I honestly thought The Introvert’s Guide to Online Dating was going to be a super cute romcom with fade-to-black smutty scenes. Oh boy, was I wrong. Let’s just say, the audiobook for this may be a little NFSW.

The opening scene is Tori visiting her grandmother at her retirement home. The seniors are participating in a pottery class that has gone off the rails, with the seniors sculpting suggestive body parts with the clay. Honestly, I was laughing so hard that I’m sure my coworkers were wondering what was happening in my office.

Then readers meet Colton, whose grandfather also lives at the same retirement home. Colton is also visiting and as the two walk out of the pottery class, it’s quickly evident that the two are more than just acquaintances. (Like, oh my god, can you hear what they’re saying through my headphones? Face aflame. Maybe I should listen to this at home, type of conversation between Tori and Colton.)

However Colton’s sister sets up an online dating profile for him and Tori’s friends set her up on a date. Only as they start to see other people do they come to realize what they’re actually looking for in a relationship and love.

I did expect more online dating or first date scenes, based on the title, but I truly enjoyed Tori and Colton’s story!

The Introvert’s Guide to Online Dating was cute, and hot, and steamy. And thank goodness my office is further away from everyone else at work because I’m sure my face was flushed more than once while listening to this!

Thank you to the publisher, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for the review copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a very quick and easy read. Nothing earth-shattering but definitely enjoyable.

Let me first say I listened to this on audiobook and the narration and performance were perfect!

I did enjoy Tori and Colton. Their grandparents were hilarious and really enriched the story. All of the supporting characters were relatable. It was easy to get lost in this book for a few hours.

I am not sure I really "got" the title. Neither Tori nor Colton seem particularly introverted and online dating is a very minor piece of the story.

With that said, if you are looking for a quick read with well developed characters and witty banter, this one will not disappoint!

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book-but then towards the end it seemed kind of choppy, like there were pieces missing that would link ideas together. That being said, it was funny and had enough lighthearted scenes to balance those that were more serious. I was able to receive the audio version and it made my commutes much more enjoyable. I would read more books from this author, and I call it a win when I find an author whose books I would purchase.

Tori and Colton are equally being pushed by a friend and his sister to pursue online dating. Neither wants to try as dating in the past has left them wanting. Oh, and they also kind of hate each other and happen to be randomly hooking up. It's all a secret though because heaven forbid people think they like each other after all.
Seeing how short the audiobook is, I was unprepared for the steam level. This is also my first read by Emma so I went in with no previous conceptions to her writing style. It didn't seem out of context necessarily, but more out of norm based on my experience with novella length books.
With the title, I expected a little bit more online dating experiences to have been spelled out on the page. But overall, it was an easy listen. I can't remember ever having read a hate with benefits to lovers couple before. I liked how they equally enjoyed arguing with the other as it seemed to ramp up the tension and chemistry.
The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Tim Paige, were great. I thought each were perfectly suited for both POVs.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

This was enjoyable. I did find the heroine slightly annoying at times with her constant Debby downer persona but i did enjoy this nonetheless

Colton and Tori have been friends/enemies for a while and lovers secretly for a little bit. We come into the story months into their meet ups. This isn’t really a standalone book in the series as their initial meeting was in a previous book. But what this book has is humor and back and forth banter between the two characters. The story read as chapters really. Each serving their purpose. I did enjoy this book overall for mainly the humor between the two.

This was a short, light story full of irreverent humor and well-written steam. Unfortunately, though, I couldn't quite connect with the MCs. Maybe it was due to the length of the book, but I just never felt like I knew them and couldn't quite understand their motivations or their antagonism. They both read a little younger than their stated ages, at least to me.

That said, there's plenty of fun banter and sweet, supportive friendships. The narration is well done and I like that they used separate readers for the dual POVs.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to access this audiobook!

This book is cute! The characters are adorable too! The go from enemies to lovers before the book starts but they don’t lose the enemies attitude until about halfway through the book lol

She has a secret crush on him, he has a secret crush on her but they don’t know how to have an honest conversation with each other 😂😂

He finally gets up the courage to open that door and some shenanigans ensue for a bit.

This book is light on the spice but heavy on the fun storyline wing unique characters.

This book was narrated mostly by Savannah Peachwood with some Tim Paige chapters thrown in lol I love both of these narrators and they fit the parts well!

This is my first time reading this author. It was an interesting story and it kept my attention. I wish it was longer and gave more backstory to the main characters. I would continue with the series but not a priority. Gave it a 3 🌟

This was a short and sweet enemies-to-lovers romance. I enjoyed Colton and Tori, but wished the book was a little longer. It contains a little bit of spice.

I thought the narrators did a wonderful job.

Wow this one starts "hard" and fast.

In small town Montana, Tori and Colton have always battled in their friend group but behind closed doors have started a steamy beneficial agreement and I don't mean cuddling. When Colton's sister insists he gets back out there and starts him an online dating profile both Tori and Colton must decide weather they will continue their hot secret. But is it just sex or are feelings starting to show?

This was definitely a hot read with some amazing details. The easy storyline and late night meetings kept me reading. Favorite: snack and sex toy drawer! The ending was disappointing though. The last chapter didn't even have Tori in it? If it were up to me, part of the epilogue would be another chapter and the epilogue would contain the big proposal.

This couple has been brewing since the Bookworm books. I’m glad hey finally found their happily ever after. Here’s to Piper and London next.

The Introvert’s Guide to Online Dating is a frenemies-to-lovers, small town, best friend’s brother romance told in dual, alternating first-person POV. It is the first installment in The Introvert’s Guide series; though it is technically stand-alone, it is deeply connected to some of the author’s other works that should probably be read first (more detail later in this review).

Tori and Colton cannot seem to agree on anything, except how much they enjoy their frenemies-with-benefits relationship. They belong to a large mutual friend group in a small town and at the start of this book have been secretly having no-strings-attached sex for the last six months. While juggling meddlesome friends, eccentric grandparents, and disastrous communication, they struggle to admit the development of romantic feelings (to themselves and each other) and transition their relationship from casual to formal dating.

This story was funny and light-hearted, with an amazing cast of characters. I connected easily with all the friends and was very amused by the antics at the senior home. The narration by Savannah Peachwood and Tim Paige was flawless.

My one disappointment with this book was that I felt there was a bit of character development, and even the foundation of the main characters’ relationship, that was missing. This was my first book by this author, which I thought was fine since it is the first book in a series. It was clear early on from the mention of side characters (including some established couples) with little introduction that there were other books by this author set in the same universe, and with some research I found that there is one standalone (The Girl Next Door, and its prequel The One Night Stand Next Door) and another series (The Bookworm’s Guides) that serve as the introduction of this group of friends. After reading some other reviews of this book, I even found mention that Tori and Colton were previously set up on a date by their friends and that is what sparked their physical relationship (none of which was mentioned in this book). While I still enjoyed this story on its own, I wish I had read the other interconnected books before this one since there wasn’t much restatement of the characters’ history or even physical descriptions to make this book what I would consider a true standalone/series starter. That said, I liked these characters so much that I have already added all the previously published books to my TBR and am excited to go back to the beginning before continuing with this series.

I always enjoy Emma Hart’s books so this was a no brainer to request. This sweet and easy rom com features Colton and Tori with a secret romance/ quasi enemies to lovers vibe. Both characters are adorable but the shining star in this are their grandparents and the chickens. I could read about the adventures of Meryl Cheep forever. I enjoyed all of the friend characters as well and look forward to seeing them in future novels.

I recommend for rom com fans who like easy and relatively low drama stories- it is a little spicy at the beginning with the smut: This is a very straight forward book and a quick read. I thought both narrators did a great job.

Thank you for the opportunity to read it!

***5 Stars***

Having already read and enjoy the book, so I was curious to see how I would feel about it being narrated, and I have to say, the narrators took it to another level. I loved how they brought Tori and Colt to life ~ along with all the other characters ~ and brought an emotional depth that can at times be missing from the print version

Oh Tori and Colt...you both had me laughing while rolling my eyes A LOT throughout this book.

Not that I didn’t know that would happen because after all the time spent with them in The Bookworms Guide Series I already knew that they would take the term “oil and water” to a whole new level...and boy did they ever.

I cannot deny that I loved them both. They are both all about being their for their friends and family ~ even when they drive them beyond insanity ~ and truly do love hard in all things. And the chemistry between them was HAWT ~ talk about being passionate, even when that passion pushed their bantering into something that toed the line into being more mean than just biting. But they worked. On a crazy level, they just worked and I’m very thankful that they have the friends around them that they do because I was seriously wishing I could reach into the Kindle and do a ton of Gibbs smacking.

This was another fun read from the White Peak crew. I loved hanging out with everyone and just getting to see how those who are couple up are doing in their relationships and seeing how their friendships have become stronger. And then there are the grandparents...I honestly hope I’m that ornery when I’m their age *BSEG* though I could probably do without the chickens and ducks.

Cute, entertaining, enemies to lovers/secret romance. This is a lighthearted romcom - I enjoyed Tori and Colton, their grandparents and their chickens!

I'd like to thank Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for providing this book for an honest review.

I normally like short romance reads but I just couldn't get into this book at all. First, the title and cover do not mesh. The girl on the cover does not look like an introvert in the least. Next, Tori was definitely not an introvert and was really unlikable. I found her immature and for the most part rude. I'm not sure what Colton saw in her. Also, I know the grandma was supposed to be funny and maybe it was just me but I just wasn't feeling it. It seemed like just a little too much for the story and I'm not sure it added anything to it. Last, and honestly this will probably appeal to a lot of people but there was just too much swearing and sex scenes. I found myself wanting to rush through the scenes just to get them over with. I really wanted to like this book because RomCom is one of my favorite genres.

This was cute and fun and sassy. I was definitely not the target audience for it though unfortunately.

This was a quick, and funnish audiobook that was definitely steamy and about dating, but really had nothing to do with online-dating....so I was a little confused about the headings for each chapter and their application to the story.

Colton and Tori are frenemies-with-benefits. They have a no-strings attached relationship (if you can call the booty call-only thing a relationship), and outside of their booty-calls, they pretty much hate each other. Or do they???

This is a fun enemies-to-lovers trope (or frenemies-to-lovers?) that is super quick. I think because it was so quick there was just such a lack of development in the plot. It went from frenemies to lovers...just too quickly. I felt like I missed something. However, if you enjoy some steam, pick this one up. And don't listen if anyone else can hear it:)

This audiobook was not what I was expecting. I did not find the characters overly likeable and the storyline was not intriguing to me. My library will unfortunately not be purchasing this title.
