I LOVE this series! I’m so excited for the next one! It’s an easy read with twists and turns throughout the entire book. Recommend once again!

So… I love this series with my whole heart.

Knocks ‘Em Dead was a lot funnier than the first, I found myself laughing out loud constantly. Vero is my favorite (not only cause we share a name) she has the best line delivery and the sarcasm just leaps off the page! I was dying at all the crime innuendos SO good! 🤣 I’m jumping ship to team Nick 👀 because he’s one smart cookie, and he has nice biscuits I guess 😉

5 stars but really it’s a 10 for laughs 😂

I enjoyed getting to know the characters better. I still do not like Findlay’s ex-husband. This book wasn’t as funny as the first one but still a fun read. The mystery was full of surprises and kept me guessing.

This book isbso much more than a sequel. As we get to know our characters better, we fall even more in love with them.

This book starts where we left off in book one. I’m happy to report that it was just as funny as the first book, maybe even more.

One of the best things about this series is the friendship between Finlay and Vero. Very is hilarious but so is Finlay. They get along so well but in this book we kind of see their friendship go much deeper. Vero has some problems, which I figured out right away. I think that Finlay was just hoping to stay in the dark until she couldn’t. It was quite obvious. We still don’t really have Vero’s story in this book but I’m hoping it will come to light in the next book. The banter and wit these two have make for such an entertaining read.

There is a bit of a love triangle, still. I’m not much for those but I think that Cosimano handles it really well. Finlay is still trying to get her life together and she’s kind of at a crossroads in many aspects. What makes more sense than have to figure out the love part too. Of course, I totally think she needs to stick with one guy in particular, but I won’t say who!

This book is really fast paced! There’s so much action and so many different things going on that it makes it hard to put down. Before you know it, the book is over. It’s so much fun and it’s kind of over the top and no at all realistic. I think that’s what I love about it though. It’s just the perfect book to get away, try to get out of a rut, or even a good palate cleanser between heavy books.

I highly recommend this series!! They can get a little gross in the details and you wonder what the heck they are thinking, a lot. It’s just a great time though and the humor is top notch! I cannot wait for the next one!!

Usually the 2nd book in a series pales in comparison to the 1st, but this did not disappoint! I loved Finlay Donovan is Killing It and Elle Cosimano didn’t disappoint with Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead. I was guessing until the very last page and the cliff hanger…wow!

I enjoy this series as it is light and fun, mostly makes me laugh out loud. Reminds me of the Stephanie Plum and Charley Davidson series. Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead is the second book in the Finlay Donovan series. In the first book, we have Finlay Donovan, an author, who was describing her plot to her agent in a crowded Panera. She details the life of a hired contract killer, only to find a message that one of the customers believes that Finlay is a real contract killer. I can get enough of Finlay and Vero’s ultra smart banters, whirlwind action packed plot, engaging, genuine character development and always surprising,

Yet again I have enjoyed Finlay! This one was slightly better than the first one for sure. Bigger plot, bigger messes, and bigger, better Finlay. This was such a fun read and I can't wait to read the third installment.

I absolutely applaud Elle's ability to write a story that navigates motherhood, humor, two love interests, the mob, and crazy predicaments with the nanny in such a delightful way. This was somehow even funnier, even more crazy, and just as wonderful as book one! I absolutely love this series!

Thank you to Minotaur Books for the eARC. All thoughts are my own.

This was a light, fluffy, and funny continuation of the first book. Finlay annoyed me a little in the first book, it seems like by book 2 she’s evolved into a grownup... She did need some grace during her transition to single mom/contract unaliver. lol I really liked cozy mystery. I still love Vero, and I hate Steven a little less... Let's also take a minute to appreciate Detective Nick shall we? That ending... make sure you have book 3 ready to go!

My favorite line: "But just because you can survive alone doesn’t mean you should have to."

★★ 4.5 stars! ★★

Finlay is back and just as good (if not better) as the first time around! Reminiscent of Stephanie Plum, Finlay and her sidekick, Vero, find themselves caught up in a web of cybercrime and hired killers—all while keeping Finlay's kids and ex-husband alive.

I love the hilarity of the hijinx and absurd situations they find themselves in, plus the will-they-or-won't-they tension between Finlay, her young, underwear-model lawyer, and her hot cop.

I can't wait for the next book!

We can all agree that Finlay Donovan had a hell of a year, and I imagine the next one won't be any easier.

Let me start by saying that a sequel was not what I expected, but I wasn't disappointed either.
I mean, most of this is the copycat of the first one - same characters going around, same occurrences happening, same book magically written at the end, even the same ending -, but not in a bad way.
Not completely, at least.

The best and the worst haven't changed, too: the female friendships are just superior, the types to die for - and I'm not only speaking about Finn and Vero’s; and the way every single person underestimates this woman is still laughable, mostly because she has to pretend to be naive, but I don't know for how much time.
But here’s something that shocked me and genuinely made me jump from my bed: why had the author implied Vero could be a cop, to just never said anything else? I've realized, around the fifth or sixth rereading, that the situation is confused and frenetic because it has to match Finn’s emotional state, but the whole interaction is just misleading: Vero says to 911 she's an officer because a real officer just got shot, and Finn mutters to herself to “please, don't say it” in a way that implies she had suspects on Vero but wasn't sure. Is it misleading on purpose or is it just confusing? Or maybe I misread the whole thing.

Anyway, another good dive into Finaly Donovan’s unpredictable career. Onto the next adventure!

Thanks to St. Martin’s Press, Minotaur Books and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.

In book two of the Finlay Donovan series, we pick up with Finlay and Vero trying to prevent "Easy Clean" from taking out her ex husband, Steven, permanently. We see Finlay and Vero getting closer in this book, the kids growing to enjoy Detective Nick coming around and we also see more of the family dynamic before the ladies save his sorry a$s a few times and of course, he is blaming them for all of the attempted hits on him as well. Will Finlay finish her next novel before Silvia loses her cool? Will Steven realize he has been a fool and does need the help of Finlay and Vero, and Georgia and the police to stay alive? Will Finlay finally admit she does have feelings for Nick??

Elle Cosimano does it again with another funny Finlay book! While this one was not my favourite, it was still amazing & better than many books I read. I found myself stressed out for Finlay & Vero on numerous occasions, but Elle figures out how to get them out of a jam and keep us laughing every time!

Thank you Minotaur Books for a copy of Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead!

"Finlay Donovan is—once again—struggling to finish her next novel and keep her head above water as a single mother of two. On the bright side, she has her live-in nanny and confidant Vero to rely on, and the only dead body she's dealt with lately is that of her daughter's pet goldfish."

I love this series -- though this one was a bit up and down with the plot. I still very much enjoy the characters and I can't wait to see what Finlay and Vero get to in Book 3!

Another knock-out by Elle Cosimano. Finlay is an engaging, easy to love character. I can't wait to progress in this series!

Somehow this topped book 1 for me! I absolutely loved this and love Finlay and Vero even more. I can’t wait to see what they get up to in book 3 😂 this is very reminiscent of Janet Evanovich books for me!

This is one of my favorite series, I love Finlay Donovan. His book is a great continuation of the series and the writing is so well done. I just love the characters and the antics they get up to. Yes it’s unrealistic but it’s so much fun and I enjoy them.

Thank you NetGalley for the free digital copy. I also have a purchased physical copy of the book!

Finlay and Vero are back with another great adventure and it was just as much fun as book 1 if not more fun!
Finlay is, once again, working on finishing her next novel and make it through each day as a single mom when she somehow finds herself in the center of another murder plot...but this time it's her ex-husband.
The characters in this series are truly what make it so great - Finlay and Vero are the best team!
