Engaging and clever cozy mystery. Enjoyable characters with interesting potential. I thought I had read the first one in the series, but it seems as if I have not. I plan to do so and look forward to reading the next one.

Thank you NetGalley, Amanda Flower and Poisoned Pen Press for the copy of Put Out to Pasture. This is my personal review.
Farm to Table Mysteries Series is such a fun easy cozy mystery series to read that I can not wait for the next one in the series. Put Out to Pasture is a great second book in this series.
Shiloh and her organic farm are the setting for this book where she has set up a festival on the farm to sell her organic goodies. The day was going great until the very end when a local woman is found dead with a scarf belonging to Shiloh’s BFF’s wrapped around her neck!
Shiloh now has her hands full not only to save her farm but now to save her best friend and to help clear her from this crime.
Grab this book and settle in for a great read- you will be so glad you did.

So, if you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know that Amanda Flower is one of my favourite cozy authors. For me, her books are pretty much a safe bet. PUT OUT TO PASTURE, the second in the Farm to Table series is no different. The mystery is solid and the characters are charming.

I really like Shiloh and the residents of Cherry Falls. Spending time at the farm and seeing how Shiloh’s working to save it is great. It’s really interesting to see all her plans for rebuilding and converting the family farm to organic produce. She’s come a ways since the first book, but there’s still a lot to do. Of course, it’s sort of one disaster after another and this latest murder doesn’t do her any favours.

It’s a quick read, full of small town cattiness and conflict. I’m looking forward to continuing Shiloh’s adventures and seeing both how the romantic storyline plays out, and how the latest business stumble (with a new rival) pans out. Will Shiloh ever find her grandmothers ‘treasure’? Is it cash to save the farm, or something else? I need to know!

While I didn’t love PUT OUT TO PASTURE as much as some of Flower’s other mysteries, it’s still a very solid story. I also preferred it to the first book in the series, FARM TO TROUBLE, a sign that the series is going good places.

Author, Amanda Flower, brings us another great cozy mystery. This is the second in her series, Farm to Table. Drawing on her own experience with farming and farm living, we learn things about farming and beekeeping, as well as how the main character, Shiloh, works to improve the farm her grandmother left her and turn it into an organic farm.

During a fall festival that Shiloh hosts on her farm, the body of one of the town’s prominent citizens is found dead in one of the fields. Shiloh’s best friend is accused of the murder and Shiloh works hard to figure out who the murderer could be as she knows her friend could not possibly have done this.

There are many characters in this book. As the story develops, there are many clues given as to who the murderer might be. As the murderer was revealed, I was surprised. I do look forward to reading the next installment of this series to see how other relationships in the book develop.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher, Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for my honest review. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries.

While I enjoyed this one more than the first one in the series I still not sure how I feel about the series as a whole. I do know that this one is my least of Amanda Flower's cozy mystery series. I enjoy the writing but I don't like the characters.

This is the type of cozy mystery I've come to love- an adorable town, a likable protagonist, and a mystery to keep you on your toes. Currently living in Michigan, I also appreciated the nodes to the beauty that is this state!

A forewarning to future readers- this book is clearly meant to be part of a series, so it will feel a little abrupt at the end with the personal conflicts of the characters, but otherwise, a really cute read to snuggle up with under a blanket this winter.

I. AM. OBSESSED!

I recently noticed that Scribd offered a copy of Amanda Flower's first book, Farm to Trouble. Farm to Trouble is the first book in Amanda's new series, Farm to Table Mystery Series.

First off, Amanda Flower has been sitting on my cozy shelf for years. Crime and Poetry was one of the first cozies I ever borrowed from the library. When I saw she was writing a new cozy mystery series that took place on a working farm, I knew it was meant to be. I binge the first book in one afternoon. (*Don't tell my boss LOL)

Anyways, Put Out to Pasture immediately picks up in the new fall season and BOY, does this not disappoint. Shiloh and her bookworm heart and soul, ALONE, makes her an enjoyable main character. Kristy, her best friend, hits a bit of trouble and Shiloh goes above and beyond to clear her besties name.

Also, QUINN KILLIAN......I see you!!!! Shiloh isn't the only reason I'm continuing with this series and adding Amanda Flower to my auto buy list!

FIVE STARS!

This is the second book in the new "Farm To Table" mystery series by beloved cozy author Amanda Flower. I have read all the authors series and this is one of my favorites. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity. My review opinion is my own.

In this next in series we return to the farm that our protagnist Shiloh has saved from bankruptcy by turning it into a organic farm . She is dealing with her grumpy Father who does not like the changes to the farm . Shiloh decides to hold a Fall Festival at the farm to generate business and interest in the farm. During the festival a murder occurs and Shiloh musst save her reputation by solving this mysterious death. When her best friend Kristy is accused Shiloh must step up to save her friend as well as her farm.

This was a well crafted mystery that kept me guessing to conclusion. The supporting charcters are wonderful and all add likability to the story. Shiloh is a smart savvy protagnist and a hard worker trying her best to save the family farm in spite of her Father's dislike . I enjoy the farm setting and the organic farm is a fun unique addition to a cozy. A excellent next in series. I look forward to reading the next in series.

This is the second book in the Farm to Table Mysteries and I really really enjoyed this one a lot more than the first book. I give this book 4,5 stars.

Shiloh is barely scraping by on the farm's new organic business model and the fall festival she organized to drum up business comes to a screeching halt when the body of a prominent townswoman is discovered underneath a scarecrow in a nearby field. Worst of all, the evidence points to Shiloh's childhood best friend, Kristy, as the prime suspect.

This is a fun read with both an enjoyable mystery and some side drama going on. I didn’t figure out the mystery before Shiloh did and that is good.

In the previous book the characters were so mean to the heroine and that was something I didn’t like. That is luckily not the case in this book.

I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book because I wanna know more about the hidden treasure and how Shiloh is going to manage the farm.

Great cozy mystery. Shi has come home to her family farm hoping to salvage it from ruins. It is completely run down and will take a lot of work and money to bring it back to what it once was. Determined to raise money, Shi has a Fall Daze Festival, and people are coming out in droves. Everything is going great, until the body of the town grump, Minnie, is found near the scarecrow. As the mystery unfolds, more details about Minnie's past come to light, and it seems that Minnie was not who everyone thought she was. With more than one suspect running around, but the police focused on Shi's best friend, Kristy, it is up to Shi to sift through the suspects and find the real killer. Great characters, enjoyable plot, and fun farming facts!
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the second book in the Farm to Table Mysteries and the first I’ve read in this new cozy series. However, I had no problem jumping right in and figuring out all of the characters. Shiloh has moved back home to Cherry Glen, MI and is slowly reviving the deprived family farm. This was a great setting. Not only did the murder happen on the farm during a fall festival, but you spend several scenes with Shiloh as she feeds the temperamental chickens, starts to tackle the overgrown cherry orchard, inherits some unexpected bee hives and shares her plans for the future of the Bellamy Farms.

The mystery part was very captivating. The victim had a shocking, hidden past as a wanted criminal leaving several plausible suspects to sort through. I honestly fell for one of many red herrings and ended up selecting the wrong culprits.

I definitely want to go back and read the first book in the series to see how it all started. I love this author’s writing style and I’m already invested in these characters! She has a cantankerous father to deal with, a budding yet difficult romance to sort through, a new competitive neighbor who has the vision and means to revive his own farm and then the added mystery of her grandmother’s hidden treasure. Can’t wait too see what adventures Shi and her cute pug stumble across next.

I have been following the book from the beginning. I supposed you can read this as a standalone but it would help to have read the others for background. The development of the story line across multiple books is one of the themes. There is an ongoing side mystery that piques your interest. I find myself rooting for Shiloh.

Michigan, cozy-mystery, relationships, small-town, rural, falsely-accused, family, friendship, vindictive, murder, murder-investigation, amateur-sleuth, law-enforcement, farming, farm-animals, pets*****

Well done whodunit! Lots of interpersonal drama centered around some truly unpleasant characters, accusations by the local law only looking for the most expedient answer, and our sleuth's best friend finding herself at the top of the suspect list. Add in a new neighbor, a US Marshall bringing a whole new aspect to the case, a Siamese cat, a pet Pug, and more. I really loved it on this snowy afternoon.
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Poisoned Pen Press via NetGalley. Thank you!

This is an ideal book for autumn, the setting is during October & a fall festival is where it all starts. Shiloh is continuing to try & improve her family farm when another murder falls into her lap. This time she has to clear the name of her childhood friend Kristy. All of the farm descriptions & the seasonal mentions really are perfect to put you in the mood for autumn. I liked this mystery even more than the first book so I can confidently say that this is a good series to start!

Put Out to Pasture was a quick read. The main character Shiloh Bellemy who has come home from CA to save her family's farm. The supporting characters all were good to make this story very interesting. Shiloh has decided to have a fall event to raise money for her farm. Minnie Devani, alias Joan Marino, a bee keeper and runs a booth at the Farmer's Market is murdered in her pasture near a scarecrow during the event. She was strangled with her childhood friend, Kristy Brown's scarf which makes her the prime suspect. Shiloh goes through many adventures to try to find out who did kill Minnie. Some of her adventures did make me chuckle with the situations she got herself into.. There are run-ins with Doreen Killion, a friend of Minnie's, who has a dislike towards Shiloh as she blames for the death of Logan Graham who was killed as a teenager in an automobile accident. There is Lynn Chuff who is a US marshall who has been looking for Minnie for past robberies. Her new neighbor, Tanner Birchwood adds mystery to the story. The ending was as expected with the discovery who the murderer was.

I enjoy this series and look forward to see the next adventure of Shiloh. This book left the reader wondering if there is a romance between Shiloh and Quinn Killian or will Tanner Birchwood play a bigger part.

Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for this ARC.

Shiloh Bellamy, with her pug Huckleberry, has left her life as a producer in Hollywood to go home to Western Michigan to try and save the family farm.

Shiloh is hosting a Fall Daze festival at her farm and a murder happens and her best friend Kristy is the small town police chiefs' favorite suspect. Shiloh needs to do some sleuthing and catch the killer.

This is book has everything; quirky characters, a small town we all want to live in, secrets, a friends maybe more than friends relationship, cute animal sidekicks, and a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end.

A fun culinary/farming cozy
Shiloh Bellamy returned home to the family farm after a stint in Hollywood, determined to make a go of it and make it organically. After using up her savings and paying down what was a huge debt on the farm, she still has a way to go to be in the black, but is making progress.
She plans a Fall Daze festival highlighting her organic food and the first day is a huge success....until the body is found, a woman who has recently had an argument with her best friend, Kristy. Now she is determined to find out what happened to clear her friend, but neither woman is prepared for all that comes out.
Ms. Flower paints small town dynamics with colorful characters and a fascinating tale of secret pasts. I received an ARC from NetGalley gratis and finished it in a day. I kept turning for the next revelation. My opinions are my own and freely given.
