This is an interesting journey of a read! It felt like a middle grade novel in many respects, and yet in other ways not. I loved the elements of Persian poetry in the book. The book encompasses a family saga, magical elements, a historical backdrop of the Iran/Iraq war, timelines that go back and forth, as well as narrator changes. I think it would be great for book clubs.
