This book had it all - humor, heart and a main character that was enjoyable to get to know. Will read this author again.

Quick read with humor and heart. I appreciated that the conflict was realistic and made sense for the characters. It is rare that kids in single parent books are shown and I appreciated that they were, as that is usually one of my biggest hang-ups with this trope.

This was a cute book and full of laughs. Single mom April, who is a social influencer that teaches moms how to stay calm, loses her cool while filming live. Trying to repair April's mess places Jack right in the middle of her not so calm mess. Yet another LOl addition to this series, April appears one way to everyone else but behind the scenes you feel awful for how exhausted and run ragged she really is and all you want to do is wrap her up in a big hug. Step in Jack who is not only from April's brand owner but also her friend Rachel's brother from Rachel, Out of Office and he is the breath of fresh air she needs. There are so so many laughs along with a few tears and situation April gets herself into not just by herself but with Jack has you not only loving but at times feeling awful for her. You are rooting for April to find her new and happy self along with needing her and Jack to get together as they are just perfect for each other.

This was a cute quick romance. Loved the relationships in Aprils life - romantic, friendships and with her kids. Everything was so relatable and lots of laugh out loud moments.

This is the third book in the mommy wars series. I think this is a really fun series, and I really enjoyed this book. The books are so realistic and full of humor. It’s a really fun romance series, I recommend checking it out!

Gotta love a book about a woman who is a hot mess! I connected with this book because I felt so many similarities during this time in my life!

April is what I call “A Wonder Mom” she juggles like a pro, but she feels she is dropping the ball. Now April’s mommy disaster video goes viral. Can she clean up this mess, or is she done for?

Jack is what we call “A Fixer” as April’s manger his job is just about to get interesting. Jack not being a family man he believes kids are for everyone else but him. What he did not expect is April and her kids.

April and Jack have chemistry for sure, but what I enjoyed most is April and Jack’s witty banter with each other, with the family and their friends. April May Fall is a quirky sexy read that gives a new meaning to the word chaos. *Grins*

This was so fun and charming. Well written, witty, and with a fast pace that kept me entertained from start to finish. The characters were amazing and quirky, and I adored the chemistry between April and Jack. The everyday struggles of being a mom were incredibly relatable. I did not realize this was #3 in a series. and I don't think that mattered to my reading. Anything that was backstory from a previous book was woven into this story perfectly. I think this does a great job of depicting how easily we can distract ourselves and those around us with our social media presence. I enjoyed this story!

Who knew a single mom trope was something I enjoyed? I didn't, but i LOVED this one. The kids, the FMC and the MMC were just right.

I enjoyed this one! I love the idea of the Mommy Wars series and I like that each character is so detailed and specific. April was great to read about and I flew through this book.

Coming in new to the series, April May Fall by Christina Hovland really caught my attention. The third book in the Mommy Wars series, from what I have read, can be read as a standalone as well as the others. This was fun and relatable for those moms out there who work and truly have tried it all.

April Davis, like so many women out there, got shafted when it came to her love life. Here story like so many others where the husband leaves one day to run off while his wife is left behind with the children. For many it’s hard to rebuild but we love seeing people like April. Getting a chance to find her way through an opportunity to become a social influencer has really given her a purpose through all the imperfections.

Rising up and cheering her on from the sidelines, she’s been dubbed the Calm Mom. She shows mom how to stay calm through yoga. Despite the brand mantra she is trying to help with other women, her life sort of tells a different story. All changes when a live stream goes viral for just the opposite and she finds herself and her brand under a microscope. To help revitalize her downward spiral, media consultant to her brand, Jack Gibson, comes to town bringing more than just his ideas. As he spends more time with her and rebuilding her brand, they find themselves exploring more than just the job.

Overall, I loved the book and look forward to back reading to catch up and see what’s to come. April was one of the characters that you can see yourself in and for those moms out there who can relate, can breathe a sigh of relief that you are not alone. One of the highlights in the book was the support of her friends that brought some memorable laugh out loud moments which made you want to be a part of their group. The book blended their friendship, divorce and learning how to embrace second chances. If you are looking for a fun new series, you should check this out.

Nothing warms my romantic heart more than a second chance at romance. I mean single moms need love too! April used those training wheels to help her see what was inside her all along. Most importantly, Jake didn't try and push his way into her life. I would have loved more romance scenes. The cover is spot on.

This was my first time reading something by Christina Hovland, and I can say for sure that I'll definitely be coming back for more, probably starting with the other books in this series.

I think it's a sign of great craftsmanship when an author can make you put yourself in the shoes of a character that's going through something you've never experienced and can't really relate to. I don't have kids, so the struggles and victories of motherhood aren't something I'm familiar with, but this book still managed to have me commiserating with and rooting for April from the very first chapters.

The frazzled energy that I'm betting is an intrinsic part of life when you're a single parent raising three kids under the age of nine came through loud and clear. And was there throughout the story. April's kids didn't magically turn into perfectly behaved little angels, they kept being messy, stubborn, sometimes inappropriate kids acting their age. This book wasn't about April turning into supermom, it was about her journey to realizing there's no such thing as perfect when it comes to parenting. You do the best you can, some days will be better than others, you may fall down sometimes, but as long as you continue to get up and love each other, it'll always be okay in the end.

It was a super feel good story, with a wonderful cast of supporting characters, three perfectly average kids (yay for no trope-y precocious little geniuses here) and enough slow-burn sexual tension to keep you warm through the coldest of winter nights.

Jack and April had exceptional chemistry, and I loved getting to be inside both of their heads thanks to the dual POV. They were both very nuanced characters, firmly grounded in reality. Same with the kids. All three of them had unique voices and personalities, and as I've said, I highly enjoyed seeing them behave in typical kid fashion.

But back to the main couple, it was wonderful how April ended up getting her confidence back not because of Jack, but thanks to him. The journey to self-love and realizing her worth was one she had to make on her own, but he was there next to her to cheer her on and celebrate her accomplishments together. Which was almost as melt-your-heart sweet as Jack recognizing how each of April's kids was struggling after their dad left them, and quietly trying to help them heal also.

The writing was evocative and made it exceptionally easy to picture the whole story unfolding, the pace was fantastic and the plot progression perfectly smooth. It was a great book all around and I'm excited to read more from Christina!

Each character has been written very consistently and the storyline developed very well.

This is another chapter in the Mommy Wars books. I love them! First, the mom group of friends is amazing. Every mom needs a group like this---so supportive and fun. This is April's story. She's reeling from a divorce and learning to cope. She meets Jack and as they are in forced proximity, their relationship evolves. We come along and watch April go from nervous and scared to finding her voice.

Although April and Jack take center stage, many of the other moms make appearances as well as everyone's kids. All of the characters are multi-dimensional and real---their actions, their interactions and, of course, their fights. As always, I am left waiting for the next one...

Christina Hovland really knows how to make you laugh until you *almost* pee your pants. I loved April May Fall
