The Fairy Godmothers are at it again. This series is seriously growing on me! It Happened One Midnight is the third installment in the Fairy Godmothers Inc. series and by far my favorite.

Juniper is the granddaughter of the Godmothers and the author of what sounds like some pretty hot romance novels.

Tomas is a divorce attorney, who is trying to right the wrongs done to his mother by trying to make the divorce process fair to both parties.

She is a hopeless romantic who believes in Happily Ever After.

He is a cynic that believes no romantic relationship is built to last.

They have been best friends since childhood and joked about getting married to each other and now are faking an engagement to please everyone else.

The Fairy Godmothers have invited them to Ever After so that they can do what they do best. Meddle.

This book was so sweet and funny! I felt like I was smiling the entire time I was reading it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved the first two books in this series, and I enjoyed this one. But I did find that there were times I just didn’t connect with the story. But overall, I loved the characters, and I still absolutely adored the meddling fairy godmothers. Plus in this book, we have meddling mammas. This was a sweet, funny story. Juniper is a loves love romance author and her best friend Thomas, doesn’t believe in love. The perfect pair right? But pretending to be engaged brings on real life sparks, (with the help of some meddling godmothers). If you love fairy tails, happily ever afters, and sweet funny characters, you’ll enjoy this story. And I’m looking forward to the next one.

This hits all my favorite tropes and my only complaint was that there was too little book! Where is my next one please!!??

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC which I received in return for an honest review.

I adored this adult fairytale so much. Being back in the town of Ever After, MO is always a good thing, I didn’t like this book as much as the first two books, but don’t get me wrong it was still really enjoyable! There were several funny parts, a few steamy scenes and a bunch of fun town characters (many from the previous books). If you are looking for something light and fun to read, this is it. One of my favorite parts is how the author references well known fairytales throughout her books. I’m still giggling over β€˜Rumpled Butt Skin’ πŸ˜‚ Thank you @netgalley for this #arc in exchange for my honest review

This is such an amazing series. I have been recommending it to everyone who will listen. I highly recommend this book. The character development is amazing. The storyline absolutely enthralled me. I absolutely adore this book.

It happened one midnight, by Saranna DeWylde, is the classic love story you need in your life, it gives you everything you could wish for: love, magic, laughs. I laughed out loud A LOT, let me tell you, ad awwwwwed as hard. The characters are funny and relatable, the love story is largely known (two best friends are in love with each other, except they aren't aware of that) but funny and cute nonetheless, plus the book is very short and fluid it can be read in a few hours time. You won't regret reading it!

I was really excited to read this book. Novelist? Grump-sunshine trope? Yes, please. However this book just didn’t meet my expectations.

In this book, you meet Juniper, an author, who writes happily ever after’s, and dreams of getting her own. After being pestered by her family about having a man, she makes up a lie and says that she is engaged to Tomas.

Now let’s talk about Tomas. He’s Juniper’s best friend. He’s a divorce attorney. Basically, he hates love.

I wanted them together, because hello! Friends-to-lovers? Absolutely.

This book is cute. It just lacked what I was searching for. I do think it’s a good feel-good read.

Sorry for the short review, but I truly didn’t have much to say about this book. It’s a cute, light read.

Thanks to the publisher for an advanced copy of this novel.

This is a make-cute very reminiscent of the Broken Heart Vampires series - which I really enjoyed. Who doesn't love a good supernatural romance?

It Happened One Midnight is the third title in the Fairy Godmothers, Inc. series. I hadn’t read the first stories in the series, but didn’t feel the least bit lost as anything I really needed to know was within the dialogue or narrative. However, I will go looking for those first two stories as I’d like to know how this series started, and how those earlier romances came about.

I confess, I giggled throughout It Happened One Midnight. Three grandmothers who also happen to be fairy godmothers, a magical small town, strange happenings going on, and love in the air everywhere… what’s not to love about that, really? Juniper is a romance novelist who is holding out for that β€œperfect” man. She may write about finding love in unlikely pairings, but she knows what she wants, a soulmate who thinks exactly as she does on everything and blends in with her life with ease. Ah, yeah, that’s not usually how love works but good try, girl. Juniper is heading back home and she’s not about to be paired off by her grandmothers so she’s thinking ahead of the game by asking her best friend to temporarily become β€œengaged” to stop their matchmaking efforts. And, yeah, we probably can guess how that goes but it was such fun seeing how Juniper and Thomas finally got their heads on straight enough to not only believe in love but to be in love with each other.

Thomas is a firm believer in the β€œlove is just a physical reaction to attraction” camp. He does not believe in everlasting love, and being a divorce lawyer he does get to see people at their worst when their marriages break up. But he’s not buying that there’s someone out there perfect for him in every way. So, sure he’ll go along with being engaged to his best friend, especially as that little lie will help him at the old-fashioned law firm he works for as well. I loved watching these people two fall heart first into love – and all the magical elements as well.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Juniper Blossom, and Tomas Rivera have been best friends from infancy, and throughout college. Juniper is a famous Romance Writer, and Tomas Rivera is a successful Divorce Attorney, and they made a promise that they'd marry each other if they didn't find someone to love and marry by their mid 30s. Pressure from their mothers, Juniper's Fairy Godmothers, as well as Tomas job wanting him to be married to make Partner in the Law office, they decide to pretend to get engage. Juniper realizes she's always loved Tomas, but Tomas fears commitment, and doesn't believe in love, fights his attraction, and refuses to admit his feelings for Juniper.

On a visit to the town, EVER AFTER to attend a wedding, and visit with the Godmothers, the town people as well as animals work their magic to get these two together. Hilarious! Juniper realizes that she can't settle for less than being in love, and shares her feelings with Tomas, but he can't handle it and flees EVER AFTER. Tomas has to come to terms, admit his feeling for Juniper, and return to EVER AFTER. Unfortunately, the town will only appear to those that believe in the magic of love. Will Tomas be able to find it? If not, the Godmothers have someone else lined up that will make Juniper happy.

β€œIf we’re going to burn, it may as well be in the hottest fire.”

Juniper believes in the real forever type of love, so much so that writes romance novels, however when it comes to real life its not so easy to find Mr Right, especially with her three meddlesome grandmothers constantly trying to set her up with Tomas, her childhood best friend. However just maybe the grandmothers are on to something here with the underlying chemistry between these two besties. Soon Tomas and Juniper find their feelings beginning to surface when pushed together while on holiday in Ever After, but the real question is will Tomas finally begin to believe in happily ever afters?

I absolutely love this series, where can I find myself a fairy Godmother of my own? These three lady’s are absolutely awesome, I love all their meddling and poking and planning. I was really hoping for Ravenna’s story this time round, guess we have to wait a bit longer for this cold heart to melt.

β€’β€’

β€œThat’s one of the things I love about you, Juniper. You see magic in everything, and you believe. No matter what, you keep believing.”

I do love a good forced proximity meets friends to lovers romance and this was most definitely what we got from Juniper and Tomas. I really liked that they had this underlying tension and their feeling have been bubbling under for a long while. One of the things that I loved about Juniper was that she didn’t give up on what she truly wanted even if it meant having to break her own heart.

β€’β€’

As for our guy Tomas, got to love a grinchy hero and that was our boy right here. I loved that Ever After was such a loving slap in his face and he was forced to face his own feelings. It was really cute getting to see this hardened divorce lawyer warm up to love.

I really enjoyed reading It Happened One Midnight, this and the rest of the Fairy Godmother Inc series is a definite must read!

This was a cute read about Juniper and Tomas who have been friends since childhood. They make a pact to get married when they turn 34 if they haven't met their one true love. Juniper is a romance author and Tomas is a divorce lawyer. She believes in love but him not so much.

Add magic and three fairy godmothers and the story gets interesting.

It Happened One Midnight is a best-friends to lovers story with a magical touch. Saranna DeWylde’s third Fairy Godmothers, Inc. book has all the sugar and love-powered magic and mayhem I’ve come to expect from the series, but this is one novel that might have worked better as a novella.

Juniper and Tomas have been best friends since childhood. Everything about how they act screams couple, and they acknowledge they love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together, but they’re not in love. Except with a little help from interfering…well, everybody…Tomas and Juniper start seeing each other in a new light. And once they recognize their mutual attraction it becomes a push-pull between giving into desire and standing firm on what they want. Juniper and Tomas’s problem is they want two different things. Juniper is a romance novelist who believes in love and happily ever after. Tomas is a divorce lawyer who doesn’t believe in true love or the aforementioned happily ever after. He doesn’t want he and Juniper to become like the broken couples he works with every day. Tomas doesn’t want to get married and Juniper does; both are valid. But everyone in their lives is pushing he and Juniper down the aisle; his bosses are even dangling a promotion in front of him if he gets married. The problem with this being a full-length novel is the longer things went on, the more it felt like Tomas was being bullied into love and marriage. Not wanting those things is perfectly valid and the pressure on him was so immense (especially when it came to his job) that it was uncomfortable. Yes, it’s clear he and Juniper are meant to be, and yes, he needed to come around to see all that she is to him, but it isn’t fun to see someone forced into it. The one saving grace was Juniper never pushed him to be other than he was. She was firm on what she believes and stood up for herself, but she also showed Tomas the respect of not invalidating what he believes.

As a couple, Juniper and Tomas work well and are easy to root for. They have good chemistry, their love for one another is clear. They just needed a push to go to the next step – the push being mostly bringing their lustful feelings to the forefront. It’s easy to like Juniper and Tomas, though again, I felt bad for the latter because even the town (not the residents – the town itself) of Ever After seemed to go after him because he doesn’t believe in romantic love. The obstacles are drawn out and got a bit repetitive. However, I liked the main characters and ultimately Juniper and Tomas had a satisfying happily ever after that did feel like it worked for both characters.

It Happened One Midnight is the third Fairy Godmothers, Inc. book and it can easily be read as a standalone. Juniper’s grandmothers, Petunia, Bluebonnet, and Jonquil, are as sugar-fueled and ready to interfere as ever. They’re a bit much for me at times, are a bit heavy-handed with the exposition, and their zaniness is just not my cup of tea, but that’s personal preference. Aside from the town wildlife targeting Tomas, the magical town of Ever After was as adorable as ever. I enjoy DeWylde’s spin on fairytales and it was fun to see all the popular romance tropes appear with characters who know and acknowledge those tropes.

Another great Fairy tale retelling from Saranna DeWylde. I absolutely love the imaginary town of Ever After. DeWylde has created a wonderful fantasy world I can't wait to return to over and over again. This was another delightful romance featuring the Fairy Godmothers and Juniper. Opposites attract, best friends and fake dating tropes were used to perfection but I still can't wait for Hunter's story, hopefully that will be next. If you're looking for a some smart, open door romance full of heart look no further! Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advance review copy!

This is feel good, heart warming holiday read. Juniper and Tomas are best friends but their take on love and happily ever after is totally different. Where Juniper strongly belives in this and portrays it to the world as an author, Tomas is a divorce attorney who has his doubts. To keep away her meddling grandmothers, she comes up with an idea of fake engagement and he can't say no to her and also takes this as an opportunity to come step closer to being a partner at the firm as it is their criteria.

Juniper is a romance author who is an optimist about love, and is holding out for the real thing. Tomas is a divorce attorney who is cynical, and doesn’t put much stock in love. However, they both have feelings for each other and try to fight it in fear that they’ll ruin their friendship. I love the flashback moments throughout the story (it’s one of my favorite things in childhood friends-to-lovers stories). The tension was great, and you really root for these two to get together-for real. I also thought the fairy godmothers were hilarious. I really enjoyed this story and I’m going to check out the other two books in this Fairy Godmothers, Inc series.

This is the third book in the Fairy Godmothers, Inc series, but it can be read as a standalone novel. More matchmaking hijinks ensue as the fairy godmothers of Ever After start meddling in the love life of their granddaughter.

Juniper and Tomas are lifelong best friends, but only one of them believes that romantic love exists. As Juniper falls more and more in love, Tomas continues to hide from the truth of his feelings. The matchmaking and meddling ramps up as time runs out on their chance at Happily Ever After.

Thank you to Netgalley for the arc of this book.

Enjoyable third installment of this series with a friends to lovers. Juniper & Tomas have long been friends but a lack of believing in love (on Tomas's part) is keeping them from their happily ever after. The three adorable godmothers are back to meddling and orchestrating all things for the town's good.

This series just keeps getting better. I am in love with the Godmothers of Fairy Godmothers Inc. They are always sticking their noses into the love lives of the people they love the most. Ofcourse they have the greatest intentions of all. Saranna DeWylde has done it again with this book. She has made the fairytale world come to life, and the romance is off the charts.
