Two sequential adventures for Marvin, Herbert, and Isis. Adventure 1, Marvin, Herbert, and Isis are on a quest to find magic fugus purit to clear out the castle. But is that actually what the Dungeonmaster has in mind? The trio has to figure out what is really going on and save the day. Then in Adventure 2, Herbert needs to announce to Marvin's mom that Marvin is engaged. One big problem. Marvin's mom has been murdered and now Herbert needs to solve this mystery before Marvin arrives. Will that happen or will it all go up in smoke? Two fun adventures for fans of Herbert and Marvin in the world of Dungeon!

Thanks Papercutz and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this title!

As someone who hasn't read the first few volumes, I thought I would be completely lost but was interested because of the fantasy setting and the art. It didn't take long for me to understand enough about the world and the characters to be caught-up which I appreciated. I love the art style, it reminds me a lot of the Sunday newspaper fantasy comics I use to read as a child. The story is pretty typical for a dungeons & dragons like setting except with more humor and sometimes a lot of self awareness of the fourth wall. A good read, I would like the read the first volumes too.

I really enjoyed this volume! I haven't read anything else in the series but didn't feel especially lost... and I would like to read more of them now since I read this in a single sitting.

The characters and plots were hilarious and the artwork is very pretty. Great worldbuilding too. The first story was very funny, with lots of twists and turns, but I especially liked the later story about Marvin and his mother. It was moving and thought-provoking but simultaneously silly and hilarious. That's a difficult balance to achieve :)

Recommended for D&D lovers and fans of comic fantasy.

This volume is totally in the spirit of the Dungeon series. If you know it, if you like it, you will enjoy this new volume. It is a little less inspired than the earlier volumes, but it is the same craziness and ridiculous fun. I liked the illustrations of this one, smoother and cleaner than the older, we see the experience of the artists having grown a lot.

This had its moments, and a few good lines, but I was not otherwise engaged by the story, the characters or the art.
