I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you NetGalley.
First off this cover is so gorgeous! Rhys is the most adorable human ever. He is so sweet to Ariel and he knows about our queen SJM! I mean ✨swoon✨. I love the inclusion in this book as well. Our main character Ariel was plus size and I related so much to her anxieties and self doubts especially with the trust fall exercise. The friendship between Ariel and Toni was great and the mother daughter one as well. I think the end conflict was a little abrupt but over all this was a really cute read! I think this would be perfect for middle/early high schoolers.

First, I wanted to say I honestly was really excited for this book and starting off I thought it was good but as I continued it just got painful to read. Throughout the story it kept getting worse, the references made were just really corny and the main character, although I loved her she felt like “i’m not like other girls” type person (which i’m pretty sure she actually says this in the book). Also, it didn’t seem realistic due to the way the characters talked to one another, it was really cringey and in real life no teenager talks like that. The relationship though I thought was sweet and I prob would have liked this story more if I was younger. Overall I’d give this a 2/5 and I hope to others that read this book enjoy it more than I did. Thank you to Netgalley for letting me read this book for an honest review.
