Former fighter and Ivy League football player Mark Tullius wanted to support his friends with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). But when presented with a scan of his own grey matter, his life changed forever. After years of lying to himself and insisting he felt fine, Tullius had to face the fact that his time on the field and in the cage had caused potentially irreparable damage inside his skull.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. The author talks about his experiences, as well as, other’s experiences with concussions, TBI and possibly the formation of CTE. There are several treatments one can try to heal the brain after such injuries, In addition, it discusses what is happening in the brain during and after these injuries. I am grateful this book because I have had two concussions and have recently aggravated my symptoms in a fall. Now, I have some treatments is can try, in addition to, my physical therapy and vestibular exercises. Of course, I am worried about the possibility of getting dementia, altimizers, and/or CTE.

P. S. The author and my birthday is 9 days apart.
