These poems inside this book represent real life moments growing up. It's like the author of the book wrote some really honest poems about her life.

I adore Kelsea Ballerini and I’ve been a huge fan of her music for years so when I heard about her releasing a book of poetry, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I’m so grateful to NetGalley for sending me this ARC because I was very anxiously awaiting its release in November!

I love this beautiful book of poetry! I’m not surprised because she writes incredible lyrics for her music already! Kelsea really shared huge parts of her life with us throughout this book from heartbreaking moments to fun teenage stories to heartfelt hopes and dreams and everything in between. The stories she told throughout are relatable and vivid in a way that really paint a picture of the inside of her brain and how she’s gotten to where she is now. This is more than a quick book of poetry from a celebrity that is given everything, she’s worked hard to get where she is and she has human problems just like the rest of us and she beautifully encapsulates the complexity of life and everything it entails. Definitely pick up this book when it’s released, even if poetry’s never been your thing, this book can resonate with anyone!

I absolutely love Kelsea and have been following her career since the very beginning. I was thrilled to receive this galley and so excited to dive right in! I’m not normally a huge fan of poetry but for Kelsea I had to make an exception. It was so nice hearing such relatable thoughts from one of country hottest stars! I find people who are fans will love her even more and those who are just getting to know Kelsea through this book will become instant fans! She tackles so many different topics young women are going through today love, heartbreak, society’s expectations so it was really beautifully put together! It comes out in November so it will make a perfect stocking stuffer!

This collection of poetry by Ballerini is deeply emotional, poignant and candid. I was stoked when PR reached out for press coverage to be published later on. I totally was not disappointed. I could relate to some of the poems and highly recommend this title. I cannot wait for the general public to get their hands on it. I applaud Kelsea for being so brutally honest with her fans/readers. She knows how to word herself beautifully whether it's through song or poetry. Kelsea fan or not, purchase it when it drops. I plan on buying a copy myself. Go stream her music too!

I am not the target audience for this book, so it didn't speak to me. I prefer poetry that is more literary, lyrical, and imagistic. The language in this book is very straightforward, so it's easy to read, but there's inconsistent use of rhyming and rhythm, which I found distracting. The messages are positive, vulnerable, and empowering. This would be a good book for teens, girls in particular.

I am not a huge poetry reader, but I love Kelsea Ballerini so I requested this book. I really thought her poetry was great. Some fun stuff, Some really hard stuff, and some beautiful stuff were all talked about in this book. It is certainly a book I will purchase . I will certainly be purchasing a copy of this book for myself. It will be a title I will recommend to our patrons as well .
