This is a YA romance geared towards people looking for LBGTQ+ themes.
Its a story involving 4 teenagers and alot of alcohol. I struggled with the writing but that may be due to the fact that I am in my 30's so I couldn't connect as well with the characters. It's my first novel by the Author and I am not in any way put off and will search for other works by them as I enjoyed the premise of the story. Thank you for this eARC.

I've read this book and while it wasn't a bad book, it was most definitely directed towards a younger audience. I am sad to report I do not fit in with that audience anymore. ;)
I like the fact that more and more books covering teens in this demographic are coming out, it's good that all teenagers can find books where they can see a representation of themselves.

That being said: this book is about bad girl Remington who finds herself in a thing with sexually loose Aspen even though they started out disliking eachother. The language and their actions come across as forced to me, but since I have to accept I'm well and truly out of the demographic for this book I will say I finished it and the plot in itself was interesting enough. I'm going for 3 stars since I think younger readers might enjoy this a whole lot more!

Dangerous Without You by Lexus Grey

Aspen, a popular cheerleader, is surviving the stress of young adult life with the help of meaningless sex and cheap alcohol until she meets the yin to her yang, Remington, a girl from the opposite side of the tracks. Denna and Raleigh are Aspen’s best friends who are also in luuuurrvveeee. The four friends, on the cusp between high school and adulthood, embark on unexpected journeys of self discovery.

This is a standalone novel and the first novel I have read by the author. I would recommend this title to anyone who are looking for more lgbtqia+ or representation. Any fans of YA romance would enjoy this book.

Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for providing me with an earc

This was not for me. I thought the dialogue was very childish, the storyline were unbelievanle and the characters were unlikeable. Aspen was really annoying, her friends and their relationship was just unhealthy. I skimmed through most of the second half because I just wasn't interested anymore.

This is the kind of book I wish I could have read in high school. Each girl is going through her own thing whether with peers or parents. The developing relationship between the MC's is very sweet and I was really rooting for them.

This book covers a traumatic subject very, very well by being sensitive and not sensationalising for the sake of the story. It’s an excellent look at teenage love, and the discovery of sexuality. The dialogue is believable and age appropriate. The author pulls of an impressive feel good after reading, which can’t have been easy given the intensity of the experiences. Truly a very good book.

This is not my usual read. Its geared toward a younger audience. Its about a group of 4 High School seniors in a lot of adult situations. There's a lot of underage drinking.
Aspen thrives on one night stands and alcohol until she meets Remington.
Remington is the badass of the group with a dad in prison and a mom with two jobs.
Denna and Raleigh are a young couple who is in love. Without giving too much away these four young adults deal with child abuse, sexual abuse and anger management. I enjoyed it and recommend.

Dangerous without you by Lexus Grey.

Dangerous without you is more for a younger audience, It's not my normal go-to read book, I admit I really did enjoy this story. There are some pretty heavy adult situations going on within the story so if your trigger sensitivity towards some topics such as child abuse, even tho it's not throughout the whole story, (there is a large portion that arises near the end).

I really enjoyed the build-up of trust between the 4 main characters, and how their relationships, romantic and friendship, unfolded as the story went on. You got a sense of how some of the characters felt as the story unfolded and it did become quite emotional in parts of the book.

I've not read anything from this author before and would love to read some more of her newer stories. Looking through Goodreads, this story originally came out in 2017, don't quote me on this tho, I could be wrong.

Aspen Wellington is whirling through life with the help of alcohol and one-night stands until she meets Remington Stone, a girl from the other side of the tracks. Somehow, Remington sees behind all Aspen's defenses, leading her on an unexpected journey of self-discovery.

Remington is a badass, with a father in prison and a mother working two jobs. Aspen, a spoiled, popular cheerleader, isn’t her type at all. Remington doesn’t want to like her, but she can’t seem to stop.

Denna Ashford and Raleigh Hunter are Aspen’s best friends. Denna is quick-witted but has temper issues. Raleigh is a genius with a difficult past who excels in everything. They’re in love, but that doesn’t mean their relationship is always perfect.

On the cusp between high school and adulthood, all four face challenges in life and romance that they never expect. Each is dangerous without the love and loyalty that holds them together, but their love for each other just might be the thing to save them all.

Dangerous without you, really really good read, great characters, and good solid storylines... you may need tissues

This was a young adult book with some grown-up problems and situations. The story is mainly about four girls who are seniors in high school three of them are best friends and cheerleaders. There's Aspen who is rich and kind of self centered and has self worth issues, because she never had parental supervision, and she tends to sleep around with any guy that asks, but she doesn't seem to think much about how this looks to others outside her circle of friends. Remington is a self proclaimed bad girl, but once you get to know her she's a daddy's girl first and she loves her mom to bits. She's also a straight A student who's a self proclaimed loner, just wanting to graduate and help her parents especially her dad get out of prison. Raleigh is Aspen's friend, but some times it felt like they didn't get along so well I felt that Raleigh tolerated her ,because Denna was Aspen's best friend and Raleigh's girlfriend. I really felt for all four of these girls especially Raleigh, because of the abuse she suffered at an early age. Denna had problems also but not as severe as the other girls. The relationship between Remington and Aspen was really very funny and sweet at the beginning and became more emotional and heartfelt towards the end. I loved how Remingtons mom supported her and Aspens relationship, she is a parent anyone would be proud of. Denna and Raleigh's relationship was more established because they were together longer but it was just as loving and they were so supportive of each other. I can't say enough great things about this book. I would definitely recommend this book to all my friends and family. I look forward to what this author writes next.

A wild ride!

Life is anything but simple for Aspen, Remington, Denna, and Raleigh as they all battle through those last years of high school. Aspen is a wild child, a bit out of control and promiscuous until Remington manages to connect with her. Remington has a bit of a chip on her shoulder and at first Aspen irritates her but she can’t deny that she likes her, no matter how hard she tries. While Aspen and Remington are exploring their attraction, Denna and Raleigh are navigating the complexities of being in love and maintaining their relationship.

A good mix of high-school drama, adolescent drama, and navigating all the difficulties faced in growing up, developing relationships, and managing family dramas. It reminded me of a mix of all those movies that you watch when you just want to feel everything and I loved it. You had your cheerleaders, emotionally deep personalities, good girls, bad girls, all adding to a story that was a whirlwind of emotion, drama, romance, and hotter moments that were all handled with an age appropriate sensitivity.

This feels like it is aimed more at Young Adults in its subject and nature, but it was a great trip down memory lane for me. It reminded me of all the drama when I was younger and how much impact it all had on my life and those around me. I loved every moment of the story and really found it easy to read and get carried away with everything going on with all four of the characters. Lexus has entwined their stories, making a great story about friendship and relationships, but touches on deeper and darker subjects at times, which again are all handled with respect and sensitivity but portray the effects and impacts of four different lives on four very different characters that all share a few things in common.

I really enjoyed the story and recommend it to young adult readers, and anyone who just wants the chance to get all wrapped up in teenage drama!

This is a bo0ok about 4 senior high school students. Aspen is a footyloose Gile with one night stands and alcohol. Remington is a tough girl on the outside without many friends. Denna and Raleigh are two girls in love. The book follows them through their senior year and it's many challenges. It was hard to foll0ow the plot and there was sex and underage alcohol throughout the book. Aspen falls in love ithg Remington and cleans up her act while Raleigh and Deanna face sex abuse challenges. I found the characters immature even for high school seniors. Raleigh was the only mature character. I would recommend this book only if you could look past the underage drinking and sex.

This is the story of young love and the road for two young women who have other obstacles they must encounter.

Their friends are a source of help to keep them centered along the way.

Things are never easy especially for teenagers, is their love enough to?
