty but they’d never use it. That pretty much sums it all up to me. I guess there’s a niche market?

This is a lovely item and would make such a great gift for a close friend. I really liked the fact that you would each complete it and sometimes you would try to complete it together too. As I was looking through the pages I kept imagining how wonderful it would be to be able to look back on the entries with your best friend in years to come.
Overall this is a slightly unusual journal that would make a really thoughtful gift to a close friend.
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review.

Forever Friends is such a delightful keepsake journal. Each question has a colour coded section for you and your bestie to write your answers side by side. These questions cover everything! From more serious thought provoking ones to whether you'd rather have wings or a mermaid tail. It's a lovely way of jotting down your own precious memories and reading your bestie's thoughts and feelings. You'll be sure to learn something new, as well as reminisce about the old. The only problem is who gets to keep it once it's completed!

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review

Friends Forever is an interactive journal to be filled out by two people as a keepsake tribute to their friendship. Due out 24th Aug 2021 from Quarto on their Chartwell imprint, it's 204 pages and will be available in paperback format.

This is a book full of writing and memory prompts gathered thematically: meeting, celebrations, deeper thoughts, dreams and aspirations, uplifting and encouraging, changes, and just for fun. The prompts are varied and many of them really do invite reflection and thought to complete ("How would your relationship be different if your friend were your sister or brother rather than your BFF"? Followed by "Do you think you would be closer or not as close"?).

The graphics are clean and high contrast and very pretty to look at in silver and lemon yellow. The colors correspond to the prompts for the two friends to fill out. The areas for answering the prompts are lined, some have highlighted text boxes to frame the answers. Since I was given an electronic copy for review, I can't evaluate the quality of the paper.

This would be a nice gift, perhaps bundled with some writing supplies and personalized with some extra photos or printed screenshots to make it a true keepsake journal. I think there are some situations where the book could also be used for a colleague or friend who is leaving a job or graduating from school. The prompts are mostly appropriate for two people, but it could (possibly) be filled out by more than two.

Three and a half stars. Niche applications where the book could be appropriate, but not for libraries or multiple-use.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.
